Somewhere along the skirts of Aclestus is their international university, granted for a future of the young leaders of tomorrow. The campus is very nice for the current era, students were learning and enjoying the college life, but the trip there was terrible. "Just... darn... terrible." as Nora written in her journal for a new day in her current semester. Exhausted from her training at the Police Academy from yesterday, she slowly flaps her raven like wings as a few feathers start to fall from fatigue. She just started her college classes just so long ago, but with the combination of her police training is draining her out. "Ugh, hopefully class will be slow today.. I'm already tired of math." Nora pulls back up her backpack and straightens up her police uniform for the day, knowing that she will continue the semester as it is. "Oh, I could dream for some sleep. Man, now I'm regretting being cursed.." Looking at the campus map, she makes her plan for after class to grab some simple lunch as she flies off to the coffee shop before her mathematic pre-calculus class. She opens the door and grabs a cup at the counter with her spare libbles on her. "it's not the same, but it will have to do." She sits down at the edge of the window, looking out as she sips her black brew as she have about 15 minutes to spare before the bell rings.

Next to where Nora sat, a owl gray chi sat at the neighboring table, drinking what had to be the 6th cup of coffee in a hour. He had a fatigued look on his face that suggested he has been awake for more then a few days and was only awake thanks to a unhealthy river of caffeine being pumped through his veins. He seemed to be working on homework for what appeared to be a mountain of classes for more then a few degrees and fields of study. For the present time however he seemed to be working on math homework... and judging from the look on his face, he was breezing through all of it like it was nothing. As he finished the present batch of questions, he chuckled "And the fellow chi think this is hard? Ha... Hard only to the dim mind."

As she finishes her cup and readies to throw the cup in the recycling bin, she glances at the sleep-deprived Chi beside her, glancing at the name on the cup that have already ridden the contents of. She soon glances at the bin, with several coffee cups with the same name written as well. She looks back at him, examining his symptoms as if she was in her police academic course. Clearly he showed signs of his loss of sleep, and scarily with her vampire abilities, she can detect his irregular heartbeat and blood flow.. it's not good. With that many cups within the hour, he could possibly go into a crash and have a heart attack.. She throws her cup in the bin and lightly taps him on the shoulder. "Heh, excuse me sir, are you okay? You really don't look so good.." as she exclaims to him while viewing the amount of homework he has done while at the table.

The academic would stall for a moment, staring at his notes as he stared over the equations on his paper with bloodshot eyes. Eventually though he would snap out of it and looked the way of the law enforcer in training with coffee high fueled smile "Oh yes. I'm fine. I'm perfectly fine~. Well..." He then took up a disgruntled look suddenly "Minus the fact that my work is being slown down. You see, I gotta' do all of this work by the next class periods they are due!" He then pointed to a pile of homework assignments that... were issued just that day. And judging from the notes on the very first one, they were not really due THAT soon... if anything, it looked far more like he was exaggerating the due date significantly. Still, one could feel the sensation that he was trying WAY TOO HARD to make sure it was expertly done to prove he was better then everyone else. But... there's no denying that this guy's determination and focused mind was fueled only by a excessive caffeine injection.

The officer holds up the first set of questions to read, realizing that they look very similar and possibly that they both have the same professor for that class. She glances at the rest, and notices the due dates for them, some due in a couple of hours, others due in a few days. Glancing right back at the bookworm, she sets his notes back down, "well, don't strain yourself. And watch out with what you drink in the morning, too much coffee isn't going to help much." Nora sets down a small fresh bottle of water on the table, clearly advising him to refresh. She scans the shop for the clock, with seven minutes left till 08:10. "Now you have like 7 minutes until the bell rings. You might want to hurry.." She grabs her bag and walks out the door with her keys and uni IDs jingling off her strap.

She doesn't have far to go till her uni class for math, so she strolls alongside the sidewalk tucking her wings, soon making way through the classroom door of nearly fifty Chis seated, making it right on time as the bell rings when she sits down. The professor isn't currently in the classroom oddly, so the students are just talking about and so while she studies over her logarithmic notes as they all wait.

It was entirely clear what the bookworm did after she left. He looked the way of the water bottle before downing it all in a single gulp and working on another homework assignment...

So it was a mystery how when Nora got to the classroom... right... bloody... THERE... beside her was Cato. How on earth did he get there?! That was a mystery few knew the answer to... for now anyway.

For the duration however, the bookworm dismissed the law enforcer, initially tapping his finger on the table before him... then working on another assignment... and quickly after cleaning that up he resumed tapping his pencil on the table.... Clearly, his patience was wearing thin. Before long, he looked the way of the door and complained "The bloody professor was meant to be here long ago! Where is he?!"

After she has settled a few minutes, she is distraught from the fact that Cato was right beside her and she didn't even seen him come in.. "... how in Chigon did you get here so fast??" She thinks about it, but then dismisses it when his patience punches the desk and displays her inability to wait. Restlessness is also a side effect from too much coffee, it has only been about 5 minutes. She glances back to his papers to catch his name again. "Um... Cato, you need to wait. Maybe he had some busi-" she is cut off from a scream in the hallway, followed by the professor walking through the door, clearly stressed from his look alone, covered in paint and has a wet spot on his pants.

He has been sabotaged on his way to the campus and has spilt his hot coffee. He sits down on his desk and slowly puts his bag down. "... I'll be back... darn students tried to cover me in paint for Spirit Week.." He clutches his leg in pain from the coffee burn, "please, take out your homework and place it on the table..." He hops over to the bathroom to fix himself, and the students start placing their work on the table, some not. Nora just floats hers down in the shape of a paper airplane and leans back. "looks like someone's sour for Spirit Week."

"I'm on a schedule." He would simply reply as he was questioned about how he got there so fast. He simply continued his restless act before jumping up in surprise as the scream arrose. He then watched as the professor walked in in his messy state, clearly having gone from professional to a Chigon's worst art school dropout in 2 seconds.

After the professor made his excuse and hopped away to get a change of clothes and wash the paint off... Cato found himself boiling with anger, and suddenly he yelled out "OPALLLLLL!!!"

Meanwhile... Opal and about 20 of the students were outside, dead above the doorway with various buckets of paint on their person and many more stockpiled behind them. They laughed for a few moments after managing to nail the professor with the paintfall before they all high fived one another.

"Hey Opal, thanks for giving us the paint for Spirit Week!" One of the larger chi emitted after trading brofists with the Traceur.

"Don't mention it!" The Cursed Child simply laughed before dusting herself off and high fiving another student before 3 others dumped paint on another unsuspecting professor "Just glad I can be of help here!... Though uhhh heheh..." She then scratched her head for a moment "We may have to bail out soon before someone rushes up here and swats us away. Heheh..."

