:EDIT: swapped some language around to fit Surge's new canon design

Kraken descended the floors of the Nemesis, pushing along a heavy dolly holding stacked energon cubes. It was quite a substantial amount, holding more than multiple of astroliters of liquid energon as Kraken came to a stop at a door nearing the very bottom of the ship.

A lot of 'cons didn't dare come down here, besides the unstable environment of overworked generators and questionable safety standards to exist in the area, there just wasn't much to do down here.

Kraken didn't mind and that was preferable in the long run for him, especially since he did come down here for a single purpose. A few loops and turns to a condemned storage unit. His servos detaching from the bar of the pushcart to crank the rusted pulley system to force it to open since it no longer seemed to function on power.

Kraken getting only so far before having to resort to using his strength to force the doors open the rest of the way, stepping inside to fiddle with a nearby strip siphoning from the generator to light and heat up the room.

The worn lights buzzing before flickering slowly to life, showing just how huge the unit was, forgotten containers filled with emptiness and other useless discarded scrap. This would be an understatement though, a low wheezing coming in the farthest corners of the room as a tarp shifted, large squeals of metal claws digging past the scrappy flooring.

Kraken wasting no more time to push in the big cart of fuel and use its perimeter to block the door as he held his digits to his mask, making a low clicking noise to alert the beast lurking in the distance.

"Surge, come here. I have nutrients for you, dear."

'Dear' was such a sweet word to come from Kraken of all mechs, but at least it was brought up in full authentication.

That specific cue in noise and voice seemed to resonate and with a well timed gurgle as Surge registered somewhere in his processor of what was occurring as he pulled himself up from under his tarp, using it as a sort of makeshift cover to be 'safe' as he knew in another part of his mind that was important for survival.

The huge automaton slow and wavering on his only means of movement but using the combined strength to start to drag himself closer towards Kraken. The purple mech watching and making silent notes in his helm as he watched Surge put forth energy just to approach.

Kraken could have brought it closer to not strain the big fella but Surge was needing work on the complex connection in his arms, being notably one of the only parts of him that wasn't wires and mesh.

He was a huge mechanical monstrosity hodgepodg’d from leftover parts and specific salvage that Kraken saved from deceased autobots mostly wrought from his care. The wiring being easiest to maintain with limited input and fuel, as well as in surplus for spare parts. It connected and held together up to his spark chamber which protected his unique spark-bonded life, a cluster unlike a normal single one.

That wasn't his most prominent feature however, besides the metal clad arms, wires twirling into a warped depiction of a cybertronian sliced in half with no legs to speak of, and even his glowering sense of a lifecycle, it was his facial region that was the most unique.

It was not one but two melded messes of facial plating from proper deceased autobots, the most defined in their features since they weren't made by hand but pulled straight from a former online source. The faces twisted into a mix of complete anguish and unaware neutrality. That was not only the most unusual but also the most horrifying.

Surge finally had dragged his whole frame across the ground, huffing and letting off steam for a quick break as his engines clopped at trying to keep up with his effort. His arms twitching as they reposition idly to prop him up in front of the decepticon.

He was enormous, even for a mech like Kraken who was more on the towering side of things. A pure result from his accumulated mass as Kraken added more parts to help him run efficiently. His presence holding a looming quality, to most anyways, Kraken didn't see Surge as terrifying but looked upon him with pride and tenderness.

"There you are, Surge. You've made acceptable progress on your crawling abilities."

Both of Surge's 'faces' made different attempts at moving their jaws or optics, none of the emotions displayed being true to life more than the ones that seemed docile and dissociative. That being said, every move emitted from the faces was a lot to view if you didn't have a strong stomach.

Surge made a soft hiss, not of aggression, even if he was capable but drawn out and lazy as his optics blinked at different times. It was simply a gesture to reply to Kraken, the other mech made a noise so he made one back.

Kraken's audials tilting back and forth a few times happily, turning slightly to pat the top of the stacked cubes.

"I brought you some energon for your weekly intake. Can you show me your proper tank port?"

Surge definitely didn't understand any of that but Kraken simply spoke his usual speech to familiarize Surge with cybertronian language. His movements slowed in the blurred vision of the behemoth as Kraken reached over to tap twice at a quadron on the left side of his composed chassis.

This seemed to get a reaction from Surge who halted his labored fans for a nanocycle before seeming to understand as he slowly lowered himself, twisting his body around to lay partly on his side and use his arms to lessen the burden of his weighted figure of a chassis.

His pistons clicking with soft puffs of steam as he relaxed, Kraken kneeling slightly to move the springy wires out of the way and find the port that led to a tube connected to his intake. Surge wasn't stable enough to be able to swallow through one of his maws, and Kraken didn't want to risk choking which could compromise some of the work he had done for so long just on Surge's evolution.

Kraken opening his side compartment, pulling out a medical grade IV tube, thicker than usual to compliment Surge's side as he grabbed a cube to put down, poking one part of the tube through the top to let it attach before clicking the opposite end onto the port, screwing it clockwise to be sure it was hooked up appropriately before twisting a lever on the top to open a valve and let energon start to flow into Surge's system.

A gentle servo rubbing his side as he laid there, his wheezing lessening a bit as he was fed. Kraken having to keep discarding the empty cubes and replace them. It took so many just to fill up Surge's tank, and Kraken was definitely paying for the extra rations all for him.

Surge emitting some sort of rumble, electricity running through his wires much like the energon in his tubes as Kraken closed his optic, audials back before snapping back up as he nodded at him.

"That's a good predacon, Surge. We'll be done soon, just stay very still for me."

Surge huffing out a gurgle, stray bits of coolant leaking out of his mouths before trying to turn as Kraken pushed firmly to keep him still, seeming to get what he wanted as he shifted over to sit in front of his faces with his cube set-up, still moving them around.

"What is it, Surge? You got something to say to me?"

Kraken had been versing more simplified speech the best he could for Surge, so he could understand somewhat better, but it was a struggle sometimes to shift between his usual spiel of big wording.

Surge's faces trying to focus most of their attention on Kraken, the purple mech giving him extra time to consider and figure out what he was trying to do.

He could recognize both of the facial plates on Surge, after all, you do tend to remember when you have to skrimp an autobot's helm for parts and very precisely.

Surge finally just letting his helms softly fall forward, Kraken holding onto a few of them as their optics blinked slowly and reacted to how close his servos got to them. Kraken keeping that in mind as he closed his optic and just pressed his mask against one of the chins, making a soft click with his glossa as a kiss for the beast.

"Mmh, my gorgeous creation... Such a fine specimen you are, Surge. Let me adore you..."

His servo softly petting the metallic helms, very soft as Surge rumbled a bit louder, claws twitching and moving slowly to scrap on the ground again, close to a knead motion as he enjoyed the attention and did his best to show it as he became more capable of emotion and gestures.

Kraken couldn't deny to himself in any universe that he cared for Surge, so much so that he sacrificed some parts of himself in the process just to repair and improve the mismatched mech. It was those parts being inside of Surge that made him so much more important and close to Kraken.
