Author's Notes

I wrote this back in 2013ish: Here was my author note around then:

HomeStuck belongs to Andrew Hussie.

This is just a small Fan Fiction that has to do with my OC, and two of my friend's OCs.

Rave Club Euphoria is actually a memo on Pesterchum where Vexzin does work behind the bar. So that part is true, along with the grub and everything. So mostly everything is true- o3o. *Cough* Everything is true unless say I its not, or you ask or bark.

Oh and by the way- All RCE is- is just an RP Memo/group that I'm in on Pesterchum o3o

I hope you enjoy my short story as I did writing it~

Quick Vocab Translations/Help:

Moirail = Best Friend

Kismesis = Kinky ..lover(?)- both parties must hate each other just as much

Matesprite = Boy/Girlfriend

Vexzin sighed, working at the Rave Club Euphoria was tiring, especially when there was drama. Which was almost every day. She looked down to the grub that sat on the bar table, which trilled at her with a small smile, moving his front two hands up- asking for upsies. Vexzin smiled softly, looking down at him beneath her long bangs- which hid her eyes.

"A-Alright." She mumbled, and picked up the grub, which scrambled up her arm and went onto her shoulder, nuzzling her neck, causing her to break into a fit of giggles. "D-Dirtux.." She mumbled softly, petting his head, as he purred more.

"Hey! Squeaky." A voice different from the usual bickering and drama spoke to her, causing her to jump up a little and look up to meet her Moirail's eyes.

"A-Azaiah." She spoke surprised, and smiled softly.

"What? Surprised to see me?" He asked leaning over the bar cheekily. Vexzin shook her head softly in a small panic, she would have shook it more, but Dirtux was right there. She had to be careful around her grub.

"N-no. Not at all. You're just- I j-just. I d-didn't-" Vexzin stammered for words blushing a softy color of a dirty gold on her grey skin. Azaiah laughed softly and put a hand on Vexzin's head, patting it.

"I'm kidding, Squeaky. Don't worry about it." Azaiah said chuckling and ruffling up her hair a little. She patted it down when he removed it.

"H-how are you doing?" Vexzin asked perking up a little as she sipped at her apple juice box.

"I'm pretty good, except for the fact that that jerk ass Mathis fucking shredded my back." Azaiah mumbled in annoyance, flushing a soft brown on his grey skin.

Vexzin winced a little, still blushing. "Isn't that what a k-kismesis does..?" She said and set Dirtux down onto the counter, seeing as he was resting.

"Yeah, but it still hurts." He said crossing his arms with a small pout.

"S-Sorry.." Vexzin mumbled quietly. Azaiah shook his head and smiled.

"Theres no reason to be." He said and took the Apple Juice that she had been drinking from, and took a sip for himself.

"Hey!" Vexzin cried and reached for it but he floated up, she shook her fist at him, giggling a little. "Give it back." She whined opening and closing her hand in love for her Apple Juice.

The door to the club opened and shut, another person entered, though people always enter and leave. However this one Azaiah wanted to hide from. He flew up and hid behind the chandelier.

"Azaiah. Where did you go?" Vexzin asked looking around. She was only able to see with her shadows- and the light blinded her. She was supposed to be blind- but her shadows have a kind heart and let her see. Only in Black, White, Grey Scaled though. It didn't bother her though.

Since Azaiah was by the chandelier, which was on- Vexzin couldn't see him.

"Hello Vexzin." A smooth and polite voice spoke. Vexzin jumped up visibly and looked to it.

"A-Ah.. M-Mathis. H-hello.." She looked to him blushing softly. Yes, it was hopeless. She did have a small crush on him, but even with her Moirail's words of support she still didn't feel like a good chance for him.

"I heard you call for Azaiah, is he here?" Mathis questioned, taking a seat in front of the bar where Vexzin worked. She shook her head rapidly, taking the sleeping Dirtux and captchalouging him, since it seemed the most logical thing to do then leave him on a bar table.