Back to Cato... He huffed with anger for a few more moments, before just placing his homework in his bubble and lets it do the work of delivery for him, dropping the paper off before returning to his side while he started work on the other homework assignments... which was really only one or two more left. "Why is she even here, why is she even here, she does not even study here! She's too stupid to even make it if she wanted to..."

Experiencing Cato making an outbreak at what she assumes to be a crystal Chi named Opal along with about two dozens students pouring paint on another professor kicked in a possibly good scenario to enforce the law. "I'll be right back." She swoops from the seat down to the doorway, viewing the mess and the other students along with Opal in front. "Hey, no disturbing the peace. We're trying to have class-" she is cut off by another student's attempt to dump paint on her, and soon they disappeared before she moved out of the way to look up. She's a little heated, and shoos the other students away and closes the door. Turning inside is a tall heterchromic Chi in her seat making a bunch of charade hand motions which is virtually their way of communication. They seem chill, as they pull a peace sign to Nora, and she automatically recognizes them.

"Jamal, you should be at band practice!" But the Chi called that so name charades themselves to say an obvious no, then they make some random other gestures, but no other Chi could understand.. but she deciphered it easily. "Jamal, first of all, we are not in a relationship, second, yes I'll go to the homecoming show with you... and third, get out of my seat." Jamal shakes a no, and reclines in the chair, pointing some finger guns at her. Nora just sighs and takes the next seat beside them.

The students atop the rooftop continued to exercise their ability to effectively paint anyone who walked in with the spirit colors of the campus. Most were selective of the professors who failed to notice the paint trap and walk around, but one or two were, against protests, still dumping on random students. The Cursed Child would finish dusting herself off and ask the others if they were fine by themselves. "You guys fine all by yourselves now?"

They all replied in unison that they would be okay, and the Traceur nodded and jumped down.... just in time to suddenly get a splash of paint all over her herself, followed by the laughs above her. Though rather then a scream, she remained silent, and simply wiped her eyes so she could see again and laughed. "Guess that's what I get for helping start all this. Heh..." She then looked inside briefly as she started to shake the thankfully not very sticky paint off, wishing she was able to head inside without a issue.

Back to Cato, he groaned as he listened to the conversation beside him and growled "You have some serious nerve going over and taking other people's seat like that, buster..." He prepared to bark more at him, the comment clearly about to be nasty... though he bit his tongue, deciding he has better things to do, and he resumes work... and quickly, he was done with the last of his homework. He double checked everything in his folder of work to be sure it was correct before he put it back in his bag, leaving only whatever he needed for his class on the table in front of him as he resumed that tapping of his finger on the desk, as though he was attempting to somehow accelerate time by synchronizing every passing second with his tapping.

Jamal notices Cato's mumbled insult, but they simply shrugs it off. Seats don't really matter to them, it's just a chair and there's plenty of space around for someone to move. They pull out a pair of marching snare drum sticks and out of boredom, they strike the desk in front of them with the beat of Cato's impatient tapping, making a sick beat in the process. A few students join along behind them using a notebook or other items they got out to kill the time passing, making it hype in the back of the room. Nora is just peaking back to see the classroom boogie to what they got and doesn't bother them since it's not hurting anything or anyone. She slightly feels the groove by bopping her head, but stops once she hears a doorknob turns.

Mid way into Jamal's tapping comes in the professor, sorta straightened up with backup clothes on, and with his presence, Jamal and everyone else seize their ruckus immediately and heads back to their seats. He notices Jamal first to give a mean glare for his supposed paint job, and pulls out his lesson plans. Jamal only shrugs it off and sticks out their tongue while the professor preps. Grabbing the chalk on the sidebar of the chalkboard, he starts the lesson of advanced trigonometry, which instantly bores Jamal's attention span and makes him walk out of the lesson, walking backwards and pointing finger guns at Nora, letting Nora claim her seat back. Nora just rolls her eyes and scoots back over to her backpack, pulling back out her voice recorder to record the lesson in case if she misses anything, well most likely all of it, since she lays her head down for a bit from being slightly sleep deprived in her way, hearing only the haunting constant beating of everyone's hearts around her. She shivers during her tiny amount of rest, trying to shake it off while barely listening to the lecture.

Cato has the moment of being "That guy." Again... as the tapping turning into song irritated him to the core for it's duration. He didn't seem super keen on having that song playing. However, it was thankfully shut down by the door opening. However, he could tell just from the expression on the Professor's face who was directly responsible for the paint dump on him earlier, and not just his sister. He lets out a groan and glares at Jamal for causing the delay before dusting himself off and getting his pencil out ready to start taking notes. Mercifully the lesson made Jamal leave, earning a sigh of relief as Nora returned to her seat.

It would appear however he was obsessed with learning every inch of it however, as despite looking like he was going to pass out any minute, he was documenting every single word the professor said. He was gonna get every bit of this lesson and ace it even if it kills him! And there was almost nothing that was going to stop him!

... Almost.

Not even five minutes has passed since the lesson starts, and Nora just gave up on her nap, the heartbeats were just too loud. She needed to pass the class anyways so she can graduate her police academy. She tries to write something down, but it turns out very sloppy to the point where it doesn't even look like it's Chio. Chio was already hard enough to write, and looking over at Cato nearly tearing his paper from his determination to record every bit of sound that the professor makes is astonishing. "I'm surprised he hasn't broken his pencil yet.." Just minutes of lazy writing turns into a half hour, then nearly a whole hour, and the class is moaning from the extended time that the professor had installed for his clothes change…

Eventually however... even Cato himself starts to groan in annoyance at the duration. but more importantly, he was starting to drift back and forth from a state of being awake and the limbo between that and asleep. He ends up missing a little bit of notes as a result, but he is quick to shake his head and get back on track as he muttered "Should have gotten a stronger cup..." before exploiting the fact that the professor conveniently broke his own chalk to sharpen his pencil before continuing. Though during this additional delay, he also began to tap his pencil again. He had fatigued himself to the point that he forgot that this would be the final class for the day and was stressing about being late for a non-existent class. "When is he going to get finished... the next class likely has started by now... ugh..." He then resumed writing once the professor started to resume himself.

Outside, due to the college starting to close down, nobody was around to stop Opal, who was now for the most part clean save for her right arm still being colored green, from walking down the hallways. She approached the door to the classroom and tried the door, failing to realize the class was still in session due to a extension, and found the door was locked from the other side. She emitted a groan and leaned against the wall, waiting for the window where she can get in.

