**Daily Task - Write about your characters day :**

Sage was new to the area, he had just moved in and wanted to get a look around. He had moved here for work as a marine biologist, after all he was a water nyanarr and loved to work with the different sea fauna, especially the turtles. He knew this area would be the best place to study and further his research. It had a lovely marine port, which was the first place that he made his way towards. When he got there he took a big, deep breath. The fresh saltwater scent was such a lovely smell, compared to the city smog he had been around for his studies. Sage propped himself against the pier, his little tail flicking in the wind while he stared aimlessly out towards the ocean. He couldn’t wait to see what awaited him. He could see out in the distance the fin of either of a dolphin or shark, it just barely broke the surface before finally revealing what it was, a pod of dolphins. His eyes lit up while watching them, it was such a beautiful sight and a great way for him to start his day.

After that Sage decided it was best to start exploring the town, he wanted to take in some of the local food and see if he might be able to get some local information on places that would be nice to visit. There was a small fish market. While he did not take part in eating sea life, other than seaweed, which was his absolute favorite treat ever, he knew that the fishermen might be able to give him some information on places to start his studies.

There were quite a few people that handed him some information, one saying the caves might even have some undiscovered animal life, which really piqued his interest. On the other hand an older nyanarr waved them off, telling Sage how it was all old tales that those caves were dangerous. ‘She might be right,’ he thought but he had to at least try and explore them. He couldn’t imagine finding some undiscovered creature and maybe even naming it after something or someone. That’s when another older nyanarr spoke up, talking about the caves being haunted.

Sage was a little spooked by this information, but again the older lady patted his back and out of nowhere she handed him a treat of candied seaweed. ‘Now laddy, that’s more of a tall tale than the creatures.’ He nervously laughed while taking the treat, a loud crunch as he nodded his head, “Yes yes, of course. Who believes in ghosts right?” This made the little old lady laugh as she said “I never said they’re not real, just not in the caves.” Before the young nyanarr could question her, she made her way off.

After having this time in the fish market, he finally decided he wanted to go look around a bit more. Poor Sage was a bit confused, before he got to the middle of town, of course noted by the statue of seafaring nyanarr. He didn’t know who it was, but it had to be someone important for them to build this statue. While still crunching on the candied seaweed he turned, looking at all the city buildings. He was a bit overwhelmed, but there was a small sigh of relief once he noticed that he wasn’t lost like he had thought. His small apartment was just right down the street. He had just decided that there had been too much excitement for him today. Ghosts, seaweed treats, new creatures and a pod of dolphins. At least he had met a few new people, even if they weren’t considered friends just yet.
