Sneaking In

Checking himself over one more time, a pretty young noblewoman stood in the mirror. Dark red hair still held up with the golden needles that often doubled as picks in a pinch. Makeup layered lightly considering one side of their face was more sensitive than the other. A sleeveless, lacey blue dress with black gloves stretching all the way up their arm. Reaching out to gently touch the mirror, Love might not consider himself worth anything overall, but, at least like this, he knew he was attractive enough to draw attention.

Smoothing out the front of his dress again, he was double checking specifically because he had just left a certain hell resident at the front gates. Flirtatious and full of trouble, he was enjoying their passing interest in him. Passing, because Love had yet to find out what they were after from him. Rich with the freedom to do what they pleased, the only thing he could think of would be adding him to their list of flings, and that wasn't something he could do. Somewhat sadly with how he felt, but he was raised on the traditional rules of nobility from his hired caretakers and didn't want to give his parents any more trouble than he already was.

Finding himself satisfactory, he pushed his worries about debts and consequences out of his head for now. It was time to meet with his parents once again and spend some quality time together to keep them from worrying too much.

With glass in hand, Thief sat comfortably at the table with the pair of older human redheads as they waited for just one more person. They were a rather friendly pair, on the shorter side compared to his own height but that mattered less when they were sitting and it wasn't a competition to see who was the taller of them all. Dressed finally but in the more comforting clothing, this was something he could get used to in small amounts. The Thief had a feeling if a certain someone had their way it would be a very small amount too.

He had a wonderful trip between the sights to see and that blushing Love he had all to himself, and now he was invited over for dinner with the two people he wanted to meet and made this trip for. An odd phrase as he was doing his damnedest to seduce Love, but getting to know the parents that birthed his darling Love was also a step in the right direction. Not that Love seemed to agree, trying to shoo him right off the second they got there. But oh, he had a few tricks up his own sleeve from time to time.

“It’s a great pleasure to finally see one of the people Love has spoken so fondly of. If only we had met sooner.” The father commented, earning a charming smile from Thief as he agreed.

“Alas, Love does like to keep their own secrets. I am ever so thankful for inviting me over for dinner and a stay, I must say it's a wonderful excuse to spend some time with this lovely family.” Turning as he heard footsteps approaching, he smiled and wiggled his fingers at Love as the more elegant and ladylike figure approached. He knew what was under all those layers, but for this façade he kept that to himself.

Pausing outside the entertainment room he'd normally be meeting his parents in, Love had one hand on the handle, listening to a pair of voices that he shouldn't be recognizing right now. It had only been a few hours since he was leaning up against a handsome demon while trying to at least match the 5000 debt in one day to keep from incurring interest for the day. Something he fought hard for to keep his head wrapped around the count while trying to keep the kisses shorter. He swore, they said they'd see them later, but much to his dismay he supposed now might be later.

He let a moment more pass before opening them, seeing exactly what he was avoiding most. The object of his interest sitting and chatting merrily with his parents. They were all nice people, but seven hells, he wasn't sure he was ready to know what his parents would think of Thief. "Oh my," he smiled, feigning surprise, though he was being truthful when he went on, "I wasn't expecting to find you here." Hurrying over with a purpose, he went to the mischievous demon, reaching down to take their hands in his with a light tug, "It's such a pleasure to see you again, why don't we chat." It was more of a statement than the next question, "Mother, Father, I'll see you at dinner?" While he wanted to catch up with his family, he could do that after figuring out why he heard something about thief spending time with his family.

They glanced at each other, and seemed sad to see love appear and wish to disappear just as quickly, but were willing enough to let them go. "Of course dearest. Do make sure to tell the chefs if your companion can't eat anything."

Giving the finely dressed male (disguised as a beautiful female) a chance to enter, Thief was ready for a lovely dinner and impromptu gathering with the pair of humans he met and his interest who just entered. Sure he had planned it, but that was beside the point as he was just getting by on the idea that this was all just a whim to see his darling Love. He had even taken on a less demonic appearance himself to try and fit in, a rarity but he was hoping to make good first impressions even if he had reason to believe it mattered not to the parents.

With Love closer, he was going to give more personal greetings full of love and ah wah but was cut off before he even started. Love wanted to run off with him someplace, and knowing him it wasn't going to be for any secret fun either. He was shy and rather easily flustered as a gremlin, let alone a proper lady who standards.

