angel of chaos.
why jasmine is classified as an angel of chaos.
"I 'm scared and tired, " a soft yet broken voice from tears said.
the cherubim stood in front of the one that gave her life, hands clenched into fists so tight that knuckles turned more whiter than her ill-looking porcelain skin tone. her gaze was on the floor; specifically on the black dress shoes of her god. there was nothing but the sound of muffled tears that emitted from the angel. she waited for what felt like eternity for her god to say something, yet nothing would come out. she could feel his gaze on her, ash eyes intently on her pathetic state.
" If … If you aren't going tuh-to say anytthing .. I'll leave! " she shouted at the deity, eyes shutting tightly as tears continued to spill. again, she could only hear her sobbing, her breathing, and the god's own breath. lips trembled and quivered.
" Then leave, " he said. she instantly pulled her head up, her gaze meeting his own. she couldn't read any emotion on his face. nobody could read what his expression was anymore these days. " what .. ? " she stuttered, completely dumbfounded by his words.
" Leave, " he repeated, tone sounded more angerier than monotone. hesitating for a moment before she turns on heels and hurries out of the god's office. she paid no attention to her colleagues that looked in confusion. jasmine went straight out of the castle and took off flying, leaving what once was her home.
It felt like eternity before she found herself on a different world than her home.
it was far different. there were no rainbows, floating islands, or structures of different homes or houses. the only colors that seemed to surround this strange world were white and light yellow that pratically almost blended in with the unpigmented world. she gulped and hesitated before her legs moved, striding towards the stairs towards the castle. red eyes looked around, squinting slightly to adjust her eyes to hurtful colors.
stopping once she reached the doors, hands balling into fists as a hand lifts up for knuckles to knock against the white colored doors. retracting her hand away, it was only a few minutes before the doors opened. there stood a man with white feathers adorning lemon grass colored hair. he wore a chalk white scarf that had wings at the end, a tallow colored trench-like coat and black pants with black dress shoes. his expression was a happy one, eyes closed with a smile. they looked to the angel that stood still, as if he was able to see her through his closed eyes.
" Hello, little cherubim. What brings you here? " they asked, their head tilting to the side. a sweat bead dripped down her cheek as she stared up at him. " i .. i come from kumo-no-kuni .. i left there because of a war that had finished recently, " she replied, taking her time to speak. a satisfied hum left them.
" Is that so ? I could see how Fumus made you, fufu, " chirped the man. " I'm Justim, god of all gods ! Please, come in ! " he sang out, stepping to the side. that was .. easy, she thought. she entered into the castle, justim closing the door behind.
She would stay under Justim's care for the next few weeks.
one day, the cherub would be asleep in her temporary home before Justim came in, scooping the sleeping angel into their arms. he walked out of the castle, a finger poking her cheek to awake her. she opened her eyes, blinking before looking to justim.
" .. Lord Justim .. ? what's .. going on ? " she asked in a sleepy voice filled with concern. no words but a smile. she thought she had become used to it, but she found it more upsetting. all of a sudden, she was thrown out of the world.
just like that in a flash; thrown away like an old toy. she falls and falls before her wings spread open and catches her flight, flapping in mid air. her eyes are widen, swollening up with tears as she processes that she was kicked out from justim's world. sniffling as she begins to fly far to try and find another god willing to take her in as their angel.
each god she visits, she is betrayed and left to wander with no god to serve under. the only one that would kindly kick her out was a god named etihw. they gave jasmine a farewell, to which she did the same.
the cherub wanders the streets of ne-no-kuni, ignoring any judgemental stares coming her way due to the war that was .. how many weeks ago now? months, maybe? she couldn't really care. in the library, she wasted her time reading the books there, discovering a word or, well, term in one of the dictonaries.
ANGEL OF CHAOS ; an angel who has been betrayed by the gods.
it describes me, she thought. closing the dictionary, she placed it back in where she once got it. as she was talking to leave the building, familiar hair colors caught her eye. the colors of a dark purple grey and red undertones. no horns or wings adorned the man. he sat alone, focus on the newspaper that covered his face. she would notice some of the demons in giving the male frightful stares before looking away to the sound of shuffling paper from the news he held in grip.
she noticed head movement from him, realization setting in that she's been staring for too long. jasmine was quick to stop her gawking and leave the library, closing the door behind.
that couldn't have been fumus, she thought. needing to have a breather, she strided through the sidewalks of the devil's world. some of the demon children would ask her to play, which she would. feeling as if she had enough time down below, she would wander into the forest. she walked the path to where she would halt when just 5 feet away from the floating clouds that would be the stairs up to kumo-no-kuni.
her eyes widened as she stared at fumus, who seemed to know that she was coming. eyes land on the newspaper in his hand.
" couldn't even give your creator a hello? you only stared, jasmine, " he said in his familiar monotone voice. so she wasn't seeing things and he was really there at the library.
in a flash, the newspaper disappeared into grey smog. fumus opened his arms for the angel. she could only stare as tears swelled in her eyes. breaking into a full sob as she ran into his arms, embracing him as he embraced her back. her grip was tight and so was his. she wailed into his arms as he pressed his lips into her pink hair.
fumus scooped her into his embrace, his arms supporting underneath her rear. he turned to begin walking onto the floating clouds and into her home.
" Welcome home, Jasmine . "
