the azure child
Chapter 1
harder times there never have been more, two hundred so years ago our small village of wayfaring warrors, dying from battle wounds
only some survivors struggled from the frost they were bloodied and broken and laid in the snow, soft fires died as did the people
our king's soul set aloft, as did the queen's and all hope was lost, until soon came He
fauna ran and flora rumbled, bushes tore apart out from the forest came a child, pure of heart
in His hand He carried a gem and He laid it heartedly upon the king's breast it was a diamond of unimaginable power and now we prayed for where it rest
and with the guidance of this angel, the king's eyes flitted it was the child who brought him to life he would rule still, the lords permitted
the boy was blue, and He was huge He was five feet tall with a halo of golden-brown hair He didn't fear us all
He was sent from heaven a true savior for with the diamond we prospered, and gave Him our favors the child left and never returned we must pray to the azure child that's what we learned
