Tartarens

Existence begins when a Tartaren gathers a collapsing black hole, the p/n rip creates it's essence and the parent creates a superior copy of themselves. Often, they may opt to press an existing sun down into a collapsing black hole, if it's a sun that meets certain criteria. Tartarens are highly observant, they’re able to predict outcomes with great certainty. Before harvesting a sun, they consider the outcome of a system deprived of it’s warm anchor. With a few moments, they’re about to recognize signs of planets that may one day spawn life, and other planets that are barren or have had life once billions of years ago. If they see the system is one that’ll never grow, they’ll pluck its sun. 

Depending on the age of the sun used and energy used to form predecessors, A Tartaren can live from 10 billion years, to 800 billion years. If an immense amount of energy needed to boost a sun into a black hole, it could burn out a third of it’s life.
