Regret

Jun was having another one of his depressing and anxious episodes and needed some time to himself. He was sulking on the couch, feeling miserable as his terrible thoughts cling onto him like a bunch of slugs.

The redhead sat there for a while until he heard a very familiar voice from outside. The front door busts wide open and a male with purple hair and dark skin enters the house. "Hiiiii Juuuun!!" He greets Jun with a huge smile on his face and then proceeds to run over to him to hug him.

Surprisingly, Jun shoves his friend away in annoyance, making him fall down to the smooth but cold floor. "Kae, can you shut up just for one second? You don't need to fucking hug me every time you see me you idiot." Exasperation slips into Jun's voice as he says those words.

It wasn't like Jun to say such things to his closest friend and it made Kae concerned. "Huh? Jun?? Um...what's wrong?" Kae asks and gets back up, his bright smile falling, "Um...you know I'm always here for you, right right? You are my best friend after all...!"

Jun turns his head away from the purple head and clicks his tongue. He believes staying quiet would hurt his friend less but his silence didn't stop Kae from reassuring him that he's still loved by people and he wants to cheer his best friend up. Kae's words angers Jun more and more to the point he gets up and slaps Kae, leaving a faint red mark on his cheek. "Like I said, can you shut up?! Even for just a little bit?! I'm feeling like shit right now and because of you, you made things worse!! What are you good for?! Running around and being a happy little idiot?! Yeah, that's not gonna fucking get you far, Kae." Jun pants heavily after snapping and sits back down on the couch.

"..." Kae's brown pupils shrink after hearing that from Jun...his best friend forever and ever. Or was he really his best friend forever and ever? "W-What...?" His voice trembles as he tries to get up, "J-Jun.....a-am I really that bad...? A-Am I not your best best friend anymore?" The brightness in Kae's eyes washes away and gets replaced with tears.

When Jun realizes what he just said, he is utterly shocked. Not knowing what to do, he says,"J-Just...just get out of here Kae...l-leave me alone dangit..." He gets up and pushes Kae out of the house while trying not to show his green eyes watering. Kae runs back to his house next door as he chokes on his sobs.

'Goddammit...this is all my fault....'