“Chat about what, my Love?” Thief asked, though with a sigh he did follow the other. “We can always talk about it here. I was just having a nice conversation with your parents, just as lovely as you always said they were.” Though, that seemed to be out of the question as he was tugged away and towards the door. Setting the glass down before he got too far from the table, he walked along with Love, wondering what the other was thinking in their mind of theirs.

He had a horribly fluttering feeling in the pit of his stomach when finally managing to drag thief out. Half of it was caused by the infiltrator himself claiming his Love and half by his parents excited whispers he could still hear on the other side of the door, clearly having heard it too. Keeping hand in hand, Love sighed as he stepped away, picking a path he knew would at least be barren on their way to the kitchen. "Why are you like this?? Why are you even here? Who in the world let you in? What possessed you to even start talkin to my parents? I heard wrong when you said you were stayin right???"

They were a lot of questions in rapid succession, but he wanted to get them all out now while there was no one around to hear Love slip back into his rougher speech patterns. Taking a short breath to calm himself, there was a lot going through his mind at the moment, but he didn't let it show through any wild gestures or flailing like normal at least. His tone softer when he side eyed the Thief for one last question for the stack, he inquired, "...And since when was I yours..?"

Listening to Love for a moment and letting him get out all those frustrations he knew he would have, once the other was done he leaned down to place a gentle forehead smooch on the pale forehead. “Do you feel better now?” Regardless of the answer, as long as Love stayed quiet he was more than happy to explain his reasons for being there and being the devious gremlin he was.

“Your parents let me in, I mentioned I was here to see their darling Love and how much I just missed you. Oh how hearts grow fonder of one another when apart but alas I don't know if my heart could take it.” Smiling, he did take Love’s hand and kiss the back of it, maybe putting on a little bit of flair but it was all for a good cause. “Your parents invited me to stay for dinner and for the night, they are quite a lovely pair. Very kind, very loving of their only child, very sweet parents. You could of course head back in and tell them otherwise, but I think that might break their fragile little hearts. You have been my love for quite some time, don't tell me you’re that dense now.” Hearing some gentle footsteps as curious eyes were more than likely peering around the corners to investigate, Thief placed another gentle smooch onto Love and held him a little closer. For of course the image and also so they could whisper back and forth if need be.

"I suppose.." It was stupid how easily Love forgave Thief for their mischievous ways with a simple kiss on the forehead. Even being the one to think this, he couldn't stay mad at them, that feeling of endear and excitement running hand in hand too well.

They knew him better than he wished too, not about to spoil his parent's moods just to tell them the new guest was headed home instead. They got so excited over the smallest things when it was related to him, and he knew already they had the wrong idea over him and Thief... probably. "You are aware we were parted for merely a couple hours?"

Deciding to gently brush over the rest of the questions, he picked which to answer with a tinge of color. Even if he had been afraid of what his parents would think of Thief, it did relieve him to know that they were fond of one another. The only random, but short smooch bringing him out of thoughts for a moment. Just long enough to hear the soft gasps and see white bows disappearing around a corner. "W-Wait-! Ah... yoooouu.. You shouldn't be doing these sorts of things in the halls..!" Just another reason he hadn't wanted Thief to be invited inside. The gay chaos they liked to thread. Well, perhaps not gay as far as the employees were concerned. He couldn't bring himself to properly admonish them either in his disguise. Habits engrained into his role, he wound up acting much more sweet and shy than his normal gremlin behavior. "Could you promise to behave for today??" The saving grace was they were only staying the night. As far as he knew.

“Oh I'm well aware, but I can miss you if I want to.” Smirking as he heard the gasps, he couldn’t help but be a little devil even as the times didn’t call for it. It made life that little bit more interesting even as Love huffed at him that he shouldn’t be so flirty and openly affectionate as he was.

“Why not, you are so cute and I just want to indulge that little bit while I can.” He wasn’t sure if Love’s parents would be okay with that public affection, a later thing to find out as he stayed. Though, he already had a talk and knew there was plenty of time in the future to give into that gay.

“I suppose I can be on some better behavior for you though, as long as I still get to enjoy your company. Is that a good enough promise for you?” Giving Love’s forehead another smooch, he just wanted to rest his head on his, stand there, but they had places to be.
