Reoseans IncludedIniko 13582 | Radiance 12987 | Aither 14143

The small tyrian found himself squished up against the roaring crowds of the world fair. Radiance cursed to himself as he lifted a wing to let someone through, then awkwardly held the shimmering orange appendage in the air for a few seconds. Of course he shouldn’t have come on the first day of the fair! Bodies pressed against his sides as the many reoseans and humans pushed him forward in the flow. Radiance awkwardly stumbled to the side, towards a stall serving mountains of cotton candy to anyone that was able to stop for even a moment. The little lilac chaser’s butter yellow, pupilless eyes shone his way for a moment. Radiance finally dropped his wing back down to his side, grateful that it gave him a meager amount of room for a second. Radiance sighed. He stepped past the candy store, wishing he could stop his momentum and grab a fluffy cotton candy for himself.

A moment later,  two brown paws tipped with black like a pair of ankle socks roughly grabbed his sides and dragged him down an alleyway that Radiance didn’t even notice. It was somehow completely empty except for him and vayron. Blue eyes beamed at him.

‘Uh, hey?’ Radiance said. ‘Thanks for saving me from the crowd. I’m Radiance.’

When he first spied the tyrian in the crowd, Iniko felt his eyes drawn to the orange and cream patterns, and his paws moved him ever closer. Approaching the winged beast, he noticed how much smaller the other was upon first glance, possibly indicating a younger age or just some stroke of luck that could be seen as good or bad. Either way, it made the tyr more appealing, in what ways, Iniko couldn't tell.

The other creature that caught his attention was a purple chaser serving cotton candy. The appearance wasn’t entirely what caught his attention - no what drove Iniko to keep looking at him was his feathers that sprouted from his head. So exoitc, so fascinating. Iniko might have to approach him later, for now, he was paying attention to the tyr.

It was only the first day of the fair and Iniko was already up to mischief. The puller remembered the fun he had last year, and how many of the games he had already tried, so he was ready to get into the swing of things. He had no goodie two shoes hanging on his every breath this time, although he missed the company of Kona and Ember. Perhaps he would find them again this year.

The tyr who seemed to be growing more uncomfortable by the minute was already a target of his. At first he thought he might use the winged reosean to be a source of humiliation, tripping him up would be an excellent way to start the day and cause mass chaos. But as he approached, Iniko suddenly found himself with other plans as the sun beat down on them, becoming almost uncomfortable in heat with the mass of bodies that bustled around in a chaotic mess.

Extracting the tyr from the crowd wasn't entirely hard, and he introduced himself simply. Radiance. A beautiful name for a beautiful creature. He wondered what the feathered vendor was named.

"Iniko at your service. But don't thank me yet." His blue eyes held a sparkle as he twisted a paw with a flourish to accompany his words. "You look like the sort who might have fun doing some activities that might be frowned upon but would be great fun for you and I. Besides, there's too many reos and people alike here to enjoy all the things the fair has to offer today, so it'll give us something to do until a few of the clowns clear out. Sound good to you?"

His eyes kept darting to the purple chaser, and it was almost suggestive to the tyr without pointing him out directly. Maybe he would notice the feathered reo too.

Radiance thought about the proposal for a moment. Usually pranking wasn’t really his thing, but what was his thing hadn’t really worked out today. The large puller did pull him out of the crowd. A favour for a favour, perhaps?

‘As long as nobody gets hurt,’ Radiance replied.

‘Of course! How about this? I’ll let you choose the prank. As long as it’s fun!’ Iniko said.

Radiance nodded. ‘Acceptable,’ he said. He scanned the crowd, as thick as ever. Nothing could be planned there. It was moving too swiftly to trip someone up without the risk of an accident. Maybe a stall? The cotton candy stall caught his eye. A little lilac coloured chaser mixed the latest batch of sweets almost right next to them, his feathers bobbing in time with a quiet tune he hummed. He picked up the blue food colouring and added just a few drops into the batch. Soon the stall keeper was serving bubblegum blue cotton candy to his steady stream of customers.

‘See the cotton candy stall next to us, the way he’s colouring the batches? The colouring he’s using doesn’t really show up before he mixes it through. We could spike a batch with a colour or two, and watch his face when something meant to be green turns purple! Or brown!’ Radiance told his new friend.

‘Hmm, pretty tame. But he’s so busy he’d have no choice but to serve it! Bubblegum, orange coloured! I can imagine it just so,’ Iniko replied. ‘Let's do it.’

They watched the chaser for several minutes, getting a feel for his rhythms. It wouldn’t do any good to get caught before they’d even succeeded! They came to the conclusion that if they were quick, Iniko could duck up from behind the workbench and squeeze a colour into an unfinished batch between the chaser’s customers. With Radiance acting as a lookout, they did just that. After that, it was a waiting game.

While the prank was simple, and mostly harmless, it was still fun to mess with others. Iniko grinned, glad the tyr wasn’t a stick in the mud and at least came up with something. The purple chaser was a great target as well, small and distracted, a good plan to attack.

As Iniko snuck in to switch the colors, he also noticed some edible glitter as well, wondering what that was doing here and not at some sall doing fancy cupcakes or something. Oh well, he would just have to accidentally mix some of that into the bottles too. An extra flashy surprise.

He giggled to himself once he slipped away, looking for the Tyr that was serving as a sentry. Thankfully no one seemed to have gotten past his winged companion, and they should be in the clear.

What the pair didn’t account for was that the chaser’s pupiless eyes weren’t just some genetic thing, but he was actually blind! The customers were the only ones surprised when it was brought out to them completely the wrong color, just leaving their feathered friend confused and scratching his head, muttering something about how he swore he had the colors lined up properly. At least he was confused!

The child that was handed the sparkling brown cotton candy was dumbstruck as his friend joked about poop sugar. That was the comment that finally broke the damn, and Iniko’s laugh filled the alley they were hiding in, and he felt the mirth infectiously travel to his winged companion. He took one last gaze at the purple chaser who had called over some help while they inspected the bottles.

“That’s our queue to get going!” He nudged the tyr along, so maybe they’d find something else to do next.
