Ken stood there in the blue. Bright blue all around and nothing else. This space belonged to him, Wulfric. She closed her eyes and when she opened them, he was there. She felt some blue liquid drip from her mouth. There was what he had become. The monstrous creature she'd made him. She felt hollow and her sparkles turned white. She watched him, a giant creature like a strange anteater, many sharp teeth, many blank white eyes, pink feathers on its tail back and limbs that ended in huge claws. Its body swirled galaxy like. Black dripped from it and disappeared into the blue. It shook slightly, like it was in pain. She stood in front of him, for how long she didn't know. Suddenly she was in a blank white space. She knew these dreams. They never changed much. They morphed into a violent yellow, other bright colours flowing around, patterns, flowers. Her form wavered, sketchy, it was psychedelic. She felt them there and herself. It moved all around and then changed. She was standing in an abattoir. All the cattle carcasses suddenly changed to the bodies of her friends, she closed her eyes. Back in the blue with him. Ah...her heart. She was jolted back to consciousness by a kick to the stomach. "Ah... Sorry, thank you." She said to the young man standing over her, her close friend Joshua.
"Stop it." He told her looking concerned. Ken sighed, she knew what he was talking about. She kept sleeping, when she shouldn't.

It had started several months ago. Something bad had happened, and Ken avoiding thinking about it, thinking about the state of the world, the state of herself, slept. She slept for a week and this is where the dreams started coming through more strongly. The creature, he, Wulfric, had an even stronger presence as it wore on. His presence was slowly deteriorating her being. When she was awake, blue dripped from her mouth, becoming more and more frequent. Every time she slept she became more tired and couldn't help but fall asleep again. She had to rely on her few friends to wake her up a lot of the time.

Then one time something really strange happened. After being woken by Joshua she was about to say something when she felt nauseous and threw up. It was mostly blue liquid, but in that was a human heart. It wasn't hers. She had no clue where it came from. She picked it up and examined it, it still beat. After a moment she sunk her sharp teeth into it. She ate it. The blood ran down her chin, mixing with the blue. She wiped it away. This wasn't good. At this rate it wouldn't be so long until she wouldn't wake any more. She couldn't hurt Joshua like this. She had to stay awake.

Ken was in the blue again. He was there. The dreams were all the same. She woke up on her own this time and felt a tear roll down her cheek. Dammit... She sat up, she was in the middle of the forest. She brushed herself off and headed back home. She stopped just outside the front door. She frowned. How long had she been asleep for? She'd woken up on her own but it could've be from minutes to days. She put her head in her hands. "Argghghh." The blue dripped even more, the scar on her face, similar in composition to the creature's body, started dripping black. "AHhhhh." Oh god oh god... wait... She could feel his presence. Wulfric was here. She started breathing harder. She looked to her left. His snout was poking out from behind the house. "AHHH!" Ken screamed and jumped back. Jesus Christ. No. This couldn't be real. Augh. She threw up blue again, shaking. She slowly stepped back as he moved revealing his whole self. She looked up at him with fear in her eyes. Wulfric growled, he trembled and dripped. He opened his mouth over Ken's head, all his sharp teeth only an inch away. Ken stayed frozen there. It looked like it was about to bite in when it threw back its head and roared in pain, it sounded almost static-y. She should run. She should go right now. She should get the hell out of there. But something kept her rooted to the spot. She'd done this. She'd made him this. But wasn't it both their fault?

Wulfric pulled Ken into the real blue. She stood there with him and suddenly around them a memory played of when he was human, when he was friends with Ken. She looked sad as she watched. It started playing through Ken's memories, with all different people. It came to her and Joshua. She held herself as she watched. God she wanted to hold him right now. She shook. "Let me back... Please." Ken requested. Wulfric growled and shuffled around a bit. They were back in reality. Wulfric slowly slunk away and left Ken standing there trembling. She threw up so much blue and the scar kept dripping too. She ran into the house and grabbed Joshua holding him tightly as she sobbed into his shoulder. That was too close. She had almost ended.
