“Corvi!”

The winged Yumenari put his book down, finally used to the strange sudden ways that Delusions could just simply pop up.

“Hello Cordi. What can I help you with today?”

The Delusion seemed more peppy than normal.

“It’s like you don’t even know that Nemuri’s descent from her mountain happens this very month!”

Corvus tilted his head, of course he knew that. Was this what had Cordi so full of energy?

“Yes, I’m aware. Did you want to help with the preparations for the festival?”

“A whole FESTIVAL just to celebrate Nemuri? How quant!”

“I mean, yeah that’s the general gist, I guess.”

Cordi plopped down on the couch next to the nightmare Yumenari taking and tossing his book into the rest of the room, obviously not caring where it landed.

“So! How do we help!? I want to help celebrate Nemuri in all her wonderful splendor!”

Corvus glared at the Delusion, although it was hard to stay mad when their eyes were so obviously twinkling with such enthusiasm…

“Alright, fine. Do you have any skills? Like decorating wise? I think that’d be the easiest way to help out.”

“Ah yes! Decor! Incredibly important to any party! I shall incorporate my best skills to them! They will be the best portraits of our goddess the cove has ever seen!”

Corvus couldn’t help but smile at the sheer delight on Cordi’s face.

This might be a really good outlet for their energy, too bad Nemuri doesn’t come down the mountain every month.

Cordi grinned ear to ear and bolted up, pulling Corvus up with them.

“Come on! Come on! Let’s go!”

“I’m coming! I’m coming! Stop pulling!!” Corvus whined as Cordi dragged him out of his calm house and into the bustling area that is Yamakage during Nemuri’s descent.

—————-

When Corvus was FINALLY let go, he found himself looking at a group of Nightmares, they were being instructed in tasks by Paramour.

The masked Yumenari noticed them, clipboard in hand.

“Ah, good to see you are awake dear Corvus, and a good day to you as well Cordelia.”

“It’s just Cordi to you..” They snapped at the nightmare who truly didn’t seem too bothered by the aggression.

“My bad, my bad. Regardless, can I assume that the two of you are here to assist with the decorating of the sacred mountain path, yes?”

Corvus' ears perked up. “We’re decorating all the way up?”

“That is the plan, yes. It would be a great assistance to have a Delusion's help.” Paramour looked out at the hard working Yumenari, “Of course, many of us have been charmed by Howl to deal with the extra miasma, I found it disagrees with my mask.”

He shrugged as Corvus nodded. Cordi spoke up.

“Of course I’ll help! I can’t allow Yumenari, not created by the great Nemuri, to sully her beautiful mountain with sub par works of art!”

Corvus groaned. And they were doing sooo well at not offending anyone, so much for that.

Luckily, either Paramour hadn't heard the dig, or more likely in Corvus’ opinion, he simply did not care.

“How lucky for us that we have you to assist us then. You’ll find our craft supplies over there”

Corvus nodded and hung back while Cordi took off, exclaiming something about needing the best supplies.

“Paramour, thank you for allowing them to help. I know Delusions can be… um…” “Non, my dear. Worry not about it. They seem to simply wish to celebrate Nemuri like the rest of us. Of course I would allow them to.” It was always refreshing to deal with Paramour during a frustrating time.

“Oh, I suppose that Astra is still guarding the entrance to the Delusion’s home?”

“That is correct. We might yet encounter her while hanging the decorations upon the mountain. Ah, but here i am getting distracted; how about we go make our art, yes?”

“Sure, but uh Paramour, aren’t you the one organizing this?”

The Yumenari walked over to a canvas set upon an easel while he talked.

“I am more than skilled enough to do both! Now as the organizer, it’s time for you to get to work too, my young Nightmare!”

Corvus nodded half heartedly and took a seat next to Cordi. Frankly he had no clue what Cordi was working on, maybe it was something about how Delusions celebrated Nemuri? Regardless, he took a hold of some wicker and paper, and began to construct some lanterns.

The three Yumenari worked hard on their various crafts, Paramour taking moments to direct various volunteers as needed. Cordi had nary said a peep during the time Corvus had constructed as many paper lanterns as he cared to.

“Are you almost done, Cordelia? We’ve been at this for a while...”

Pointing a finger at the winged yumenari, Cordi declared that one cannot rush greatness, earning an annoyed sigh out of Corvus while Paramour double downed on the Delusions point, one should indeed NOT rush greatness.

Corvus stood up, tossing the last of his paper lanterns into a box, “I'm going to go find some twine then.”

Just at that moment, Cordi rose and exclaimed that they were finished, showing the other two yumenari their piece of work.

“Ah magnifique! One can truly see your intention to honor our dear goddess within this piece!”

The praise coming from Paramour caused Corvus to look over. “What is it? With all the colors… is it your home, under the mountain?”

“CORVUS! THIS IS NEMURI!!!”
