The other pullers bid Cassia adieu, deciding it was eventually time for them to go home. The opalescent marked duve couldn’t blame them, they seemed worn out, and while she and the little chaser had more energy, didn’t mean everyone else did.
Ember corralled the opal puller towards a collection of fun games. These were more of the traditional variety, small little things like dart throwing or trying to toss a hoop around the necks of bottles. A group of kids were even playing around with some balls and ducks, although Cassia had no clue what was the purpose of that.
While rolling some balls up a ramp to score different amounts of points, another runner with sunburnt colors and misty markings walked up to them. He grinned with a fly kind of look.
“Hey there beautiful, want to join me for some fun?”
Before Cass could respond to the ridiculous flirting, Ember leaped around the pair, screaming her enthusiasm. Her antics called the attention of another puller nearby, a female of as much fur as Cass, with soft colors and eyes.
“You’re not here alone are you?”
Ember shook her head and smiled brightly, pointing to the other two.
“I’m here with Cass and uhh, uhh-” She was stuck on his name, but he smiled sweetly at her.
“Silvayne, my name is Silvayne.”
“Yeah, him! We’re gonna go play another game! Want to join us?”
The newcomer nodded, smiling softly. It was clear she was the motherly type, and looked at the enthusiastic chaser like one would a child.
“Sure, I’m Dhani.”
Cass rolled her eyes, it seemed Ember made it impossible to not gather people around. The little chaser led the trio away, pointing to a game where you threw balls to knock bottles down. The more bottles knocked down, the better the prize.
“Miss Dhani, you go first!” Ember smiled up at her, and Silvayne side eyed the shining puller.

“O-oh!! Of course, thank you little one!” She smiled sweetly, finding it extremely hard to resist the urge to ruffle her hair. But that would be a little bit too forward for someone she had just met, so she fought her inner self off and instead looked at the game in front of her. It looked like the name of the game was to toss bottles and knock them over to accrue points. Three balls, three bottles for a prize, or a very large prize in the event somehow that five bottles were tipped. Sounded easy enough! Dhani slid a couple coins over to the booth attendant for her ammunition, sitting back on her haunches and balancing on her foreleg while her free paw curled around the smaller ball. She let loose and threw it at one of the bottles, and to her amusement it toppled right over! Ember and Cass cheered, with the third a bit too distracted by Cass to notice until it was too late, not that it bothered Dhani in the least. Ember scurried over and tried to put her paws up on the counter to watch better, straining up on her tippy toes. “You got this Miss Dhani! One down and ah two to go!!” Her three tails wagged furiously as she awaited for the second toss, to which Dhani looked down at her, “You know, I think this one is actually calling your name!” To which the large puller placed the small ball in the chaser’s paws. It was still a bit awkwardly large, seeing how it was a puller that had started the game, but still Ember was happy and determined! She stuck her tongue out of the side of her mouth and attempted to do a very awkward double hand over the head throw.
Dhani just smiled and watched, happy to see such an enthusiastic little one having fun at the fair. She watched Ember release her throw, and much to her excitement it hit a bottle! But it was followed by her furrowing her brow, as the bottle didn’t move an inch. Her jaw clenched as she saw Ember’s excitement turn into a bit of confusion, and a bit of sadness. Do reos fair activities actually get rigged? Ember scratched her head while looking up at the large puller, “I think I hit that, didn’t I miss Dhani?” The little puller asked, absolutely sure she had hear the ball thunk off the bottle. She titled her little head and looked at the booth owner who didn’t even seem to be paying attention. Dhani grumbled, already knowing what was happening and not wanting the group to waste any more of their time. “Don’t pay any mind, Ember. It seems we found the rotten egg of the fair.” And with that she huffed, stepping down from the stand without even throwing the third ball. “Shame on you for robbing fun from these kind folks who have traveled so far..” She called to the owner, before turning and guiding Ember back to the group. “We ought to find a non-rigged game to play.”

Silvayne caught on pretty quickly, and looked at the downtrodden face of Dhani, and Ember who was winfally understanding. He looked over at Cass who narrowed her eyes, but she caught his meaning.
Ice sprang up behind the booth, covering all the bottles there, and then, she had it all shatter, destroying every bottle there. Silvayne cheered her, while Cass smugly grabbed a stuffed toy, the top prize, and placed it on Ember’s back. Silvayne stuck his tongue out at the booth attendant, who stood there flabbergasted, while even Dhani smirked.
“Shame on him indeed.” Cass said with a huff, her breath as frosty as the ice behind the booth. “We find any more, we take care of ‘em the same way.”
Silvayne had also moved behind the scenes, and handed Dhani back her coins. Cass was impressed and the group’s spirits were light once more as they continued on.
