Secrets of The Wind

The blinding light of day broke through the eyes of a blue and starry comfortsaur as they squinted in defiance to the sun's rays.

 "Ooo what an interesting tail," an unknown male's voice chirped up excitedly. It didn't take long for their eyes to adjust in the harsh light to spot what the cookie coated comfy was talking about. Their tail but clouds of mist that you could pass your paw. While also seeing the seemingly unnatural hues of blue and white. This compared to the comfortsaur in front of them seemed out of place. through, yet it wasn't the strangest thing in The starry comfortsaur's sight just then. There stood a building that towered behind them. It Whirled with the noise of turning gears and clashing metal. Despite the ruckus no lights were shining in the windows of the large colorless building yet still running nonetheless. It was a scary sight to see having woken up it a strange place and unsure of where to go. They took a second to take in the surroundings and took a shallow breath in attempt to remain calm. Before looking over at the strange comfy whose tail was happily wagging back and forth. 

"Hello, I'm chip- I know you must be confused by these new surroundings. so, let me show you to town," He smiled introducing himself. 

"Oh why thank you. I'm…" The starry comfortsaur started only to pause at the realization they couldn't think of their own name. 

"You're Mizuki– it says so on your tag see?" Chip helped out the confused saur as he lifted up the necklace with his paw gently. 

"Oh I guess it is," Mizuki gave a light nod glancing at Chip's tag which fit snuggly along with his red bow tie around his neck. Their brain couldn't make sense of what was around them. So many questions flowing through the mind caused Zuki to space and fall quiet. 

"We can sit if you're feeling overwhelmed," Chip chirped worriedly, giving their shoulder a gentle nudge. All Mizuki could do was give a nod as they say back down in the grass taking another drawn out breath with the guidance of the worried comfortsaur. 

After the two sat for a while watching the nature around them, chip stood up. He gave a soft smile as he offered a paw to help Mizuki onto their feet. They reached out accepting the help and soon started to trot along with chip. Zuki's mind was calm yet still rather unsure of their seemingly new surroundings. Questions still lingered around about how they got there or why they could not remember anything for that matter. This made Mizuki stuck in their train of thought pondering what the answers could be. Though it wasn't long before they were startled out of their pondering by chip putting a paw In front of them to stop. In amazement Mizuki laid their eyes upon the small town. The houses were neatly lined and stood out from one another with all sorts of colors and styles shown throughout the town. 

"Welcome to chester vil– it's what we like to call it anyway," Chip happily informed the newcomer before he continued on. 

"Let's go get you settled. You can come stay with me and my roommate until we get you your own place built," his tail wagged excitedly at the idea of the company staying over. 

Mizuki had listened while looking around at the surroundings, spotting other comfortsaurs around as they walked pass going up to a nice looking fancy white house that was bigger than all the others. Chip happily went and jumped up on the porch excitedly only to be grumbled at by a dark colored comfy with a rather serious complexion. He seemed to be the opposite of chip. With a much darker coat with aquatic fins on his legs. Alongside tentacle tails standing on their ends ready to snatch something or someone up. 

"Oh warden, you know I'm only playing. I've brought back a new friend that I found outside the factory," Chip chuckled unfazed by the comfortsaur's unfriendly demeanor. 

Warden gave a simple dismissive chuff in response as he watched Chip wipe his paws off on the mat. Chip opened the door before gesturing to Mizuki to follow suit. 

They hesitantly followed wiping off their paws before going in after the friendly fellow cautious of the stare from Warden's harsh gaze. 

"Sorry if he spooked you. Warden looks mean yet he is a good comfortsaur- just hard headed at times," Chip apologized to his new friend as he strolled over to the stairs. 

"Oh no it's fine. I didn't even notice he was there at first until he made a sound. Though he is rather intimidating," Mizuki spoke honestly, watching as Chip started to feel his way up the stairs.

zuki quickly followed after and helped him the rest of the way up. Earning a thank you from her new found companion. 

"Now here is where you will be staying. It has all that you will need for a start until we get you built a home," Chip chirped as he showed them into the guest room where they'd be staying. Showing them the different parts of the room and the necessities it provided. Before he left, leaving Mizuki with some privacy and space to get settled down for the night. She was still pondering about the day unfortunately as she laid in bed looking up at the ceiling. So many new things and so much she couldn't remember about the place she woke up.
