testing out character interactions and dialogue... small note for reference: cordelia, liah, and cord all refer to the same person! cord is just her hero alias

Ugh... Primrose was slowly waking up. It didn't take very long for her to notice she was in an unfamiliar place. It was a dark room that seemed to be completely empty. All that was in the room was the chair she was tied to. She squirmed in it and found it was surprisingly comfortable. From the looks of it, she was being kidnapped. This was both exciting and scary to her, in a weird way. Liah never let her get close to the action before. A twinge of sadness rushed down Prim's spine thinking about her. "It's all gonna be fine," she tried to assure herself. If she could prove herself and make it out of here, surely her mentor would come back to her senses and respect her. Her thoughts were interrupted when a bright flame suddenly illuminated the other side of the room. “Hello there.” It was Blaze. His glowing hair flickered, resembling a real flame, and he had his usual smug look across his face. This was Prim's first time ever seeing him face-to-face. She'd seen him all over the news, of course, and caught glimpses of him from a distance, but seeing him up close was not an experience most people would ever get. "You're pretty happy for someone who's being held captive," said Blaze, looking down at her. Prim didn't realize how tall he was before. He must have been around six feet tall, and quite slender. Blaze leaned over so their faces were close to each other. His eyes were a bright orange, and they were almost sparkling. In all honesty, she was relieved he was her captor, as there were worse people in the world to get kidnapped by. But at the end of the day, this was still a dangerous maniac who did whatever the hell he felt like. Not to mention, he was Cordelia's biggest enemy. Prim couldn't let her guard down. “Anyone home?” Blaze knocked on her head, startling her. “AAAHH!!” “Woah! I know you must be a big fan and all, but I didn't expect that kind of reaction!" Prim could feel her face getting hot. So much for not letting her guard down. "I..." "It's alright, I understand. You're in awe! It's a shame you feel you have to repress it because of Cord. But it's alright, we're alone now!" Primrose just stared at him in disbelief. WHAT?She couldn't even find anything to say in response. Blaze continued. "Here, I can do you one better. I'll tell her FOR you! This way, you won't have to hide your veneration for me!" He pulled out a sparkly pink phone case that Prim recognized to be her own. "DON'T DO THAT! HOW DID YOU GET MY PHONE?" She began to freak out. It was obvious that Blaze was exceptionally clever when he wanted to be. She didn't know how he knew she had ties to Cord, or how he even kidnapped her. He chuckled. "You were out like a light! The tranquillizer was a very small dose, yet you slept for three hours straight!" Three. Hours? She glanced at her watch. 4:37 pm. Three hours ago would have been roughly at 1:40... Oh no. Oh god, what would Liah think? Prim had been on her own for one moment and she'd already managed to get herself kidnapped, and by her worst enemy! Her mind started racing again. She had to get out of here NOW, before Cord would have to swoop in yet again and rescue her. If that happened, Prim would just be showing yet again how incapable she was. She shifted in the chair yet again, trying to wiggle herself free from the duct tape. It would take a lot of serious effort to rip off tape this strong. Prim glanced back up at Blaze. He was watching her phone with a sort of impatience. “Um... You heard anything back yet?” she asked. “Looks like it's your lucky day, she's left us on read,” Blaze replied, his eyes still on her phone. Prim took the opportunity to try harder to loosen the tape wrapping her body. “How about we try calling her?” Prim had stopped paying attention, focused on getting herself free. “Mhm, sure...” She was starting to get impatient. Ring... ring... Her waist began to hurt from all the tugging and pulling she was doing. Wait. What? Was he CALLING CORDELIA? “You can try to get out of that chair all you want, but you're not going to-” Blaze started. Prim had managed to stand up awkwardly with the chair still tied to her. Without thinking, she barreled herself into him. They, along with the chair, crashed ungracefully into the ground. Ouch. Ouch. That hurt. A lot. The only cushioning she had for her fall was Blaze, who, from the looks of it, was now knocked out. He must've hit his head pretty hard on the fall. Prim actually felt kinda bad. Focus! She still had get out of here. She slid off him and struggled to get the chair off her. She couldn't manage to get her torso to rip the tape binding her to the chair, but at least she could get her hands and legs free from one another. Then, with all her strength, she pulled her arms and torso apart, tearing the tape and chair off her. Prim painfully stood up, struggling to maintain her balance. She caught sight of her phone laying on the floor. It had stopped ringing. Did they break it during the fall? As she reached out to grab it, a notification popped up on her phone. 1 new message from Liah. Prim's heart dropped, and she hesitated to pick it up. “You're much smarter than you seem.” Blaze was standing over her. Prim screamed and fell back onto the ground. Blaze laughed. “Look, we don't have to do this. How about we just chill and hang out for a while? The two of us could play board games!” His grin was starting to terrify Prim. Why was it just now that she was starting to become scared of him? “I...I know your whole thing is making Cordelia angry, but,” Prim said, breaking eye contact. “Please, just let me go. I can't look at her again. I can't show her again just how incompetent I-.” She saw the message from Liah. 'Pretending to be Blaze, really? Primrose, we can talk when you want to be an adult-' Tears began to well in her eyes. The realization that Cordelia wasn't even going to attempt to come to her rescue was Prim's breaking point. She couldn't do anything. She was useless. Prim threw her phone to the ground, it landing over to where Blaze stood. He picked it up. "I... I am worthless, aren't I? I don't even have powers, I can't even fight for myself!" Prim's voice wobbled as she struggled to hold back her tears. She could tell he was standing right in front of her, but didn't have the courage to look up at him. "Well, this is no fun." Blaze muttered under his breath. "Alright, up, on your feet. You have more dignity than that, don't you?" Upon hearing this, Prim burst into tears. ”Ah, shit.” He crouched down in front of her. ”Listen. You're certainly not going to get yourself anywhere with that kind of attitude. Now why don't you stand up and show me what you're made of? Look, I won't use my powers. We'll just have a genuine fight.” That mischievous, terrifying smile was still on his face, and he extended a lanky arm towards her.