"N-no. H-he's m-most definatly in n-no way at a-all here." Vexzin said shaking her head. Mathis smiled a little, telling instantly that Vexzin was lieing. She was an awful liar.

"Alright then. I'll take your word for it." He said smiling a little and fixed the tie he wore for a moment. "Would you mind making me your specialty tea, my dear?" He asked.

"Yeah. I-I mean no I w-wouldn't mind at all. Uh.. I-I.. er.. I'll start making it now.." Vexzin rambled and started to boil the water, and turned to him. "W-what are you doing here..?" She asked curiously.

"I just wanted to see your pretty face." Mathis spoke simply causing Vexzin to errupt in another blush.

"W-w-whats your real reason?" Vexzin asked turning so her back was to Mathis as she made him tea.

"That is my real reason." Mathis spoke furrowing a brow.

Vexzin poured the steaming water into the cup and dipped the Earl Gray tea steadily and turned to hand the tea over without a word. Still thinking to herself over and over and over- endlessly; 'I don't believe you'

She didn't believe anybody. Especially when they said she was pretty. Nobody has yet to see her eyes.. Her disgusting holes in her head filled with pure darkness void of emotion. It was revolting. She- She was revolting. She didn't even have eyes.. Her shadows ate them. But they let her see using them.. so she supposes its not that bad.

Vexzin's shadows just feed off of her- they eat her food, most of it. Though they stay away from holy kinds of foods- like Apples and Holy Water if it exists. She isn't sure but when she boils water, she can usually drink that. However she hadn't eaten in a while. In a long while.

She held out the cup for Mathis to take, feeling somewhat exhausted. She was so tired, yet her body felt so light.

"Vexzin, Are you alright?" Mathis asked taking the cup, causing the troll to jump slightly.

"I-I'm fine." Vexzin stuttered quietly, looking down, swaying slightly.

"Vexzin are you alright sweetie? You don't look so good.. and don't sound too well either.. a pretty girl like you shouldn't lie. Please tell me whats wrong." Mathis spoke

"I'm fine.." Vexzin murmured, ignoring the fact that Mathis called her some nick name.

"You don't seem like it. Please, whats wrong?" Mathis seemed to beg, while above in the air- Azaiah glared down at his kismisis in warning. Mathis knew he was up in the air, but didn't bother, his first priority was Vexzin.

"Its fine. D-Don't worry about me." Vexzin spoke shaking her head and smiled softly. "Your t-tea is getting cold." She warned, trying to change the subject.

"Vexzin dear, you're getting off topic. Please, tell me what's bothering you?" He spoke frowning, he was worried now, she didn't look too good.

"I'm alright. Nothing is wrong." Vexzin spoke her voice trembling slightly as if she would cry soon. In a blink of an eye Azaiah was hugging his moirail from behind, while glaring angrily to Mathis.

"You made her cry!" Azaiah yelled hugging her tightly. Most of the club became silent to watch. Not much drama ever happened revolving around Vexzin, so many people were curious to see what was happening.

"N-No.. He d-didn't do a-anything." Vexzin said and shook her head, her voice still shaky and she started to shake a little and covered what was visible of her face, to hide her expression. Azaiah spun her around and hugged her so she was hiding her face was out of view.

Azaiah knew saying anything hateful to Mathis would only make his Moirail upset, so he just worded hateful things with an angry glare that gave no mercy.

Mathis's eyes widened and raised his hands in silent surrender, wording that he hadn't done anything.

"Shh, Vexzin. What's wrong?" Azaiah asked softly patting her back as he hugged her tightly.

She didn't reply, and when he moved back to look at her face, he saw she passed out, drooling slightly as she slept. He looked at her with a very serious look on his face and back to Mathis. "She over worked herself." Azaiah spoke narrowing his eyes glaring to Mathis. "You made her pass out." He spoke angrily.

