It is just another evening like always and Screks… I mean, Doctor Screks is making the last tweaks on his proudest work so far, a fully functional horseback for a centaur hybrid acquaintance that had lost all his horse-like bits to an accident long ago, said part commissioned by a particular human that the Doctor himself had taken a liking to. When, suddenly, all the lights of his messy lab go out at once, with a machine-like log off sound and an electrical creak.

…What the hell… - he whispers to himself, the electricity of his lab going down is not something that happens…at all, since it is connected to an endless magical network that the Doctor himself arranged... something is not right. - Katsu!! What did you do this time?!? - Screks shouts, hearing some fast footsteps getting closer as an answer.

A man with long red galaxy-like glowing hair made into a long floating braid appears at his doorway, a shaky bandaged-up hand holding the door frame, his breathing slightly unsteady and his shaky eyes focused on the Scientist that gets up immediately.

W hide and don’t come out until I say so. - the Doctor messages his assistant, as he understands that something bad is happening, or is going to happen.

At that moment a crash echoes through the Lab, both look in the direction of the sound, and after trading worried looks they go in its direction to see that someone… no… someTHING had entered the lab, uninvited.

Strider…

Both mumble to themselves as a tall white-haired figure enters the room, light flickering with each of its steps in Screks direction.

hElLo doCtOr. - a glitchy robotic voice comes from the figure that stands over Screks menacingly, the lights flickers once again showing the body of what was once a mere Human, but now is a freakish creature that's more machine than organic and has so many body modifications and implants that's impossible to tell what he once could have been.

Katsu takes a step back, his body reacting to the immense robotic creature that is standing in front of them, but Screks takes a deep breath and a steps up, facing the figure.

… I think I was pretty clear in our last encounter that I did NOT want to see you EVER again. - the smaller hybrid claims, his robotic eye glowing in the dark as his organic one shakes slightly, together with the rest of his still mostly organic parts.

wElL, ThaT SeEmS LikE SOmEThINg YoU AgReeD bY YourSelF nO? i Don’T ReCall eVer aGReeINg wiTh SucH tHinG. - the creature disputes, his face getting closer and closer to the Doctors as he speaks in a sinister tone.

…Leave… - Screks declares, not backing down, not because the figure didn't provoke any fear in him, but because he knew that could be worse.

aNd What iF I Don’T…? - the robotic creature responds in a threatening glitchy voice.

…He told you to leave, Strider, we don’t want any problems so just back off. - the red-haired, steps up seeing as Screks was about to step back, hiding his fear as much as he can and putting his hand on the Doctor's shoulder, reassuringly.

nO, I dON’t ThINK ThAt WIlL Be PoSSiblE, I hAvE a… wORk jUsT fOR yOU, mY OlD fRienD. - the cyborgish creature announces.

I’m not taking part in any more of your experiments, I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. Get. Lost. Freak. - Screks declares, standing his ground.

nO… I dONt ThINk I WilL…

A robotic spiked spear-like tail comes from behind the tall creature in Screks direction at lighting speed, firstly crashing into a robotic arm that sprouts from the Doctor’s back as a, failed, attempt to stop the arpon-tail that destroys the robotic hand as it was nothing, striking a force-field like shield that surrounds Screks body, that also fails to stop the attack, shattering and leaving the Doctors body unprotected making so the robotic arpon-like tail finally hits Screks torso, close to his left shoulder, trespassing it with brute force, sending the Doctor flying towards the wall behind him, his body being caught by Katsu on the last second, that jumps behind Screks to ease his fall, both still going against the wall that cracks with the impacts strength.

The red-haired seems to not the affected by the impact but the smaller one in his arms groans in pain as the creature retrieves his arpon-like tail from the Doctors body, leaving a trail of dark red blood behind and making Screks cough up that same substance.

