Born to a pack nestled deep between the evergreens and mountains of the northern-most coast, Ikaros grew shielded and sheltered. Never a dull moment nor empty stomach was known within the kingdom of ____ for their wolves were largely numbered and widely skilled. A thriving pack known among the land who showed no hardships; a sturdy stone unable to be toppled.

Born as a precautionary heir; Not first, but last to his parents; Ikaros felt content living within the shadows casted by his sibling’s legacy. Dutifully and attentive was ____ to the teachings- a bred and born acolyte, but Ikaros was not. He was a boy- too soft-hearted, who sought to spread his wings from the ruling class in favor of befriending those regarded as commoners, a decision which cost him gravely in the eyes of his elite.

But for all his effort the young prince found himself walled off not only from his own, but the lower class who toiled to provide the gold spoon upon his tongue, a group who saw him not as one of them, but as a leech parading in poor taste. Cast between the sovereign and commoners, Ikaros found himself lost within the rocky waters of relations that seemed so much like the waves against their cliffs- and so he resided in the shadows befitting of his complexion; A silent wallflower growing within the crack of foundation. A ghost of himself.

But fate saw fit to bestow upon The Boy’s future. A reward- albeit ugly, arose one night;  sickness came upon the wind which to the dismay of others,  reduced the elder brother’s body to a tomb touched by death. A tithe that shook the elite, their structure, and the kingdom to it’s core.

Ikaros, forced to take his brother’s place had ascended to the throne only to be shackled into the light he sought so hard to escape. Too young and inexperienced, he was unable to maintain a balance between the two classes and soon hardships would come and with little resistance they made home within the splitting cracks he once found comfort in.

Under him, the wolves knew no structure. They went unfed, borders unchecked, and punishers free. The child prince, now crowned king knew not of solutions, and buckling under the weight of the gold crown the once great and impenetrable kingdom began to show its wear.

What little remained was taken in the night. The commoners, having no option but to parish or join the invading forces, allied to overthrow the elites and Ikaros having no choice, fled with melting wings.