"I did not do anything to upset her." Mathis mumbled frowning. Azaiah glared down at his twin.

"She fainted! Of course you did something you dumbass!" He growled angrily.

"She was looking sick so I asked what was wrong with her." Mathis spoke defiantly.

"Squeaky, c'mon wake up." Azaiah said and took her to an unoccupied couch of the club, laying her down and patting her head. Mathis hopped off his seat and walked over to the seat, standing next to his twin.

"Vexzin dear, are you alright?" Mathis asked looking down at her unconscious form and sitting on the couch to Azaiah's  disapproval.

"Move! You're not her Moirail!" Azaiah said glaring harder at Mathis.

"I am still concerned for her." Mathis spoke narrowing his eyes ever so slightly. Azaiah narrowed his eyes.

"I don't know what your deal is with her, but if you hurt her. I'll hurt you, and not the good kind." Azaiah threatened seriously.

"I know." Mathis mumbled quietly, looking down at the tierd troll.

Azaiah looked to Mathis in silence for a few more moments before bending down and patting Vexzin's head softly. "Squeaky. It's probably not too comfortable to sleep on the couch here. I'm going to take you to your room, okay?"  Azaiah spoke, feeling her forehead which was the normal temperature. Vexzin didn't answer, but she was picked up and Azaiah started towards the stairs, when he heard footsteps behind him.

"Mathis, just say down here. You've caused enough of troubles as is." Azaiah spoke.

"I haven't done anything wrong." Mathis spoke standing straight.

"Fine.. but don't think that you're off the hook." Azaiah mumbled, carrying his moirail up the stairs, causing Mathis to sigh and follow after.

"Why are we climbing up the stairs again? When her room is on the Eighth Floor?" Mathis asked, a little uncomfortable by the number of stairs, when they could have, just as easily taken the elevator.

"We don't like elevators." Azaiah replied.

"We who?" Mathis asked.

"Squeak and I." Azaiah awnsered, and Mathis didn't bother to reply.

Soon they made their way to the eighth floor and Azaiah stood in front of Vexzin's door to her room. Mathis opened the door for Azaiah, and he entered holding his moirail.

"Squeaky. I'm going to tuck you in, and go get some food from the twins for when you wake up." Azaiah spoke, and placed her on the bed, tucking back the sheets and covering her with them. Azaiah looked to Mathis, who stood by Vexzin's mini fridge.

"What?" Mathis asked after a couple moments of silence.

"You had better not touch her while I'm getting her some medicine and food. Just make sure she stays asleep." Azaiah spoke narrowing his eyes to his twin and tucked Vexzin in, giving her a small plushie to hug in her sleep.

Vexzin mumbled something quietly and snuggled into it. Azaiah kissed his moirail on the head softly before walking out of the room, leaving his Kismesis with his Moirail.

Mathis looked down to Vexzin's sleeping form and sighed, leaning on the wall, crossing his hands and next staring up at the cieling.

"Vexzin.. What am I to do with you?" He asked quietly with a small sigh and moved over to her, hesitating for a moment before patting her head softly.

He leaned on the wall until Azaiah returned with the medicine and food, Vexzin was still passed out so Azaiah decided to converse with his twin for a while.

Though their conversations get nowhere.

"What the hell did you make her do to pass out like that?"

"I didn't do anything."

"You must have done something!"

"I've done nothing."

"Agh, you're annoying!"

"And you're the one on the bottom."  Azaiah blushed at that one.

"Shut up! You're going to wake her up." He defended.

"I'm not the one yelling, you are." Mathis spoke simply, rolling his eyes.

Azaiah went to respond but Vexzin was awake, wiping at her eyes tierdly. "D-do I see two people o-or is it just me..?" She whispered quietly, still holding the plushie in her arms.

"Squeak. Its just me and my stupid kismesis." Azaiah said and hurried over to her. "How are you feeling?" He asked, putting a hand on her forehead, moving her bangs slightly, causing her to close her eyes.

