Backstory
Xing Yue's backstory
Xiao Yue was born in the mid-late Tang dynasty, specifically the 708 AD. She was born in the imperial palace as the 1st princess to the throne because there were no male heirs. Her other sisters were Chen Yuanjun and Yang Xiaodan. Xiao Yue's imperial king's father was Xing Guizhong, while her mother, Xing Xue, was the king's favorite concubine. Yue's mother was his first love, you could say since childhood. The king had a total of 6 concubines and only 3 managed to bear an heir, however not even one could bear a baby boy.
In the POV of Yue: That is until after my 14th birthday. Concubine Zhou Lingtao recently got the favor of the king after she gifted him a jaded bracelet that was passed through her family's generation. Rumors were said that the baby boy wasn't even the king's real heir. Until this point, I had a reasonably good life, I decided to take up both swordsmanship and a princess's duties since that is required to rule a country in the future. I could easily beat up a dozen soldiers at once, I could even win the annual Tang Sword Festival if Father let me. Since I was the eldest, I have had to take care of Yuanjun and Xiaodan well but they are surprisingly hard to manage, both of them are mischievous and love to cause me the greatest headache. Now back to the birth of my little brother.