It was only so long till the bell rings, and Nora meanly stares at the clock, moving its second hand slowly till it was about the circle. She stares menacingly hard till it turns, so hard to see the burning little floaters in her eyes whenever someone stares for too long. Fortunately, as the professor finishes his last word of his lecture, the bell goes "brrrrring!" and the nearest kid to the door slams it open to leave, and the rest of the class starts flooding out as well before the professor could explain their what would be homework. Not even bothered, he packs up too, and Nora stays until everyone is safely out of the room so she can make sure that the building is secure. "Hurry up, I gotta go to this... darn homecoming whatever event." She sighs as everyone leaves while she takes out her journal and crosses off the things she has accomplished today.

The first sign of Opal being there in a place where she was not meant to be was when the door does not open all the way despite the slam, due to Opal seeing it coming and holding her crystal arm out to take the impact of the blow so she didn't get flattened by a horde of bub-chi rushing out the door. She did slowly open the door as she scooted out of it's way, but she didn't leave her position otherwise. She simply waited there.

Meanwhile, Cato prepared to protest about the lack of homework, but by that point, too many people were leaving and the professor did not look ready to put up with anything else, and he was "late" for his next class, so he simply packed up and started to bolt out the door as well the second a window emerged and his back was packed. Only for him to be suddenly pulled aside by his sister.

"Staying up for days on end in the bloody campus, Cato?" The Cursed Child simply uttered as she had him by a vice grip looking dead at him in the eyes "You've been here for over a week just studying and attending classes..." She then looked into Cato's eyes and felt his pulse on his arm "...And is that a rush of caffeine I detect? You're going to kill yourself one of these days."

Once the crowd cleared out, Nora came back in the hallway to make sure all of the doors are secured and closed, but only to find Opal gripping Cato on the wall. She heard just a small gimmick of their conversation of the coffee and whoever was named "Uncle Caput," she wasn't very knowledgeable of the Z'amma Colony since she never goes there, let alone would be able to survive the harsh way to discover its terrain and interior. She breaks the tension and has the worst nerve to just ask, "Hey, no bullying in the halls. You two should know bet- hey, you're that darn paint spiller from earlier...." She suspiciously looks at the both of them, they don't even look alike.. but she assumes again and considers the info given while putting away the journal from earlier. "So um... not to be nosey, but are you two.. like related or something? Partners? Family?" she questions as she frantically pulls on a loose thread on her uniform.

Opal is simply quick to reply to Nora by stating "Not bullying. He's just a stubborn one and he's excessively late." before shaking her head "In a way, yes. Adoptive bother and sister."

"Does it matter?" Cato attempted to struggle a bit more "Let me go! I need to get to my next class!"

"You don't have a next class." She corrected "You were suppose to have come home by around this time, but you keep going over and studying and gluing yourself to the coffee shop without a hint of rest. And Dad and Uncle Caput are worried about you."

"What are you talking about?! I still got... class." Cato then looked up at the nearby clock to see that it was closing time for the entire campus and the sun was starting to set. "...Oh... I see now..." He then glared back to Opal "Fine, I"ll come home, will you let me go?"

"On the condition that you don't walk right for the coffee shop and not get a wink of sleep?" Opal made as her demand "If you're not home soon and I have to come back up here... I promise you, I don't care if you are in the middle of class next time, I'll drag you home and chain you to the bed until you get some rest. No sane chi regularly goes for more than a week without rest."

"Fineeee..." Cato just sighed as Opal let go of his arm. "I'll go straight home..." He then paused for a moment "...But what about homecomin--"

"Don't." The Traceur raised a finger "Even think about it. I know you don't go to those. And I"m not up for excuses for why you should stay here."

Opal's brother pouted for a few moments as he looked her way in silence at that shut down attempt to delay.

Nora glances right at Cato, and goes through a small zone out of mixed feelings when Opal just mentions about he hasn't visited his family all week.. and she shakes for a moment before retaining her cool, "Cato, really? You need to go home dude. At least you have a family to go to.." She takes a moment to recollect what she said, and turns around to secure their math professor's door. She peaks right back at the time, noticing that she has already missed the initial start for the homecoming show, and only a few hours till the big paintball tournament. She thinks of the horrifying reaction that Jamal will give her since she missed his scene, "He'll be so mad at me.." and back to reality, when Opal cuts off Cato's attempt to flee to the homecoming. She know she's gonna regret it but... "Hey, if he really wants to come, I'll keep an eye on him." Grabbing her bag and putting it into her bubble, she shines her badge and squints, "A VERY, good eye on him."

An audible growl can be heard somewhere in the hall and it echos... she gets nervous. "... this is embarrassing. I might go grab a bite to eat before I go to the stadium.." She refrains from asking them out to possibly go and eat somewhere together. Besides, the opposing teams at the tournament might fill the eateries when they get here.

The Owl Gray Chi thought for a moment as Nora offered to keep a eye on him throughout homecoming. Though Opal was quick to put her crystal hand on his shoulder to stop him "Sorry dude, but you seriously need to get home, and I know the second her back is turned, you're going to be in the librar--..."

She then hears the growl of one's stomach and looks Nora's way. At first she does not suspect a thing. though the mention of 'bite' caught her ear. Briefly, she shook her head and just said "Cato, just get home." When I get there, you better be at the house or at Uncle Caput's place."

"Fineeee...." The brother let out a huff before starting to walk off. Though Opal remained.

As he walked down the hallway to get out of the building, the Cursed Child sighed and stroked her hair briefly to smooth it out. "Well now that he's headed home, did you need some help there? I'm not a student here, but I'm sure I can still help out with that appetite. I hope..."

"Aww, that's too bad. Poor dude. Then again I don't feel sorry for him, he knows better." Nora views Cato walk off outside to leave, and sees Opal in her way of what might be either a solo night or an weird night with the Traceur for her maybe. Even lowkey, she wouldn't have mind to take Cato out, maybe because she was friendless most of the time since people have great suspicion of the constant unusual behavior she exerts in class and on duty. "... I mean.. you don't really need to help me, I just wanted to maybe, I dunno, spend some time out to eat? Like, what normal Chis do? If you really want to help me, we could hang out.. or something. Before the homecoming tournament starts." She now has an "oh crap I regret saying anything" face while biting her lip. "If you don't want to, that's fine, you can catch up to your brother or something.. maybe head home before it gets too late." She gets even more embarrassed as the hallway lights start to turn off as the building is closing for the night. "Oh, I forgot we were still in here." She chuckles, exposing what appears to be something sharp, but not clearly identified... "Maybe uh, we should get out of here haha."

Opal simply stared at the other chi as Nora put her odd face on. Clearly she was socially awkward, and not very adept at talking. But Opal didn't seem to mind at all as she simply shrugged "I am good with it. I mean, in a way, I'm not normal, so I'm all good with it. I can lend a hand and such. Plus honestly I'm used to being up late and such." She then scratched the back of her head before watching as the hallway lights blacked the hallway out, though this didn't at all harm the Ca-chi's vision, as her own night vision simply resolved the problem.

