The soft gentle breeze swept through the white and pink fur of a peaceful kiamara. The kiamara stared at the mountainous range in Lilika overlook, a village that lives in the mountains. The view was breathtaking, yet a bit daunting as something was haunting them at night. Lynara Roseshine, a Solarian born Mara, lived in the Lilik mountains. She tended a berry garden that offered a sweet treat to the villages and some good coin to others who venture to her little place.

Something had been stealing her berries and leaving nothing in sight except for green shrubs and plants.

She had decided to stay up at night waiting for the thief until something stirred in the bushes. It was a lonesome kiamara, she yelled out "what are you doing?"

The brown starry kiamara looked up from the shadowy bushes, with round scared eyes.

"Jeremy? Is that you?" Lynara asked accusingly. Blood boiled in her veins, how could a Mara be so selfish? She struggled with the anger that was going to consume her. When she saw the look on the poor maras face, she tried to keep it under her fur, perhaps he had a good reason?

The scared kiamara stood up, fear trembling making them shake. "Y..yes." he managed to speak out.

Lynara Roseshine softened her voice upon looking at the terrified mara. "Hey, look. I know you Jeremy, you don't have to be afraid to speak to me."

He nodded and tried again, "I've been stealing the berries at night because I thought I'd make an offering to the calamity so it'd go away. Please don't tell anyone, I'll be in big trouble."

Lynara heaved a great sigh, "Jeremy, I understand that you're scared about the calamity but making offerings of good fruit that 'Maras and others can eat, isn't the way to go about it. Maybe you can come at the end of the day and take what's leftover."

Day was beginning to rise in the mountains, soft rays of light aluminised the garden and their surroundings.

"Thank you. May I help you collect some of the berries for today?" He shyly asked.

Synara nodded approvingly, and they both got to work. She believed he had good intentions, the calamity was pretty scary but it hasn't done anything yet.

She was picking a berry from a nearby bush when she found something unexpected... a feather?

What for? She thought to herself, she thought about the night's event. She had stayed up all night to make sure her crops were safe for the village and when she found the culprit, she didn't let anger overwhelm her. She used kindness and understanding instead. While she may not be battling monsters or going on grand adventures, her greatest might is her heart. She always follows her heart even if it means staying up all night or not resorting to anger no matter how hard it is to contain.Â
