2022 MYO Contest Entry
This was the story portion of the MYO contest that I never uploaded!
Most stories begin with 'Once Upon a Time', giving us a sense that this is a fairy-tale of the past long gone. But what of the stories of the present? Of the future? Do they not hold as much magic - if not more, being so current as they are- as the stories of eld?
Most creatures in this land have a sacred charge. Whether it be guarding a fortress, or making parcel deliveries, each and every soul finds a way to contribute to the quality of life for the sphere and the people who live within it. So what, then, is the purpose of something so spiteful, so evil?
… Can something so young and new to this world truly be so evil? Ember, as he has been called by those who have turned their noses up at him, may seem like a typical villain; he’s a dragon after all, and quite the grumpy looking one at that! But underneath that layering of crystal and fluff, he’s simply a Jolleraptor with a dream; a dream to protect what he cares about, with all his heart.
He’s simply a dragon looking for his princess.