She did however eye the odd sharp object, and her eyes squinted at the mouth. She hesitates for a moment, but decides she's been a reckless soul a lot in the past. This isn't the first time she's done something stupid and this won't be the last. Hopefully. She shakes her head before Nora could take note of the suspicious look before smiling her way "Yeah, let's get out of here. I may have something to share if you can't find anything to eat yourself."

"Oh good." She walks out of the building with Opal and it's dark outside, but there was no worries, since naturally Nora could see in the dark being cursed and all. The street lights were on, and the campus was much more alive than normal. Some crowds have gathered with the arrival of free range Metensian and Colradian athletes and their home squads. And there was a LOT of them as they start filing into the plaza to grab some food before the main paintball war. By that time, Nora doubts that she and Opal will be getting any food before the game starts, and even worse that her home is some time away along with nothing in her fridge. "Eh, I guess that plan is a fail."

It's only a matter of time till the tournament starts, she honestly was a little desperate. She looks at the petite Traceuse as she considers her plan from earlier. "You said you had a back up plan right? I think now is a good time.."

As Opal followed Nora out the doors and saw the events going on outside, she blinked at the excessively large crowd that was taking all of the food at the tables. She began to glare at one particular chi... who was MASSIVE to say the least. Had to be twice as big as a normal chi but less due to general height and more due to how... overweight it was. And a moment of study revealed very quickly why Opal was getting angry; on their plate was enough food to feed about six normal chi, and the guy was STILL adding to his plate. If there was someone asking for a death by a stroke or obesity, it was that guy. It honestly would not surprise Opal if he was banned from more than a few "All you can eat" buffets.

After a few moments of the distasteful glare, Opal looked back to Nora and replied "Well unless you want to go the amoral route of taking from that giant chi..." She reached into her bag and fiddled in there for a moment before drawing a bag and handing it to Nora. Inside was more then a few chunks of preserved food. Fish, berries, mushrooms, and the occasional edible herb. Opal had several more and drew one for herself, which she ate a bit out of before putting back into her bag, clearly not having a massive appetite. "Sorry it's not the most tasty. I mostly travel, so I normally carry food that keeps well and can be eaten quickly. If you think there's a better source of food, I'm up to hearing it."

Nora doesn't even notice what Opal is looking at before she glances a good shot of the obese Chi nearly eating the whole bar with the rest of the college team. She is utterly disgusted at the fact that they are just binge eating away, but what really takes the cake is when she tunes in into the conversation between them and another college Chi on some challenge to eat the whole buffet to set some record. It may not be hurting her, but how hungry she was in that same time, she debates on giving in to possibly bribe some food. It's sorta beating her officer morale, but she is the only cop around as of here while the rest is on duty at the stadium. She thinks it over while Opal displays the non-appetizing herbs and berries, it was either go hungry, lash out and drain someone on campus or do it slick while giving justice. She sighs, "Even though I shouldn't be doing this, but I can't stand to see someone eating that much. I'll see what I can do." She opens her backpack and slips on her officer hat, posing a sassy face to give her some confidence.

The buffet restaurant was packed in the sense that it almost broke the law capacity it was given. She walks along the way and she squeezes through the aisles between the window and tables and decides to actually do her job to speak with the manager first about the capacity size before confronting the obese Chi afterwards. With a short and irritating convo, she walks around the cramped table to a free spot right near the opposing team tonight and jokes a tiny complaint, "Hey big guy, make sure you save some food for me too haha! But seriously, no loitering inside, gotta keep the tables vacant and safe you know."

The chubby Chi was eating their 6th place about now, and the opposing team table turns around to the vampiric officer on duty. One Chi whispers to the short and chubby Chi who just manages to stand up without falling to break the table. He was pretty short and petite in stature with his weight hindering his grow simultaneously, and looks up at Nora in the most least interested way, "yeah? Well umm... why don't you bite someone your own size? We gonna kick Aclestus' butt tonight, so if you don't mind.." as he confronts her and attempts to sit down to finish her remark, but hindered by Nora angrily lifting him with an upper arm to see him at eye-level with such strength. She was pissed yet so tempted to bite the guy, but gives a tiny warning grin to show off the nearly inch long fangs she has in her arsenal. Scared of his wits, he was still put down to be spared. "Oh yeah, we're gonna beat y'all. Ain't that right. Now clear the way before I give you a piece of this. " She leaves the restaurant with just a small smirk and she grabs a small box of food on the buffet bar, snacking on a few fresh berries.

"See, I got this." The officer utterly destroys the box of food she had in her hand and recycles it in a favor, and the students inside are just leaving and the Azir athletes are staring at the officer despised. "I'm ready if you are." Nora retires the hat into her bubble before leaving up the way to the stadium by flight, leaving just a few stress feathers drop while gliding ahead.

Opal simply watched at the incident occurred. At first she wondered what exactly this rude chi's problem is, chewing out a law enforcer while not seeing the problem with his overeating habits. However....

...The second Nora let that side of her take over for a moment and lifted him up one handed with supernatural strength and bore her fangs, Opal suddenly had a change of attitude. Something felt WAY wrong with this picture. V-chi, lifting guy off the ground, threatening of a bite, and the sass that goes with it? She had the more cheerful expression on her face replaced by one of anger as one of the other chi backed up and said "W-What was that about? S-should I stay?"

"If you don't think you should, don't." was her simple reply to his question before she handed him her preserved food bag "Here, something to eat on your way home."

He then let out a "Thank you, thank you!" before bolting out the door as Opal looked around at the Azir athletes before following Nora, keeping up with her agility.

...But right when Nora landed, Opal grabbed her by the collar and used her own strength to pull her aside where she could talk to Nora privately, afterward pushing into a empty bathroom and closing the door behind her. Afterward she gave the Officer a disgruntled look.

"Okay, I know you are aspiring to be a enforcer for the law." She began, emitting a sigh as she spoke, with her right hand on the door after freshly closing it "And I know we all make mistakes but..." She then raised her voice at the enforcer "What the ever flipping heck was that?! V-chi I can deal with. I have to put up with one who wants my head on a plate every week because he has a grudge against me, and I have the physical strength and capability of taking one or two on in a fair fight while unarmed, and yes I have had to fight him multiple times, including when he brought a friend. Law enforcers, okay, no big deal, I can obey the law. But seeing a LAW ENFORCER IN TRAINING just walk up to a fat guy and lift him up with the implied threat of TURNING HIM INTO A SNACK?! What real cop does that?! Half the bloody place abandoned the homecoming and left out the place rather then to the stadium, and the away team is disgruntled because of that display." The Cursed Child then shook her head as she put her crystal arm to her forehead "That looked far more like the bully at a playground picking on the nerdy kid because they are too fat or silly looking for their taste."