Cael! - Katsu shouts in worry as the horned one body in his arms starts shaking and dark-purple veins start sprouting from where he was hit, making both realize that the attack was more than physical as the Doctor starts moaning in pain while holding his left shoulder.

Seeing the Doctor in pain was Katsu's last straw, as he carefully puts Screks body to the side against the cracked wall, his eyes glowing in a galaxy-like red as black markings appear all around his body and a furious expression grows on his face.

…Now you’ve gone too far. - the red-haired raises his fists which are instantly engulfed by dark flames as he takes a fighting stance, said flames rapidly spreading through his body making a dark aura completely involve him.

oH? dId I maKE tHe DocTOrS LiTTle PaRtNer aNGrY? hOW cU-

The creature is interrupted by a light-speed strike from Katsu that charges against it, delivering a punch that goes in the cyborgish-thing direction with a dragon-like figure being drawn in the flames path and colliding against the monster, sending a whole chunk from his abdomen flying back with enormous force, creating a visible whole on the creatures torso, black blood sprouting from it, but the monster seems unsurprised, not moving an itch, even with a good chunk from it missing.

nOt BaD… WeLl I GueSs wE cAn LeAvE ThE TalK hErE foR TodAY. - the big figure throws a chip-like object in the bleeding Doctor's general direction as it starts back off, going the opposite way. - fArEwElL, FoR noW. - it says, as it teleports away in an instant, leaving a trail of black blood behind.

Quickly after Katsu runs back to Screks, that is still groaning in pain, but now looking at the small object Strider left behind, the markings on the red-haired man disappear alongside his flames as he gets closer to his hurt companion's body that's laying against the wall where he left him.

…Are you ok? - Katsu asks, with a soft worried voice as he gets down next to Screks.

…Do I seem- ugh- - Screks is interrupted by a wave of pain as the purple veins start spreading further through his abdomen, making a slight unwanted chuckle come out of his mouth as his vision starts to blur.

Katsu carefully puts his hands over Screks robotic one, that was pressuring his wound, white flames sprouting from the magical one's palm and involving it. The Doctor’s robotic arm falls alongside his body as the cut near his left shoulder beings to close, the white flame doing its job, he takes a deep breath, the poison still making him feel sick, and the fingers of his robotic hand start moving as if he is typing as high speed and a small holographic panel appears in front of it.

…T057 uh… that's a hell of a poison, no wonder it affected me like that, it's an anti-vampire one… heh… how specific. - Screks reveals with a slight grin, looking at the small holographic panel as his right robotic hand types non-stop.

…You do have an antidote for that, right…? - Katsu guesses, a slight worry in his voice, still focused on keeping the wound stable while the Doctor does his research.

Who do you think I am, of course I do. - Screks replies with slight annoyance, as he stops typing and puts his hand behind his back taking out a syringe with a bluish liquid inside that he stabs his neck with, making so the purple veins slowly but surely start to disappear.

Thank the Guardians. - Katsu sighs in relief, letting his forehead fall on the Doctors shoulder, that doesn’t deny it, his long red braid circling the Doctor’s body in a gesture of worry.

There, there. I’m ok see? Nothing to worry about. I’m gonna be fine, I’ve been through way worse and you know it. - Screks affirms, patting Katsu’s back with his robotic arm.

Katsu lifts his head from Screks shoulder still looking at his, now closed, wound for a moment, before delicately grasping the Doctor’s organic hand with his own, letting go after some seconds of silence from both ends.

W, you can come out now. - Screks messages his assistant.

Not long after a purple-skinned figure appears from one of the rooms, with a worried expression on her face.

W-what happened here? - she asks, confused.

An old acquaintance of out came to… pay the Doctor a visit. - Katsu explains, getting up and raising his hand to help Screks up as well, which the hurt one takes.

Well, I guess it’s time for the lab to find a new place to settle in. - the Doctor announces, as he grabs the small chip-like object that the robotic creature had left behind, turning it on his hand to see the word “Paradise” engraved on it.
