"Signal what are you doing?" Radio asked with more than a little bit of curiosity in his voice.

"Well, I'm making a birthday card." Signal stated matter of fact, she had been working on the card for about five minutes. "The hairdresser seems to be upset, and his birthday is coming up. So I thought it would be nice to make a card for him!" She looked up at Radio from the card she was working on.

The two had just left a craft store, they had originally came there as Radio needed more stuffing and fabric for the pillows he had been working on to brighten up his room with more color. Then Signal had seen a display with various colors of card stock, and a few metallic markers by the checkout, and she had bought some to make the card she was now working on.

Signal was pretty sure that Radio was slightly concerned, and impressed that she'd been working, and working well while they were walking through town.

   Radio gave a slight sigh.

"Would you like us to make a detour to drop it off?" Radio sounded slightly annoyed, but that was normal for him. "I'm asking as I don't trust you being alone in town anymore. Remember that stop sign?"

He was referring to the stop sign Signal had somehow torn out of the ground and stolen in the dead of night after sneaking out of the factory when Radio was asleep, the uprooted sign was still in the factory.

"Sure! I just finished the card anyway." Signal chirped as she signed her name on the inside of the card.

"Alright. Let's get over there quickly, I don't like being in town longer than I have too." Radio as turned onto a street that would lead them towards the salon, Signal followed humming the happy birthday song.

Ten minutes of walking later they entered the salon.

Signal walked over to the staff only door and glanced at the card she had made.

It was rather simple, just a piece of red card stock folded in half with a simple star shaped geometry pattern, and 'happy birthday!' drawn on the front with a black metallic marker. On the inside were a few more of the same pattern that was on the front, and the message 'Happy birthday! Hope this year is even better than the last! -Signal' written and drawn in the same metallic black marker.

Signal gave the door a soft knock, then crouched down and slid the card under the door.

After a few minutes Sinatra's muffled voice came from the other side of the door.

   "Thank you."
