The Trickster Witch

Once, as the world was growing, there was a witch known throughout the land as the trickster witch. The trickster witch, Suzanne, lived up to her name. She would create all sorts of trouble, turning a crocodile into a giant roach to man's spine into seaweed. Nobody found these tricks to be funny-- only Suzanne did. Because of this, everyone in the land stayed away from her. Except... for one naive and lovestruck man.

There was a man who fell in love with Suzanne, and gave her all sorts of treasures he would find, such as smooth pebbles and beautiful roses. It was unknown if the woman actually loved the man back, however in the next spring, they had married.

Their married life was simple, and the man loved the witch simply. Soon, they had two sons, which were named Clemex and Gauge. They had the traits of their mother and their father, and were loved by both. Time went on, and the witch was carrying their third child. And they were all a happy family.

Time went on, and Suzanne, perhaps got a little bored. And one day, her husband came back very late from another woman's house, with sugar in hand.

Suzanne suddenly threw a fit at her husband, and her husband did not understand. She said he had went out and cheated on her, and he  denied it, for he would never do such a thing. He tried to explain how he got lost looking for someone to buy ingredients from, how the next house over was very, very distant from them. Yet, whatever words he said were useless, for Suzanne decided to do a spell. She sentenced her husband to another dimension-- to be trapped in a small room, where even Suzanne had never been. And so, with their two boys watching, their father had disappeared with screams of agony and horror.

Suzanne turned around to the boys, and claimed how it was right for her to do it. Of course, she kept from them that she needed someone to test out a new spell, and little children wouldn't work, and how the closest house with people in it lived very, very far away.

Time went on, with Suzanne and the boys. She gave birth to a beautiful girl, who looked almost just like her mother. The witch loved her daughter very much. As for her two sons... Suzanne was annoyed with them. Every time she cast her eyes on them, they always had some feature that reminded her of her husband. It was disgusting.

And time went on again. Her two sons reached the age where they explored love, and both fell in love. Suzanne found this annoying. She also created a new spell, which she wanted to try out, but would never ever do it on her beloved daughter. And so, as punishment for their annoying love stories and their disgusting looks that reminded her too much of her husband, Suzanne had banished the ability to love from her to sons, Clemex and Gauge. They had lost the ability to love another human. Their hearts, became isolated from humanity, almost mimicking their mother's love for others.

The accounts of the trickster witch ended as her sons departed on their own paths. For all we know, she lived with her daughter, raising the girl in love. The daughter would carry on the blood of the witch to generations, while the sons would toil and rot for eternity.
