A Peaceful Night?

The sun dawned while StarStruck walked through the forest on the gravel road while the sun harshened as it was close to setting. She continued prancing on the gravel road with every step she took, dust emitted from the ground. The only sound that could be heard is the distant sound of birds chirping and a river flowing throughout the land. It was a very peaceful morning as StarStruck was walking at a slower pace enjoying the view and the cool weather. She sighs a little while looking around feeling the wind brushing against her fur coolly.

She then saw a bench on the way back home and took a seat on it. She was pretty high up in the mountains now, the bench even gave a good view which she looked around for quite awhile. After about 30 minutes had passed, the sun was starting to set and she finally got back up onto the ground. She then started to continue down the path a little bit quicker now, it seemed like she was starting to get a little scared. Her pace transitioned to more of a jog trying to get out of the woods. Dust emitted from the gravel once more as she jogged with hesitancy while trying to get back to her house. StarStruck was very terrified of the dark and the many creatures that lurk within it.

In the distance the distant sound of a Owl howling can be heard, she stops in her trail which causes her to freeze up frightened. She finally then sees a house in the distance, she was getting close to coming home. Though once she saw the house, a rustling bush could be heard on her right. She turned her head anxiously looking at it for a second. Red eyes peered out at her, she gasped a little and started sprinting as fast as she could home. Footsteps could be heard after her as she tried to get away.

She finally got to the door out of breath, she opened it frantically and closed the door locking it shut. She looked out her window looking to see what was chasing her, but nothing was there. A little bit of sweat ran down her fur as she tried to recover from the experience. But whatever it was will probably be back…her thoughts trailed everywhere trying to figure out what the creature was, a wolf, a bear? Shivers trailed down her spine as turned on her fireplace just trying to get some ambience going on to drown out the silence. Though who knows…the paranoia of the dark can drive someone to the brink of insanity. Whether the creature was real or not, the dark is always hiding something…
