Wife 1

Etzio has Juan with his first wife, Juan dies in a car accident when he is a toddler (around 3?) when a drunk driver runs a red light and t-bones the pair. Etzio was left with severe injuries that would leave him with a lasting limp and chronic back pain. Overcome by grief Etzio holes himself away in the house and work. His wife, realising she has lost both her son and her husband, files for divorce and leaves. The stress of work, the torment of his coworker, and the grief caused by losing his family causes him to have a psychotic break and he commits murder in the lab. He brings the corpse home, unsure as to what to do with it. He realises there is more meat than he is able to handle and butchers the body in his basement, cutting the meat into different forms resembling venison. The bones are cut to size as well. Any bones that are unable to be formed, such as the skull, are burnt in the fireplace. Realising that he needs an excuse as to where the meat was obtained should anyone discover his fully stocked freezer, he sets out on a hunting trip to Alaska to go moose (or bear) hunting. When he returns in a week's time, he claims to have shot a large moose/bear. This is backed up by the photos he has taken, for in fact he did bag an animal. The meat was not taken home with him as he says it was, instead it was donated to sled dog kennels where it was quickly devoured by the inhabitants. When he returns he continues with life as normal, seeing his therapist, going to work, slowly consuming the meat of his fallen comrade. Things take a turn however when the police show up at his doorstep investigating the murder of his coworker. Etzio is a well respected member of the community at this point, having always been kind and helpful. They don't suspect him, but must check him as is routine. He invites them inside for dinner where he feeds them the dead lion and discuss the case over dinner. They comment on how the meat tastes like something they haven't had before, but Etzio quickly regales stories of his hunting trip, even showing them pictures as evidence. Etzio becomes nervous about their inquiries even after they leave, becoming paranoid and believing that they may be onto something. He invites over his therapist for dinner, as he has begun to see them as something more than just a client therapist relationship, and for this he was right to see as the therapist was quite smitten with him as well. The therapist remarks, same as the officers, how the meal was tasting strange. Etzio tries to brush it off once more claiming that he had just gotten back from a hunting trip, but the therapist