Nora was just shocked to see the Traceur drag her down by the collar, and with what Opal said about, she.. doesn't even remember herself performing what would be her withdrawal from being starved for merely 48 hours. But she takes a moment, and drops of what was her dinner unto the restroom floor. She put a huge timer of what would jeopardize her entire career and education into 5 minutes in the buffet. The bad part, she didn't even realize until a crystal cursed Chi had to yell into her face to notice what was floating in her head. "....I-I.... I can't believe I did that.... I CAN'T BELIEVE I RUINED MYSELF!" She is filled with a sense of distruaght and turns into a sad and depressive thought, which attracts just a few Chis in the bathroom attention. "I just lifted and threatened a student and now I'm gonna lose everything! And the bad part is that I didn't even know I did it!? I haven't eaten in days Opal... I'm losing myself... All because I don't want to bite anyone... I'm... I'm becoming a monster.."

She gets desperate. But after throwing an emotional breakdown, her stomach just churns due to starvation. She starts drifting her attention aimlessly at the street before recollecting her only option to keep what was left of her. "I.. I need help Opal... I can't go out to the stadium without biting anyone.. And this is a mandatory surveillance for us.." She starts begging, "Opal. Please help me.."

As Opal watched the scene unfold before her, she thought for a fair while about it. Though she is quick to notice that the other chi in the bathroom were creating a unwanted audience, and she was just a quick to think of a way to shoo them out "Excuse us, are you using the place? If not, could you guys like... not?" She then quickly thought of a cover story "...Some pirates kidnapped her the other day. She's yet to really have the food in her stomach set in."

It took a few moments after that, but the chi who were watching bought Opal's story and evacuated the bathroom at that moment, it was just the two of them now. And hopefully none will be coming in anytime soon, not with the game starting at any minute.

With this now in her mind, she then unbuckles her bag and starts digging through it until she happens upon one of her red healing potions inside, looking at it for a while as she turned to the v-chi "I'm no scholar, but I have heard somewhere that just flat out starvation is a rather bad idea. Heck, some sadist I encountered on my travels once speculated that you can get a bub-chi to resort to nearly animalistic instincts if you starve one for a week. I don't like agreeing with such..." The Cursed Child cleared her throat as she hesitated to continue "...A cold attitude to things. But when you think about it, it does kinda make sense. So if you were to keep trying to starve yourself, well... I think even another v-chi would be tying you up due to you falling apart upstairs."

She then flicked the vial for a moment to watch the liquid swish about for a moment, making sure it was still fresh before she popped the top off of it to smell of it... and it flooded the bathroom with the stench of garlic, crabs, and birds... specifically the feathers from a bird. "...Don't ask where I learned to make this stuff, but learned that adding a few certain things to them helps cure some diseases... some... and the risk of being turned into a V-chi included." She then looked up to Nora as she closed the vial "...No, it does not cure vampirism itself. That's beyond me. Though I'll confess... I needed only one of them, and I just shoved every bit of them in some of these..." She then shuddered, somewhat like a child who is about to take some rather disgusting medicine that even a adult bub-chi would hate to even consider touching.

Finally though she set the vial back in the bag in a easy to reach spot and exploited the fact that the trash can was rather heavy and full to hold it shut before turning to the V-chi "Alright... With a bit of luck, I didn't get the potion addition wrong. Go for it..." She then bit her lip as she looked away, trying to not give to survival instinct that may lead to Nora getting a battle scar in the bathroom from a crystal claw "Just take what you need. And hurry before someone notices and forces the door open."

Under the scenario at that time with Opal covering Nora's weeping under the pirate facade, she does relax and sigh just a bit before she stops her hooting and holler. The vampire does recall the crystal warrior's concept of starvation, honestly starving for a week just sounds way too risky, and after almost displaying her burst of rage just about 5 minutes ago, it's a possible scenario if she hadn't been in here with whoever this petite Ca-Chi is. She would've bitten the student's head off and called it a game over. Wiping her once was tears, she gets the terrible whiff of whatever vial Opal pulled out of her bag, being deterred from the garlic smell. Letting out a sign of discomfort, she notices that Opal would take it, just to let her save her sanity. But just her holding out the bare arm for a bite makes her hesitate recklessly. In the vampire's mind she contemplates with her nature and ethnicity, since as an officer, she wouldn't want to cause such an outbreak of mass hysteria.

".. I'm sorry Opal, but I just can't do that to you.." But remembering something in her backpack, she did carry the empty IV pouch worth a pint of blood from the hospice facility she monitored before being fatally moved somewhere else. The needle was clean enough for a quick round of phlebotomy skills being put to the test, plus the no risk of vampirism glows right before her like the miracle angel Ms. Noelia. "Wait... I have a better idea." She grabs the IV pouch from the back of her bag to reveal her safer plan. There was oddly a small note on it from her own cousin, "Don't go starvin' now." Even more relieved she grabs the small first aid kit as well a sanitation wipe to clean the puncture spot before awkwardly stabbing the needle in Opal's arm. Again, she wasn't an approved phlebotomist but it was half successful as she filled the pouch just enough to close off. Covering the needle wound with a small bandaid in her pocket, she sighs in more relief as she sucks out half of the pouch like one of those kiddy and flimsy juice boxes.

For a moment, Opal simply blinked. "You..." She then shook her head in disbelief "You had that... that WHOLE TIME?!" She then facepalms for a moment, frustrated at how the safer route was right under their noses because of the simple fact that it was in someone else's bag.

Nevertheless, she allows herself to donate the blood as needed, emitting a sigh as she waited for the somewhat slow process to complete. Though before long, there was a knock on the door. "Hey, anyone in there?"

"Ummm... yeah!" Opal said in reply, somewhat glad that the barricade held up "Don't come in though!"

"How come?" The guy replied as Nora began to drink away at the blood bag "Is the toilet bus--"

At that moment, the crystal chi feigned gagging, and walked over to the sing and let out a rather disgusting yet forged sound to make it sound like she was sick and may have trashed the bathroom with her (not) sick chaos. Some footsteps from outside suggested that whoever it was bought it and left, earning a sign of relief as she rubbed the puncture on her arm.

As the V-chi continued to drink away, Opal packed the rest of her belongings up and looked up to her "Well, at least unlike that other v-chi who keeps stalking me, you're trying. But you do need to find a more steady flow of blood, before you get caught in another episode like this."

