Looking for something a little more filling than cotton candy, the group waited in line for something more savory instead. Cassia was looking at some burgers, while Ember pouted and just wanted more sugar. Seriously, she was just like a kid and Cass could have sworn she heard Carter say something about her needing an intervention.
Either way, the group was trying to find a place to sit with their chosen food (and Azula had finally managed to coax Ember into something a little more filling than more sweets), and finding a place to eat was almost as bad as Ember’s insistence on sugary concoctions.
They did eventually find an empty area to sit down where some other fair goers had tossed blankets down or just sat in the grass. Ember inhaled her food and went running around the little area as if to burn off some energy, leaving the three pullers in relative peace.
At least it was peaceful when they sat down. It wasn’t long before chaos erupted, and Cass was immediately on her toes, trying to find the source of the disturbance.
Because she was the first one up, her honed reflexes got the better of her as she suddenly made a target of herself. Her other companions managed to duck, already being lower than her, but she managed to get a face full of fries.

Azula waited in line for food, she had managed to coax Ember into getting some filled breads. She settled on a meat and potato filled bun herself, and the little chaser settling for a sweet potato one- perhaps because it was dusted with powdered sugar. She chuckled to herself as the little chaser licked the sugar off before they were even able to get seated anywhere. They finally gave Azula her order in a convenient little wrapped package she was able to take in her mouth, cursing herself for not bringing her usual carry bags. She then began to look around for Carter and Cass in the busy crowd.
Carter rubbed his paws together feverishly as he browsed the exotic meat stalls. They had everything from Thedale, to Warrenfall, even rare delicacies from Vitalus! The tabby puller had never really had anything exotic, and as he browsed something extreme stuck out to him. Unicorn. It took all he had to not start drooling. The price was high probably due to rarity and the magic or preservations needed to get it so far from its home continent. But in Carter’s mind it was totally worth it. He shelled over some coin and waited politely for the booth owner to package up his meal, which even came with some delicate sides of roasted potatoes.
Once the group found each other and got settled, Azula opened her meal and began to eat while watching Ember race around. She had no idea how the little one had so much energy, and especially able to run around right after eating. Savoring the delightful meat and potato dumpling like creations, her ears perked up just as Cass’s did. She looked over at the female who was already on her feet, just in time to see her catch a container of fries with her face. Azula’s mouth hung open in shock, only to hear two frightening words.. “FOOOD FIIIIIIGHT” She gulped after seeing the fries fall off of Cassia’s very unamused face, waiting to see how she may react to such a childish sort of thing.
However, before she could even think, the rascal Ember had scooped up the rest of her lunch, which she had actually wanted to eat; and laughed before launching it back in the direction the fries had been thrown. This definitely seemed like it was right up the little chaser’s alley as far as chaos and excitement went- so Azula actually wasn’t too surprised. She just held her head in her paw for a moment and hoped it would pass quickly.
Carter was just about to pop a piece of the savory unicorn into his mouth when he got slapped with a burger, wet and loaded with condiments right to the side of his neck. Confused at first until he heard someone scream food fight. It was then that all hell opened up and the sky was just covered in food! He did his best to cover his meal quickly, he’d be damned if someone were to ruin something he was so excited for. He grumbled as he wiped a paw of god knows what from his neck, wiping it clean in the grass with an irritated growl.
It seemed Cassia was with Carter on this one and held up her cloak to attempt to shield herself from any more incoming food, especially after seeing something splatter all over the other warrior vayron. They were also prime targets, being rather right out in the open and surrounded by others.

Cass was just done with it all, and would end it quickly. She used her cloak as a makeshift shield to cover herself and her movements as she gathered up what food she could in the area. With that, she managed to get herself a nice arsenal of weapons. With a grin to her companions, she pulled on her magic, summoning bits of ice from the water in the air and affixing it to the collection of food.
“Better duck guys.” She waid, and Ember was the first to heed her words, Azula and Carter finding their way behind her as soon as they could.
Calling on her ice, she sent the food flying, targeting everyone else still in the fight, her ice sending the food exactly where it needed to go. She let the ice melt a split second before the targets hit, making sure there were no injuries from the frozen bits. She tossed her cloak off to the side in a sweep, triumphant, smirking to her companions. Ember was bouncing around like crazy, excited at her companion’s display. The other pullers were mixed between shock and excitement.
“Come on, let’s go.”
