Pumpkin let out a soft sigh as she glanced at the clock. Her shift at the ice cream shop along the beach was almost over. She perked up as another hero stepped up to order some ice cream. Pumpkin took his order and went to make it.

As she made it, she heard a sound behind her. She turned her head and saw Bandit barging into the shop, disturbing some of the heroes who were sitting next to the door. Bandit went over and stood in the corner, probably waiting for Pumpkin.

Pumpkin happily handed the hero back his ice cream, about to turn around when he started talking. “That cat is up to no good,” he said to her. “Running in here like that, just to stand in the corner? I’d watch out.”

Pumpkin rolled her eyes. Bandit wasn’t going to do anything, she knew Bandit too well for that. She went back to waiting for her shift to end. As she was waiting, she heard the heroes whispering amongst themselves about how Bandit was probably going to try and rob the shop, or wait until Pumpkin’s shift was over to kidnap her.

Pumpkin glanced at the clock again. Finally! Her shift was over. She could prove these guys wrong. Pumpkin took off her apron, waved to the heroes, and walked over to Bandit. Bandit swept Pumpkin off her feet into a big bear hug, spinning her around.

“Hey Bandit,” Pumpkin said with a smile.

Bandit set Pumpkin down on the ground after Pumpkin hugged her back. Bandit gently took Pumpkin’s small paw and led her out of the shop. Pumpkin saw the shocked expressions of the heroes still in the shop.

Bandit picked Pumpkin up again. She sat down on her motorbike, setting Pumpkin down in front of her. Pumpkin felt Bandit tighten her grip a bit, and she was relieved. It made her feel more secure on the bike.

Bandit started it up and drove off. Pumpkin watched the scenery go by as Bandit made her way to their property. Once they got there, Bandit stopped the bike. Pumpkin hopped off, humming slightly to herself.

“Bandit, let’s go explore!” Pumpkin chirped. “Let’s explore... where you haven’t! How about that way?” Pumpkin pointed towards a small forest.

“Sure,” Bandit replied, getting off the bike. “Don’t get hurt.”

Pumpkin set off towards the forest, trotting happily along. She made her way to the forest, Bandit following behind her. Pumpkin went into the forest, starting to look around as they walked through it.

The plants were all so pretty! There were quite a few pretty flowers that Pumpkin stopped to look at, and she happily hopped over and onto tree roots. There was a thick one that Pumpkin made her way along, holding her arms out for balance. When she didn’t fall, she flashed Bandit a smile, who rolled her eyes but smiled along.

They came to a stream with cool, flowing water. Pumpkin crouched down to place her paws in the water before she stood up. She readied herself, then jumped over the stream. She wobbled a bit on the other side, nearly falling in before she righted herself.

“Don’t fall,” Bandit warned as she stepped over the stream.

“I didn’t,” Pumpkin said, sticking her tongue out at Bandit. “C’mon! There’s still so much more to explore, let’s go!”

Pumpkin set off running into the forest. Bandit followed once more. Pumpkin turned to look at Bandit, not paying attention to where she was going. She felt her paw catch on something, and a moment later she was lying on the ground.

Pumpkin sat up, only to get picked up by huge paws. Pumpkin looked up at Bandit as Bandit floated into the air. She floated along, carrying Pumpkin in her arms. Pumpkin tried to get out, but Bandit wouldn’t let go.

“Bandit!” Pumpkin protested. “I can walk myself! It didn’t even hurt.” Bandit didn’t let go. “I didn’t get hurt, I’m fine!”

Pumpkin continued to protest that Bandit put her down (she wasn’t hurt!) before she realized that Bandit wouldn’t put her down. She rolled her eyes, then snuggled into Bandit’s arms, appreciating the bigger cat.

Pumpkin felt Bandit’s chest move as she chuckled. Pumpkin looked up at the large cat, only to get a kiss to her face. Pumpkin felt her face heat up as Bandit continued to kiss her face, which made her very much flustered.
