[Warpatober Day 12] Cursed

Mizuiro Lune is sure that he is cursed. 

How can he not be?

His father almost never has time for him…

15-year-old Mizuiro Lune currently sits in his class, which is void of anyone else except for his homeroom teacher. Today is one of those parent-teacher meeting things, Mizuiro isn’t sure, he never really pays any attention to these things. Either way, it’s that kind of day today, and by the time lunch had passed, all the other students in his class had left with their respective parents. This wasn’t something new for him. It’s happened many times before, ever since he was little. 

Aozora will never ever come to one of these things.

Mizuiro understands some parts of why he doesn’t, though. For someone with a reputation like his, well, it can be quite intimidating for him to show up at an educational establishment, even though there are some students who also have parents who are courtesans. They live in the Lust region after all - sexual acts are not a taboo in this place. Unfortunately, his father is surrounded by rumours -  rumours that naturally come together with being one of the Lust region’s top courtesans. The fact that he’s never come to any of these events is probably better for Mizuiro anyway, his reputation has already been ‘stained’ enough by being Aozora Lune’s son.

Time ticks by, and Mizuiro was ready to be told by the teacher to just leave, when a familiar but unexpected voice graces his ears. 

“Sorry I’m late!”

His older sister suddenly bounces into the classroom, dressed up all proper and adult-like.

“Sorry teach!” she greets his homeroom teacher, rushing off towards her right away. “I’m Umi’iro Lune, Mizuiro’s older sister! I’m finally officially an adult now, so I’ll take over matters that require our father’s presence for him! Please take care of me!”

She bows down in the typical Japanese fashion after that, and soon enough she’s settled down in a discussion with the teacher about Mizuiro and his educational performance…

In fact, his whole family is.

That is why they are all stuck in this limbo filled with the pain of heartbreak and abandonment. 

With the presence of his sister today though, it made Mizuiro believe that there might be a way out of this curse one day…
