For the first love flash prompt!

“No. That’s… that’s impossible. Fros survived the WAR. He… he can’t be gone!”

Tears streamed down Bylur’s face as his good friend stood in front of him.

“I just got word from poor little Barry. But good news, his core wasn’t shattered so he could still come back.”

“Juno, we both know that’s a long shot.”

His voice broke as he started sobbing over his lost love.

No longer would he feel the sweet taste of Fros’ lips upon his own, nor would he wake up and see the soundly sleeping face of his lover next to his own in the mornings.

Juniper stood by, it was true she had lost a friend and comrade, however, Callum had just lost his lover of many years.

“Callum? If there’s anything I can do to help you, please just let me know right away, okay?”

“I… I just want to be alone, Juno.”

She could barely hear him through his own gloved hands; but nonetheless, she softly patted his shoulder as she left.

Juniper frowned as she saw the state in which the heartbroken Sweetical had left his manor. She finally found him slumped in his chair.

“Bylur. Get UP this instance.”

He weakly looked at her but made no movement to get up. “What’s the point?”

“The point? Sir! The POINT is that Fros would be horrified to see that you’ve let it come to this.”

He glared and stood up.

“Don’t you make assumptions about what HE would want!”

Despite his rage, Juniper continued to literally look down at him.

“I’m glad that you’re up. Now let’s get you fixed up.”

He looked around confused as she led him to his bathroom, shoving him inside and shutting the door from outside.

“Go clean yourself up. I’m going to tidy your house. I enjoy snooping so you better not be long.”

He could hear the smirk on her lips as she spoke; although, he knew Juniper better than to think she was kidding.

When he found her, he discovered quite a few of the villagers helping her. She quickly noticed him and flashed one of her signature smiles.

“Wonderful, Bylur. Feeling better now?”

As much as he hated to admit it, he did feel better after getting her help.

After the grounds and his manor were cleaned up, and he had served the townsfolk a proper meal for helping, he and Juniper sat in his parlor.

“Thank you Juno. I suppose I needed to be brought back to my duties.”

“I would certainly say so. You were locked in here for nearly five hundred years.”

Hearing her speak, he nearly choked on his tea.

“I… I was in here, sulking, for FIVE HUNDRED years!?”

“Dear, you lost a dear lover. I would expect nothing less. And honestly, I said NEARLY five hundred years. Did you find it strange you didn’t know any of the townsfolk that helped today?”

She sounded so nonchalant as he blushed and grew flustered. “I uh.. truly wasn’t paying much attention at the time.”

“Such a poor host. Regardless, don’t disappear on those good people again.”

He nodded, a bit ashamed of himself before she motioned him to follow her.

“Now, I know that this can never replace Fros; however, it’s plain to see you need SOMETHING to make you get up in the morning so I convinced the townsfolk to give you a little something special.”

He could hear a soft ‘mooing’ as they approached a barn-like building on the property. He gasped when his eyes fell upon the small creatures in front of him, one pink and one white coacow.

“Juno! I absolutely love them. Thank you!”
