“Thank you again, Melody! Have a nice night!” A scrawny young spinxyn waved goodbye as they walked out of the restaurant, a bag of food in hand. 6 waved back as she watched them leave, if she had a face she’d probably be giving a gentle smile, she took a few minutes to finish closing up the restaurant for the night before heading out herself. The three moons were full and glowing brightly tonight, competing with the city’s usual neon glow. 6 glanced at different signs and billboards to pass the time as she made her way through the city. The silent buzz of her phone caught her attention.

6 made a gesture as if sighing. A text at this hour? It’d likely be something that’d change her plans for tonight… she pulled out her phone, a message from Sigrid.

Luckily for 6 it was simply Sigrid wishing her a good night. Relieved, 6 shot a quick text back and tucked her phone away, looks like work was done for the day after all.

6 continued onwards until she made it to her destination, she kept herself cool, calm, and collected as she entered an apartment building and rode the elevator up a few floors, tapping her foot as she watched the floor numbers change. 6 stepped out of the elevator and made her way down the hall, stopping at a door and giving it a few graceful knocks. She listened to shuffling coming from inside as someone approached the door, as the door creaked open she was met with a mostly blue spinxyn who only appeared shorter than her due to being in a feral form. The spinx pushed her long red fur out of her face and gave 6 a small smile, “Hey you made it, come on in.” The spinx stepped back to let 6 in.

“Of course I made it Nera! You have been wanting me to watch this movie for weeks, and I was not going to let something ruin my free night!” An assortment of voices came from 6 as she ‘spoke’, she perked her ears up in excitement, as if she was exaggerating whatever emotions that could be picked up in her body language, it was difficult to indicate tone through voice when none of the voices are yours after all.

“Come up with any new songs?” 6 questioned as she sat herself at the couch.

“No no,” Nera gave a nervous chuckle, “haven’t been working on it, not like anyone will hear it anyways.” She trailed off as she fixed herself a snack in the kitchen. 6 glanced over at her, “I’d love to hear it whenever you finish,” she tried to say in a gentle voice. Nera shrugged awkwardly as she sat at the couch with a small bowl of chips for herself.

“So!” 6 clapped her paws together, wanting to move the conversation away from the awkwardness she accidentally created, “Let’s see this movie you’ve been talking so much about, hmm?” Nera nodded with a smile and pressed play on the remote.
