“Tell me what I need to do.” Derek had his arms crossed as he made eye contact with the dewott. Sunny held his gaze but said nothing. Sure his trainer may have been starting to slowly win over the others but he wouldn’t budge. Derek sighed as he broke eye contact. Admittedly Sunny was slightly miffed that Derek had decided to drag him to the flower field of all places; there were far too many grass types for his liking. The only time he might tolerate coming here was if he was able to explore with Oasis; she was from here after all.

Though that wasn’t the case. He’d been brought out here without any of his other teammates being brought out. Honestly he wasn’t even sure if any of them had been brought along at all. “Look I’m trying.” The human placed his hands together and frowned. “What do you want from me? I can’t give you what you want if I don’t know what it is.”

Sunny scoffed and turned away. If his trainer had no idea of what he wanted then even trying to indulge this wasn’t worth his time. He walked through the patch of yellow flowers and went to look for that pond Oasis had told him about. Maybe he’d be able to visit here with her soon.

The dewott wasn’t shocked when he heard footsteps trailing after him. There was no need to even glance back, he knew Derek was following him. The field of yellow flowers transitioned into blue ones. They were nice, he supposed. Maybe he should take a few back for Oasis; she’d probably like them. Deciding to do just that he poked around looking for what he deemed as the best flowers.

As he searched he could feel his trainer’s gaze on him. Finally the human spoke. “What are you doing?” It wasn’t asked in a condescending way but Sunny shot him a glare anyway.

“Picking flowers. What does it look like I’m doing?” Sunny grumbled, turning back to his task.

There was wonderful silence for a moment before Derek broke it again. “Why?”

Sunny slapped his tail on the ground; he felt satisfied when Derek flinched. “You ask too many questions.”

Silence again. This time it lasted longer and Sunny enjoyed every second of it. He finally had what he felt like were enough flowers. Hopefully Oasis liked them, though he was fairly certain she would. She'd often said she liked the blue he'd gained from his evolution and these flowers were a very similar color. His self-inflicted mission complete, he wandered off to look for that pond again. Hopefully the flowers would stay nice long enough for him to even bring them back to Oasis.

Much to his annoyance his trainer seemed to follow him. Why couldn’t he just be left alone? What did the human think he was going to gain from following him? There was nothing he could say to Sunny that would matter.

“Are those for Oasis?” Sunny paused at the question and actually turned around to look at Derek. A slight breeze blew through the flowers and ruffled his fur. “Contrary to what you might think, I do pay attention to you all and what you do.” Derek crossed his arms.

Sunny turned to face him. Admittedly he was mildly surprised that his trainer had noticed. Even most of his teammates were unaware of his… fondness for the servine. Yet here Derek was correctly guessing the purpose of his flower picking. He tilted his head in contemplation. Finally he turned back to walk the way he’d been going. Just because his trainer was observant didn’t mean that he was worth listening to. He paused when he didn’t hear footsteps following him. A glance back revealed Derek looking at him with an odd expression.

Slapping his tail on the ground again to get his trainer’s attention he glared. Finally, after his face going through several emotions rather quickly, Derek began to walk after Sunny again. He turned back around and huffed. Yeah, he wasn’t worth the effort…
