Freya's obsidian hues caught a glimpse of scars that littered Jasper's forearms past the rolled up sleeves which had elicited a soft gasp to fall from her merlot tinted lips. The noise captured the blondes attention, golden eyes flickering over to her in interest, worry swirling around his soft gaze.

Spending time with the Cullen's was always a unique experience, Freya had noticed. Prepping for battle against an army of newborn vampires with the help of the wolves was something she hadn't expected but having seen Jasper in action made her heart swell in anticipation.

"What's wrong, darling?" The nickname was all but purred out as he shifted his body towards her, giving her his full attention while brows knitted together in concern. "Are you alright?" Gingerly his palm touched her upper arm, allowing the raven haired woman to get a better look at his arms as deft palms smoothed over her supple flesh.

Bite marks.

Slim manicured fingers ghosted across the scars, taking a mental note of how no one mark was identical to the others. Freya's own brows knitted together as a frown tugged at her lips, attempting not to let the tears fall from her eyes. A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips, honeyed hues sparkling with slight mirth.

"Battle scars," He started, his thumb running across her pulse on her wrist to feel her heart skip a beat under the pad. "Would you like to hear the tale, I take it?" Jasper let out a hum, free hand extending up to tuck a loose strand of hair behind her earlobe.

The story Jasper proceeded to spin was one of betrayal and death, churning an unsettling feeling deep down in Freya's gut, eyes stinging with unshed tears which dotted her waterline. She couldn't fathom the anguish and pain he must have gone through, and all because of love.

Words needn't be said, the onyx haired woman wrapped her arms around his middle to bury her face in his firm chest. A silent sob wracked her body as lithe fingertips curled into the fabric of his hoodie, cheeks flushed rouge as doe eyes fluttered up at him.

"I'm so sorry, Jasper," Her words were hiccuped out as delicate palms cupped his cheeks to draw him towards her to silence him with a kiss, noses bumping against one another. "You deserve to be loved like I love you."
