A Cold Walk

Taking a deep breath of the icey cold air as he made his way through the winding streets, it had become a habit of a sort to go visit one of the few people Asterix considered a friend. Maybe even more, but he was left debating his feelings between his more fluttery heart and also his desire to touch those more feminine shapes that offered so much roundness to feel and enjoy. The fact that the cold winter air hung heavy wasn’t going to stop him either, if anything the warmth of company was more desired. He was young and full of debates, as his father kept telling him as he slowly became more comfortable after years of being rehabilitated to be more brash and confident in himself. It was steady progress from what he knew, deemed good enough to start taking over for his father and bossing around the underlings who listened well (usually anyways).

At the moment though, this was far behind him as he made his way to the upper class areas. An area that just walking into it you could tell was full of people with too much money to spend and snobby attitudes about how to spend it. Asterix was familiar with the area for business, it was full of greedy people who wanted that little bit more money and were willing to go to higher up groups and ask for it. For reasons he wasn’t sure of, but he lived a rather grounded life, full of sensible purchases and didn’t often buy more than what he needed. He wasn’t here for business this time, but pleasure as he wanted to see his friend that actually lived in this area.

Through the streets he went, hands stuffed deeply into his pockets as he finally came to the large metal gate that looked like a jail. It was very sturdy and hard to break, as he had learned when the gremlins Thatcher attracted tried to get to him inside, with barbed wire spiraled around the top so no one could hop or grab onto the top and pull themself over. It was working too, as a small gathering was outside and looking longingly in towards the white haired male who was sitting within the gate and just enjoying the fresh air for now.

Asterix squinted at them, knowing they were from the rivaling area, but this wasn’t his concern for now. Turning his attention back to the gate, he stared at it a bit more before lifting his leg up to stand on the support of the gate and just hopped over. He landed quietly on the other side, continuing towards his goal while the others could only watch as he roamed freely. He had places to be and someone to talk to, a rather pretty face he wanted to admire privately and debate did he adore him as much as he thought he did. His father was always telling him not to move too quickly, but part of him felt like it may be okay if he made a few mistakes along the way.
