Mandragora could feel the blade enter the heart. The slight hint of resistance as the muscle was pierced. She couldn't help it; she smiled. She wouldn't have long now; the Khinari captain was smart enough to kick her off when the fatal blow was struck. They were both going to die now. The wind howled and the ground looked so close now, and Mandragora was sore. Adrenaline stopped the worst of the pain as her body connected with the ground. The cracks sounded in her ears, she had heard the sound was the worst part about someone falling from great heights. She had to agree.

Pet had fled from the battle, but a tug on her ear let her know she wasn't alone. The Mustori had come back, trying to get her to get up. It was a trick she had practiced with him many times. To wake her up when she passes out from wounds or if there was danger around. She couldn't move to comfort her closest companion, her only one. The She-Aelf gave a small whisper of "Good boy" to reassure him. But she still couldn't move. She would just close her eyes then. She'll take a short nap, she'll get back up soon. Hopefully.

But in the brain of the trained killer, the one who knew how much punishment a body can take before failing. She knew she would die. She was content at least, and so in the last moments of her mortal life, Mandragora finally relaxed. While a storm rolled in above, and lightning struck.
