Pharaoh dashed through the air despite the protests from Derek below. She dove and wove through the flowers. "Pharaoh!" Her trainer yelled after her. With a quick circle around she moved back towards her trainer. She continued to dash around him, swiftly avoiding any collisions with obstacles or other pokemon. She finally came to perch on his shoulder and tilted her head at him innocently. She was well aware that he wasn't buys her act by the flat look he gave her. Well she couldn't help but try right? Even if it never worked. "You need to stop running off. You're going to get into trouble." He huffed. Pharaoh chirped at him and he frowned.

She turned away to preen her wing. "Well if you'd brought Chomps along you'd be having a better time." She mumbled into her wing. Usually her trainer didn't separate the two; he'd learned that it was better to keep them together by now. Though he'd taken her out to the flower field without the other this time. Something about wanting to see how she did solo. She didn't understand why that was so important really. As far as she saw there wasn't really going to be a situation where she'd be totally alone. She was capable enough on her own sure, but she liked to stay by the fuecoco's side.

"You need to not rely on him all the time." Her trainer sighed through her nose. "I've seen you, you're plenty sure of yourself." He gestured for her to get off his shoulder, she obliged and hovered in the air in front of him. She tilted her head in question. She was part of a team, shouldn't it be a good thing she worked well with others? That's more than could be said about some of her other teammates.

"I'm not relying on him." She huffed. "We just work well together."

Her trainer looked at her for a moment, likely trying to work out the gist of what she said. "You have to be able to stand on your own as well. I get that the only reason you followed us back was because of him but you can't let that connection define you." He started walking through the flowers. A slight breeze blew through the area that caused the flowers to move slightly. Pharaoh flew after him curiously. "Working with your fellow teammates is all well and good but what happens if you find yourself alone? Or being the last one standing?"

Pharaoh rolled her eyes. That would never happen. As must as she liked to boast about her own strength she knew that the majority of her teammates were far stronger than her. "That's unlikely to happen and you know it." She mover ahead and did a circle around her trainer's head.

"It's not impossible though." Derek said as he waved her off. "Just keep it in mind." He added on. "Now go look around. Let;s see what we can find. Meet me at the pond in a bit." Pharaoh nodded and took off. Maybe it was something to keep in mind...
