No Boyfriend Shopping
An ear-splitting whinny pierced the air, and Zara winced.
"Really, Sassy? I know there's stallions here, but this is getting a little ridiculous. We're not here to go boyfriend-shopping for you."
The Buckskin snorted and tossed her head.
"Not. happening. Besides, you won't be ready for a boyfriend for another 8 months. Plenty of time to get some shows under your girth. Now come on."
A light tap of the crop on Zara's boot was all it took to get her moving and and into the warm-up ring, despite the mare's obvious objections. Her tail swished excitedly anytime they cantered passed the entrance to the stables.
"I swear, you are impossible..."

Teneriffe finally settled and relaxed into her canter, and just in time too. The official standing at the gate had just signaled them to head towards the arena.
"Alright girl, let's show them what you got."
Pointing her nose in the right direction, Zlatozara nudged the mare into a Skeggas, the smooth gait her breed was known for. The crowd murmured at the unusual sight of a Zlesdin showing off such in a jumping ring.
'One, two, three... Funky turn at ten... Got it.'
Kicking it up into a canter, the bell rang for them to start their round, and the pair surged forward, 'Sassy' giving an eager whicker at what was to come.