"Yeah... sorry about that. But hey, I'm trying. I got some for the go as well. But when you think about it, who on Chigon would let a vampire perform phlebotomy for food? Not even without a license, even I could get arrested for such a thing. But it's not as bad as biting someone. ... I'm still stumped since I got my station moved from the hospital to the school. That was like my main source for blood since hospitals scam so many Chis when it comes to donating." She puts the blood bag in her backpack for later as Opal awkwardly moans to drive away the Chi outside.. "... honestly I could sue them and take their trial to court buuuut I thought I might as well take advantage before I do so to sustain me. But that's another story. And just gotta say.. thank you again."

Now that Nora has finally calmed down, she fixes herself up before washing her hands. "Hey, hopefully there is no hard feelings after just now. Man, Cato would have flipped if he found out that I was a V-Chi.. maybe it was a good idea for him to leave in the first place... besides I don't think he would have been that interested in the homecoming.... oh. Great, I'm gonna be late! Hey uh, I know you gotta like go to your uncle's place or something, but maybe you wanna stay for the homecoming tournament? If you can't, that's fine."

"I mean, I answered that very question like... what? 2 minute ago?" The Ca-chi let out a chuckle. as she heard the question about who would let them perform a phlebotomy on them out of nowhere. "But tell me about it. So many wanting just free donations... don't get me wrong, I've donated before without pay when a incident occurs and they need blood bags, and I happen to have the universal blood type. But..." She then emitted a sigh "Most just want free blood and don't way to pay the hundred or so libbles one could get for the monthly phlebotomy."

Afterwards, Opal paused in thought, before letting out a chuckle "Hey, as long as you make a effort, no hard feelings. I do have a friend who could help, but sadly I don't think there's a full out cure. I could talk to her about it, though she's got her hands full with me right now, admittedly." There was a pause... then she joked "...Plus with Cato, I don't think he'd been a help with his blood anyway... You go for a drink, bite or transfusion, and you'll just get coffee instead." She then thought as she unblocked the door and rushed to clean up the mess they left before getting her back up again, bandaging her arm before it bled by chance. "As for the homecoming tournament... as long as I don't get thrown out because I'm not a student here, I'll come with you for sure!"

"Don't worry, I'm allowed to bring you, just don't hurt anyone and we're good." She opened the restroom door before stepping outside with a bunch of Chis running to the stadium, assuming that they are late. She decides to follow them there just behind, with the tournament just not too far with a thicket of woods decorated with ribbons and banners of each school. The clock above the main entrance was just a few minutes before the hour, and the sign-in table was still there gladly as the other students passed by. She flies right over just when the Chi at the desk was about to put the clipboard away. "You got room for one more?"

The Key Club Chi was just a little intimidated by Nora's swift arrival but recognizes her easily. "Nora, I wish you weren't an officer so that way you can beat Azir this year! You know I can't register you girl. But you like being one?"

"Yeah, I really do. The training is tough but it's viable. I'm being a better person certainly. So who do you think will win this year?"

"I don't know, but I'm always rooting for Aclestus University you know. But with the count this year, maybe Azir might get ahead.. They got like an extra 30 people with them tonight. But no worries, you'll beat them."

Quickly, Opal followed the V-chi as she rushed her way through the crowd... at some point, she nearly got split from Nora, but Opal decided not to let the crowd hinder her, and she quickly ran up the wall to start climbing before reaching the top and running along it to keep up.

Once she caught up and the table chi finished his sentence, the Cursed Child jumped and landed right by the V-chi from a very high height, with no sign of injury or fatigue. Afterward she got up and said "What's this about one more?" She then dusted herself off ashe she looked around "There's 5 minutes til. So what's the chat about, if my nosy mind may ask?"

The desk Chi had a badge saying that they're from the Key Club, and they look at the crystal Chi, assuming that they are a student from the other team. "Hello! Welcome to the Chigonian Higher Education Paintball Tournament! Would you like to register to participate? I will need your student ID and-" Nora stops them before they get carried away.

"Uh, yeah, about that... you don't mind if I bring in an extra Chi in tonight? Opal's not a student but she came to see the action. She's um... Cato's sister."

The Key Club Chi slowly grimaces at the sound of Cato. "... that guy? No hard feelings but is he always that full of himself? Acting like he's the smartest thing since sliced bread.. but otherwise, yeah, she can view. She just can't participate in the main event since she's not a student." The Chi pulls out an ink stamp and stamps Nora's bubble with a police symbol, indicating that she is helping with the game. "Have fun!" The desk Chi moves her belongings and table out of the way since she was packing up anyways.

"No worries if that was a poly and there were, but yeeeup.... he is, and does not seem to be getting any better." The Cursed Child crossed her arms as she heard the grimace over Cato "He's honestly no different at home. If I had a libble for every time he acted like he was the smartest guy on the planet while I was dirt worthless and could not even strike a match to start a fire without setting myself on fire instead of the intended target, I'd be the richest bub-chi in Chigon." She then chuckles for a moment afterward "But that's alright... and best I view anyway, as I have no clue what the rules of some of these games are anyway."

Afterward she starts to walk the way of the stadium and start seeking a place to sit and watch... however, she was stopped by a particularly... ill mannered chi from the other team, who tosses a entire bucket of popcorn at her. She didn't say anything in response, but simply looks the way of the other chi, who started saying things that were clearly meant to be slurs against her curse. But the cheering from everyone else drowned the entirety of the speech out, and Opal instead just grimaced at the guy before moving on, not even bothering to attempt to intimidate him. She was here to watch a game, not fight with someone who threw something at her just because she was cursed.

With the shiny crystal Chi walking in the stadium, Nora runs right behind her to the battlefield, as the area was set up like the forest outside with obstacles that mimic the tall wildlife. The seats are stacked high enough for the viewers to peer at the competitor's performance on the main field. It's like paintballing in the forest, without the actual forest even though it's right outside, weird.. As the vampire Chi meets up on the sidelines with her other colleagues, the chief gives a distinct rumble on his face, despising her rather-late arrival. But it passed off easily, and Nora sat down on the bench away from the rest. She does look up however at the stands to find Opal, in which she does to cheer herself up. She also noticed her cousin on the other side along with other acquaintances she knows. The teams are spreading out in the sense, while leaving their bubbles with the faculty. It's a new rule for the game, since bubbles are the best way to not get paint on yourself which can be taken at an unfair advantage.

The field is soon ready, and the announcer soons chirps their call, "Evening Chigon! Welcome to the 10th annual Chigonian Higher Education Paintball Tournament! College teams from all three continents will face in a free-for-all survival paintball battle, last Chi standing wins the game for their team! Rules, if you get paint on you in any way, you're out! If you use your bubble in any way to prevent paint splatters, you're out! If you forfeit or give up, you're out! Good luck!" The buzzer rings in conclusion, and the Chis on the field are going all out as they start to douse each other in paint with small slingshots, pumps and filled water-balloons while travelling in the labyrinth maze. The officers are spread out to catch penalties and Chis that might not know that have paint on them too.

