Author's Notes
Miss Merdith was a lovely Dextroluma to work with. She was so agreeable and even let me have one of her blossoms to press for my collection. I learned a lot from her and enjoyed some delicious hand made tea while we spoke.
Sample from a Miss Merdith Stonecypher

Appearance
This particular growth takes the form of rose blossoms growing directly from a spongy scar-like tissue on the subject's skin. The blossoms themselves are so similar to an Earth Rose that if I were given one without knowing its origin that is what I would have assumed it was. They are a dusty rich shade of purple at their full bloom and only darker in their earliest and latest stages, taking on a deep violet hue. They have very little, if any, stem. When present they are leafless and the same shade as the subject's skin.
Uses
Miss Stonecypher is very pleased with all the uses that her blossoms have and told me at length all the ways she uses them. I shall outline a few here. She dries the petals and uses them for tea and incense. She also uses the petals in candies and jellies, garnishes and salads. She does respect that some of her clientele may not be inclined to consume plants that grow from her so she does not use the petals excessively and makes sure that if someone orders something that the petals are used they are informed prior to being served. She also clips them to be used as decorations around her shop and dries the full blossoms to be given as gifts or sold to others. She outlined some other uses as well but these are the main ways she utilizes the blossoms.