"F-fine.." Vexzin said pushing his hand away softly.

"You worried us, sweetie." Mathis spoke causing Vexzin to freeze a little and look to him, she had almost forgot that he was there, even though Azaiah had said he was there.

"T-there is no reason f-for you guys to be worried about me." Vexzin said and pushed herself up so she would sit up.

Azaiah put his hand on her shoulder, helping her up. "Of course there is, Squeaky. After all I'm your Moirail, and you're important." He said smiling down at her.

Vexzin blushed softly, and Azaiah patted her head. "I'm not that important." Vexzin mumbled scratching the back of her head awkwardly. Azaiah did a silly face and Vexzin couldn't hold it in and giggled.

"Good. I like it when you smile." Azaiah spoke smiling back.

"You're the best moirail ever." Vexzin said giggling more.

"Do I have a mirror on my face, Squeaky?" Azaiah spoke giving a cheeky grin. Vexzin laughed a little.

"Lets just say I fogged it with my breath."

They both laughed at the inside joke, and Mathis smiled a little from the background, enjoying seeing Vexzin happy.

"You're feeling better?" Mathis interjected, causing Vexzin to jump slightly and look to him with a nod.

"A-A lot better. Sorry to worry you. I'm good now." Vexzin said smiling. Mathis nodded and smiled a little back.

"I'll give you two a few minutes." Mathis spoke and left the studio bedroom.

Vexzin looked to Azaiah quietly tilting her head a little, as if asking what just happened. Azaiah patted her head softly.

"He likes you, and he's just jealous of me." Azaiah said smirking. Vexzin tilted her head the other way, asking again, Why? "Vex, face it. He really likes you." Vexzin looked down, but this was the hundreth time that they've had this conversation.

"W-What am I supposed to do..?" Vexzin asked quietly.

"Talk to him about it." Azaiah said smiling and pushing her out into the hallway to converse with his Kismesis.

Mathis stood leaning on the opposite wall of the hallway. Vexzin stumbled slightly and looked to him, her eyes still covered by her bangs.

"U-uh.." Vexzin mumbled, unsure of how to start.

"Hm?" Mathis asked, looking to her.

"I er.. I w-wanted to er.. ask y-you a question.. b-but it m-might be embarassing.." Vexzin mumbled looking down.

"Thats fine. What is it, sweetie?" Mathis asked, giving her the full attention.

"Er.. A-Azaiah s-said that you liked me." Vexzin spoke, and it hung there awkwardly for a few moments before Mathis absorbed it and blushed a soft brown color. Vexzin instantly regretted it when he hadn't said anything for a couple of moments.

"I-I'm sorry. Y-you don't have t-" Vexzin was going to go onto her usual rant, of how he didn't have to awnser it, but Mathis inturuptted.

"I do."

"W-wh-"

"I like you, Vexzin." Mathis said looking to the side a little, but kept his gaze on her.

She blushed a little and looked down, unsure of what to make of the words. She didn't notice Mathis closing the distance bettween them with a couple of strides, and the kiss was quick that it left her dazed- unsure if it even happened.

"There's my proof." Mathis spoke and looked down at the smaller troll, who blushed harder. She would have fainted if it weren't for the slow processing going on.

"M-Mathis..?" Vexzin asked quietly, gesturing for him to lower himself ever so slightly, as if she wanted to whisper something into his ear. He did so, and instead of whispering into his ear, she kissed his cheek quickly. "I-I like you too.." She mumbled quietly, moving away quickly, playing with her hands, timidly.

Mathis blushed, blinking for a moment. "T-thats great." He stuttered for a moment in shock.

Vexzin giggled to herself for a moment, smiling down at the ground.

"Whats so funny?" Mathis inquired.

"I have r-red feelings for m-my Moirail's Kismesis.." She said smiling up to him. Mathis smiled softly back.

"I suppose I have red feelings for my Kismesis's Moirail."
