I am kicking a ball about in the field, today is a boring day and there is absolutely nothing to do. Almost all the others are out, going to a museum or something. There is no one for me to play with.

"Hello, youngling," a voice behind me suddenly says. I whip around, seeing a floating elgyem, Trench. "What are you doing on this day?" he questioned

"Not much, how 'bout you?" I asked to be polite, still kicking the ball a bit.

"I am wondering about how to do your sports game,"

"You mean volleyball?"

"Yes, that," he shifted.

I explained it to him. He nodded interested.

"Yes, but what is the point of the game?" he asked. I did not really have an answer so I shrugged.

"I dunno, I guess for me it is to have fun and the companionship of your teammates, and the thrill of the win. Some people do it for money or fame, but I just want to have a good time; if those come along with it I would not mind it; the ranch could always use some extra money for repairs and stuff," I said more than I thought I would.

"I see; I do not think the sports game is for me; I do not need money or companionship or fame,"

"What about fun?"

"I prefer my current activity of learning about this strange new world,"

"Where are you from," I did not actually know; he just kind of showed up one day," he looked a bit nervous before answering.

"Humansville, a very human and earthly place, with people and pokemon and landmarks,"

"That sounds fake,"

"Well, it is not,"

"What kind of landmarks are there," he shifted

"There are stores and houses,"

"Right," I replied, rolling my eyes.