The Ca-chi looked around the arena as the world was registered into her mind. It did strike the Ca-chi as weird due to the rules and style of play, but this being a sport, she couldn't complain, really. Hopefully she'll learn something.

As soon as the match started however, it quickly occured to Opal what was going on, and she emitted a chuckle as she watched. It was quite interesting to watch, funny enough. Even if the paintballs sometimes looked like that hurt. However... one particular case led to the Cursed Child looking to her left and noticing…

...A paintball flying dead at her, despite her height at the sidelines, with no one else around.

However, the Ca-chi seemed to just suddenly turn into a ninja there, as she right away jumps and flips over the paintball, letting it fly past her as she landed in a seat on the row below, giving the chi who launched it a death glare as she mouthed 'I'm not playing, what is your problem?'

She then shrugged. She was the one who helped out in the paint prank after all. But then again, that felt too deliberate to just be a playful shot. She just hoped trouble was not on the way.

The round was going far off track in the sense with the majority of the Metensian players out and a bit of the Alradian players getting soaked in the sense, clearly it's not good. Very tempted to cry out at a student who's in the range of a Colradin slingshot "sniper", but clearly Nora can't, and the victim was hit quickly. However they started a small outrage with the Azir student, and it was a small discussion as Nora steps in the way to break it up, only to get red paint launched at her right in the face as she quickly dodged with extreme speed, she should have expected it to come. You know you can't control university students. "Hey, stop." She intimidated the Chi who lugged the paint blob at her, and they moved on. "No fighting, or none of y'all will continue." The Azir Chi that accompanied the chubby one from earlier makes a simple remark, "oh yeah vampire? Then why don't you get out here and bite us?" The field got a bit silent as Nora turns around to find the Chi, and as calmly as she could get, she shoots a glare and denies it. She holds it in quite well, but the students around are somewhat suspicious but highly doubts the Azir Chi as an Alradian Chi shoots him in the face with a paint launcher. "Hey, that's what ya get." She snickers and returns back to her station, then tracks where the Chi shot at Opal earlier, and gives her a thumbs-up to see if the Traceur was okay. As least she was trying to take the situation easy before the final five would come about.

The tournament was soonly just littered with the paint that lingered on the field, and two Metensian Chi, two Colradin Chis and a Alradian Chi are at the end of it all. The contest was close, and with being outnumbered by four, the stakes were high.. And with all the paint on the ground, a wrong step can be the end of a good play. But not even noticed, the Azir team was planning a painful finale with their secret weapon not in view…

After the V-chi was called out, the Traceur blinked... and for a moment, Opal thought what would have happened had Nora not had a drink earlier. Definitely worse then just a glance and a diversion from a paintball that could have easily been dodged... that's for sure.

The Traceur gave a thumbs up back to Nora to confirm she was okay and looked around at the stadium... and she couldn't deny, it did look tense. But... she did have a fantasy moment as she thought to what she would personally do in this situation....

Then she recalled the fact that the 4 were also rivals to one another, and thus that would take some weight off the Azir chi. So that would even the odds. But in the end, there was not really much she could analyze from the game at the present time.

The battle was tense, as the Aclestus Chi slowly kept his guard up, and tied his long white hair back, capable of catching paint in it and losing the grand finale. But soon the Chi spots a Metensian rival who faces her guard the other way, and with little thinking, they shoot the floor with green paint and the competitor slips when walking back, calling her an out. But he does have the liberty to be a good sport and help her up, knowing that he can't get out if the shooter tried to douse him and is already out of the league. But an Azir Chi takes advantage of the situation to snipe him in the back, but he ducks in time with his quick hearing and shoots the Azir Chi face front, shortening the crowd for the last few minutes of the match. The Aclestus Chi smiles in such notice, looking at the stands to stall such time. Or so thought..

The last three centered themselves in the middle of the field, one student from each continent. It was about to be a high noon shoot off, but the Azir Chi grabs out a button of sorts, and laughs at the two, pressing it. "So long dweebs! Colradin will be crowned victory!" They soon scurry off before tripping and falling in a puddle of paint, losing the competition for Azir all together. The team is extremely annoyed, but they all hide to take cover... for what? In a split second, the ground shakes and rumbles, shocking the stadium and the Chis in the stands. In an instant, the ground explodes with paint of about 30 feet high, hitting the last two students indefinitely. They seek cover outside and so does everyone else as more landmines litter the ground with paint, and Nora helps to lead as many as she could out before serious injury happens..

Opal at first just facepalmed as she saw the Azir chi slip and fall on some paint, ruining their plan outright. She shook her head as she uttered under her breath "Figures. Never announce you have won until you ha--!!"

At that moment, the explosive paint bombs detonated and she found herself hit near directly by the blast, and she fails to get out of the stadium, finding herself cornered by the paint blast, and all she saw was nothing due to her eyes closing instinctively to shield her eyes from the blast.

Once she forced herself up after wiping the paint from her eyes, it at last settled, and the entire stadium was flooded with paint... and she saw the two bub-chi caught in the explosion. She simply paused where she stood in the stands for a few moments.... then shook as much of the paint off and jumped down into the grounds as she yelled out "Okay, I'm no cop, but who's idea was this?! Now nobody's the winner and the entire place is trashed!" She then reached the other two chi and helped them up, before glaring at the Azri chi with her arms crossed. "I thought this was a fair paint war, not a game where this kind of junk was going on, and there's no way you did this WITHOUT setting them up beforehand." She then huffed for a moment "Pranks I'm all for, but cheating? Forget it."

She then left the Azir chi floored and bathed pin paint as the other two recovered their composure and stood up and watched her leave, heading for the doorway that led out of the stadium, looking around as though to access the damage done by the rather low and cheeky attempt at a easy, if destructive, win.

With the stadium just demolished crom the paint bombs, everyone has escaped just barely to see the Azir Chi spat on by Opal of such poor decision. "We wanted to win! We never win! You will pay for this!" before the team was escorted back on the bus to be arrested for the devastating scene. Nora escorts the Chi with the plan along head onto the bus, "Yeah yeah, and you never will win. You're banned dude. Have fun dweebs! See you next year!" She sarcastically pushes him inside the bus as it pulls off. Proudly covered in red paint, she walks back around to see the crowd of Chis conversing of their complaints. The two Chis from the tournament had thanked Opal for the help in there, and very soon they leave home without the white haired one saying a good chat to her while passing by. "Hey, good game. You weren't on the field, but we appreciate you haha." Jamal soon leaves, fist bumping Nora before she decides to find Opal in her last state covered with an assortment of colors.

