Accusations

As sal read the note, he thought back earlier in the day. It was hard to concentrate when his critter companions were playing and running amok, he had picked up a few stowaways on his journey. He had found C0-C0 hidden amongst the ships storage crates, then he found a strange creature called Omelet hiding behind a gravestone and then he found a golden creature called Anzu that was just chilling on the coastline. He also found a Snekolotl mimicking Anzu, just sitting beside him not having a care in the world. The Snekolotl mimic name is Algae, named for being green like algae. He watched his critter friends for a bit, Turbo roller-skating on fallen tombstones while Captain French Fry copies him. Omelet and C0-C0 were watching them, and waving to Jackdaw, Sal and Careful, trying to get their attention. Anzu was snoring away, seemingly bored with the lack of action, mimicked by Algae. 

When he first arrived to blightfall he had found another strange bird whistle, planted ontop of a tombstone. He blew it and a sound mimicking a Corakeet occurred once again. 

He reread the note so many times, it felt like eons had passed. He thought about Sal, yeah he priotized himself but who doesn't? You gotta look after yourself even if you take everything. He has his secrets but he hasn't led Mal afar yet. He trusts him. Mal thinks that Sal would give answers but would try to defend himself to get the heat off him. He's always being accused of things, so it'd make sense as to why he'd react that way.

He thought about Careful, the strange 'Mara who has recently joined the crew. He might be here to spy for coin, but wouldn't stealing the jewels be better payment? Mal thinks he wouldn't care if he read the note, maybe a raise of the eyebrow and be nonchalant about it. He doesn't seem to care that much if it's not interesting, only from that small suspicious interaction they had. He doesn't know much about Careful. 

Then he thought about Jackdaw, surely he would have the most resentment against Sal. Surely that'd be a reason to betray him. He thought about the first letter, it does seem to link up together. Surely, Jackdaw must be the spy. It'd make sense if he was left out and he was in on the theft of the royal jewels. It all connects, there's a motive and there's history with him and Sal. Maybe that's why Sal hadn't mentioned him until their journey to blightfall. He doesn't know what Jackdaw would think if he showed him this letter. He straightened up his cream and brown pirate uniform and led the way straight to Jackdaw. Perhaps Jackdaw would be sly about it or give an insight to his relationship with Sal to try to be innocent in all of this commotion. There's only one way to find out, he handed jackdaw the letter.
