Mavrik

Mavrik blinked slow and lazy as he slowly cracked the door open, gasping a little at the mound of snow that was still before the doorway, but at least now there was a doorway to look through. He shivered a moment, looked back to the sleeping family behind him, now having grown thin and tired. He wasn't doing so well himself, the food having run out a few days ago. His gaze turning back to the mound, taking in a deep breath and bracing himself, he pushed out into the snow.

Heading out into the forest, he began to forage. Digging through snow in promising areas, both freezing and sweating from the work he was doing, however THAT worked. But he was however fruitful, finding enough frozen and dead food he collected all he could and dragged it back to the house, urging the fire back to life once more, and after plucking, skinning, and doing whatever he needed to, if a bit awkwardly and his cuts not at all strait, it was at least cooking. The blue male sitting there and warming his feet and hands from the cold, watching the flames in silence until the food was done. Going over he gently urged the female awake. "The white has stopped falling... I was able to get some food." he urged lightly. "Come. I don't know what to do for your pup." he told her, seeming a little embarrassed.

She stared at him for a few moments before smiling towards him some. "You had no need to do anything... You could have left us to fend yourself." she noted, taking his hand and shaking it. "I am glad you didn't... thank you." she told him quietly, making him smile some. "It was nothing." he promised her. "I couldn't leave you after all the kindness you showed me." he promised her. "I don't think I did a very good job." he admitted, looking at the jagged cuts he had made. But she only waved him off and told him he did very well as she set to work preparing the food for her pup. "You should eat some." she encouraged, making him shake his head. "I'm fine. I ate a little." he promised her. A lie, of course. But he had strength enough, and it seemed they needed it more then he did.

The smell of the cooking food however roused both the females mate and their pup. Mav sat in silence as he watched the two parents tend to the pup and it's needs, before, once it had eaten it's fill, the two parents fell hungrily upon their meal. Mavrik ignoring the empty, gnawing feeling of his own stomach to allow the both of them to eat. "It takes a bit... but there are many frozen and dead things under the white." he explained. "You should do well enough now, as you regain your strength." he told them.

Not long after, the blue alpha took his leave, thanking the two of them once more for their generosity of taking him on before he left them and headed out into the white on his own.