"Hey. Eh, sorry for the mess. We really didn't know that was gonna happen.. We really gave up our sonar ability haven't we?" She looks at the stadium that doesn't even look like what it was before. "Looks like we'll have to start some fundraisers for the repair.. honestly I'm glad Cato didn't come. He would have flipped! Can you imagine how he would have reacted when the first paint bomb exploded? The look on his face!" She laughs a bit before getting punched in the back by a Chi that looks just so similar, it has to be Vespa. She snickers before flying away, "yo see you at home!" A little frustrated, Nora sticks out her tongue to mock her. "Eh, sorry. That's my annoying little cousin.. so, I guess you got plans to leave back to Z'amma or something?"

"I mean... I still use it. But..." The Traceur gave a shrug as she scowled through the paint in her fur "You're right, he would have gone berserk and called it the worse day in the history of days..." She then emitted a sigh, putting her hands in her pockets as she watched Vespa punch Nora in the back in retaliation before resuming when asked the question "To be honest, I may be doing other things. So likely I don't have to back anytime soon. Besides I've already spent my time with Caput today." She then chuckled for a moment, amused at the fact that she, a adventuring athlete, spends more time with her family then her non-traveling studious brother.

"Huh, do you ever just hang out with Cato? I dunno, maybe he could use the people skills." She sighs, looking at a few stars that glimmer in the Chigon sky. It was pretty late and pretty much everyone has left while a few faculty has stayed to clean some of the exterior of the stadium. ".. well, I run a tight schedule for my police academy tomorrow, I should probably head home. It was good meeting you Opal. Oh, and tell Cato that I'll see him in class next time."

"Now really." Opal confessed with a shrug "Cato is honestly hostile enough toward me that I avoid him when we're both at home. Less because of general hostilities though and more because else we'd fight too often... and to confess, I've more then once wanted to claw his face." She then looked up at the stars along with Nora for a while before looking back to Nora as she announced her leave "Alright... do you need or wish for me to walk with you home? Either way it was a pleasure meeting you as well. And I will, if you need me to help you in any way, I'll see what I can do."

Before she considers to fly away, she takes to consideration, "You know, yeah. I'd appreciate the walk. Thank you... I um, never walked home with anyone other than my pesky cousin.. let alone just fly. But don't worry, I don't live that far. Just stuck in a cramped up apartment where I pay like 250 libbles for a year worth of tuition. Honestly cut down from my time in the police academy. But heck, I just ramble a lot don't I?" She chuckles and leads the way slowly, hoping that Opal would follow the few blocks alongside.

"250 Libbles a year? That's rather cheap in my book." The Traceur chuckled as she followed the V-Chi at her side "Most hotels I find want like 10-25 libbles for a single night. And throw you out if you don't have the funds." She then pulled her libble purse from her bag and checked it... and found only 12 in there along with a moth that flew out of it and toward the lantern of another bub-chi who was passing by. Afterward she sighed and put it away. "I know I could go home and just draw from the thousands of libbles I in theory have saved up at home but..." She then chuckled for a moment "Where's the fun in that? I deliberately locked that up so I can live life, not live gold. I mean where's the fun in that, right?"

"Yeah, but compared to the books I have to buy, one of them was a solid 275 flat. For a BOOK for Benzel's sake! It wasn't even hardcover." She actually pulls out the reduced-quality "pamphlet" of her marketing book, knowing that she was scammed of sweet money. "Yeah I know I got scammed, so honestly I won't complain about the room I got." She notices the little moth right before she mentioned that she was virtually a rich head, "really? Heck gimme some. But honestly you're right. But I just wish they could make things cheaper over here. Like grabbing a ferry ride to the Archipelago from here."

She stops at the crosswalk with another officer directing the walking traffic this late at night from the game, but cleverly they were a Me-Chi with bioluminescence on their side. "Sometime I regret going to school and following norms, you know?"

"I'm somehow not surprised...." the Traceur emitted a sigh as she listened on "It's not uncommon to try to scam a fatigued or oblivious student who's just walked into the world for the first time. It's not the worst that can happen; just ask any studious bub-chi who during their school years went on big vacations on their free time. And sometimes the colleges get in on that action." Opal then emitted a few bits of steam from her ears as she vented "I'm pretty sure the writer of all these darn textbooks that get published every year has a personal pool made from libbles and gold coins."

She then shook her head and stopped with Nora at the crosswalk, looking the other officer's way as they continued on "Regret following the norms, huh? Well I'll be honest with ya. I'm not a normal fan either. I mean, look at me. I didn't want to be a miner like my colony wanted me to, I didn't want to lead the entire colony like Papa wanted me to, I didn't want to study and get a Ph.D and become a insanely smart cookie who sits behind a desk all day, and I didn't want to rot or just become another cog in the system, you know?" She then shrugged as she looked up at the sky with a sign, hands in her pockets "I wanted to live life, you know. Fly from the cradle that I was from and see what the world had to offer. I didn't really care if the world had some... what? A mysterious sea monster that sinks ships to devour them or scolding hot temperatures or blizzards that flash freeze you or whatever. If you just lived doing one thing over and over and over again for a living without really seeing what the world offered while trying to confine to society norms..." She then looked the V-chi's way "Can you really say you've lived life?"

"Yeah you're right, can't really say so. Much as I never asked to be a V-Chi either. My parents tried to make it work, but I ended up yanking my teeth out just to get in." The light on the Me-Chi officer turns green, and she starts walking across. "I'm planning to put this police academy time to good use though. I get to travel and meet areas I never thought I would get to see before. Once I get my degree, I'm gonna landmark some places and patrol there. Away from everything of my past. Heck, I may be in duty, but nothing will stop me baby! Woo!" She seems happier, and gladly her apartment is right across the street a few paces down.

After arriving, she stops at the mailbox, "Hey, thanks for the walk. I really needed that."

She accepts the fistbump, bumping it back. "Yeah, thanks." She grabs her keys, opens her mailbox and takes whatever the heck is inside, just a bunch a brochures and campus news. She walks off to open the door and opening it, but turned around to wave back at Opal before going back inside the door.

The Traceur waved back as she yelled out "Have a good night, Nora! Cya later!" as the door shut. She then looked around with a nod at the sky as she smiled and walked on a bit... before starting to run down the street casually... but after a few moments, she looked up and nodded, backpedaling a moment before running at the wall to quickly scale it without issue and get onto the roof while no one was looking (Or so she thought) before starting to run along them, to make the trip she had in mind more interesting than a casual walk down the sidewalk.
