The Public Powers Record

Traerough-Aragos University was the first college to consider arcana as an officially recognized science. Dr. James Hall became the first director of the TAU Arcane Sciences Research Center in 1991. The TAU ASRC’s latest project is currently a public, free-to-use collection of powers that our scientists have studied from volunteers’ DNA and display of their powers. The Public Powers Record (PPR) is lead under the direction of Dr. James Hall and Ms. Layla Williams with assistance from Professor Hayden Edwards. These files are published and easily accessible to the public after review and final edits from Dr. Hall.

A power is defined as a genetically passed-down ability determined by the genes around the ARCYN gene. Any other form of arcana or any “power” that was modified or created artificially is not a power and will not appear in these files.

A talent is defined as the ability a guardian has to protect their human. Although the two are very similar in concept, powers and talents are not interchangeable and are used to describe different species. To read about the different talents that have been recorded, click this link to go to the ASRC Guardian Talent Collection.
