We aren't going to talk about how long it took me to figure out how to spell 'Decision'

"Don't make me do this!" The she cried, the noise of the surrounding cats nearly overtaking her own. Infront of her, her brother shook his head, standing his ground to the young she. "I don't want to have to hurt you" She pleaded, taking a small step forward. As she did so the tom took a step back, tears springing to his eyes.

"Why? Why are you doing this!?" He yelled, taking another step back as Moon'Paw inched closer, her unsheathed claws making deep indents in the ground below her. He looked around him briefly, staring at the surrounding fight with wide terrified eyes. Around him his friends fell to the ground, killed by those who they used to be so close to. How could this be happening? How could Star'Clan let this happen? He shook his head, returning his focus to the small grey she who was crouched infront of him, her fur raised angrily and her face a fight between grief and anger. "I-I just don't understand, why are you doing this?"

"Because I have to!" she shook her head, pinning her ears, "This clan needs to be renewed, it's for the better!"

"Your killing your friends!" Sun'Paw yowled, his voice breaking, "How is this for the better? HOW COULD THIS EVER BE FOR THE BETTER?"

Moon'Paw stepped forward tears springing into her own eyes, "please, just...just join me, I might be able to convince True'Star to let you-" she swallowed, reluctantly finishing the sentence, "-live". She shook her head, erasing any thoughts of doubt in her mind. "Please, I don't want to kill you"

Sun'Paw lifted his chin, staring down at the young she. Moon'Paw watched as tears slid down his fur, wincing as he struggled to keep his composure. "I would sooner die then betray my clan," he sobbed, trying and failing to keep his voice strong

"please" she whispered, holding out a paw.

Sun'Paw looked at the paw, his eyes gliding over them slowly, before he looked up, staring deeply into Moon'Paw's own. "I-I'm sorry.., I can't"

Moon'Paw looked at the young tom for the last time. Watching as the sun caught his tears and made his eyes glow like the gold Star'Clan crafted them with. She remembered how her mother would boast to the other queens about his eyes, how they were bolder then a sunset and clearer then the sky during Dry'Leaf.

And it was for one final moment that Moon'Paw remembered just how much she cared for her brother, just how much he cared for her, before she leapt forward, claws outstretched, and ripped her paws across the toms face.

She ignored the toms screams of pain, the way his paws sprung to his bleeding eyes, as she reared back to do another attack, this time her paws finding their way to his exposed neck. She ignored the look of the toms face as he crumpled to the ground, his paws moving from his eyes to the thin line of red that grew quickly as time passed, the cut on his throat producing beautiful red bubbles that produced a rainbow of colour when they popped. She ignored the tom as he searched for her one final time, just as he did as a kit when she fell into the tree stump. She ignored him when he started pleading to their mother, begging her to help him like she promised she would. And she ignored him when he finally grew silent.
