Tanagerpaw is found napping in his sprouting herb garden for the third time today.

Tanagerpaw has been sticking close to Bramblingpaw ever since Turtlesplash's incident.

Tanagersong makes certain to congratulate the sisters on their new warriorship!

Since the announcements Tanagersong hasn't been seen out of the medicine den.

Tanagersong proudly chants Bramblingbite's new name before more privately congratulating her with a brotherly nuzzling.

Tanagersong requests to be sent on the patrol looking for Crookedpaw.

Tanagersong has withdrawn to the medicine den since the raid. He's only really been seen outside to get food or tend to the herb garden.

With the patrols return, Tanagersong is busy tending to any wounds and pains with Loudleech, however he also stops by Crookedpaw in the den, leaving him with a mouse and a muttered "I'm sorry".

Tanagersong is taken aback by the scream, but laughs as he congratulates and wishes the family good luck shortly before making a quick exit.

Tanagersong sits close as Crookedpaw tells him of his nightmares. He asks if he'd be comfortable with telling Loudleech about them too, as the older medicine cat may have more insight on them.

Tanagersong doesn't push the topic. Merely offers his thoughts as best he can while pressing his flank comfortingly to Crookedpaw's.

Tanagersong comes to check in on the new kits and Clearsong, but he seems stiffer than usual as he goes through his checklist to make sure everyone is healthy.

Tanagersong's brain seems to stall as Mistkit fluffs and flutters in his tail fur.

Despite his fumbling tenseness, Tanagersong can't help but laugh softly at Softkit's questions, but still reassures her that her brother will be just fine.

While helping Loudleech sort herbs in order to keep him from pestering Obsidianjaw too much, Tanagersong asks about herbal remedies to help with nightmares or sleep. He seems careful not to express why he's suddenly curious.

Tanagersong is approaching the nursery for his usual check up when Thunderkit's yowl rings out. He immediately turns around, electing to return when the kits are napping.

Tanagersong returns to the medicine den from the herb garden with a pawful of fresh poppy seeds and catmint that he drops by Crookedpaw. He sounds genuinely concerned as he asks the apprentice to at least try and sleep. Please.

Tanagersong narrowly keeps from trampling Mistkit as she races from the nursery. He stops her and offers to let her visit the herb garden or to escort her back to the safety of the den, not entirely sure how to comfort the kit.

Tanagersong walks with the patrol to the camp entrance. He wishes Bramblingbite and Rosebeam good luck, and adds a whispered "come home" to his sister.

Tanagersong steers clear of the grieving family, feeling out of place.

Tanagersong has kept his thoughts on Hazelstar to himself, but he can be heard muffling a laugh from the back of the medicine den at Crookedpaw's question.

Tanagersong snorts, and assures Crookedpaw that it'll be Loudleech who names him when the time is right.

Tanagersong, though uncomfortable in the nursery most of the time, makes a visit to say hello and check on Loudleech's kits. He comes bearing a mossball with scraps of good smelling herbs inside as a gift.

Tanagersong can be heard cackling at his mentor from beneath a pile of snow he'd buried himself in.

Tanagersong is curled up in the back of the medicine den. His ears are laid back and nose and face tucked under his tail.

Tanagersong apologizes to Tigertail, telling her she'll have to wait til he and the other medicine cats can tell how contagious Onespark's case is.

Tanagersong takes a moment from tending to the den's patients to snap at the apprentices to be quiet and remind them to steer clear of the medicine den unless its an emergency. He's been uncharacteristically stressed with the spread of the sickness.

Tanagersong has been seen crashing in more and more obscure areas for impromptu naps.

Tanagersong has been more on edge as of late. He's often heard trying to get Loudleech to take a break and rest.

Tanagersong has been quiet most of the day. He lingers close to Loudleech's side and though he says nothing, his paws tremble as he treats his mentor and their other patients.

Tanagersong has been silent the whole day. After the burial, he lingers at the Fallen Oak. His wail can be heard back in camp.

Tanagersong doesn't return to camp til late, and when he does he looks like he's tangled with a thorn bush. He crashes in the dormant herb garden for privacy.

Tanagersong leaves the den and garden briefly to congratulate Rosebeam.

Tanagersong makes certain to be the first to congratulate Bramblingbite with a loving headbutt to her shoulder.

Tanagersong is on his way out of the den when Birchpaw comes by. He greets him with a soft smile before leaving to make his almost daily now visit with Nightshine.

Tanagersong blinks confusedly at his sister as she shoves him, but he quickly shakes it off and gives a shove back before continuing on his way.

Tanagersong's eyes twinkle as he drops a pile of pretty leaves he'd collected at Nightshine's paws, eager to hear about her own finds.

Tanagersong is fast to return to camp, newly found feather in his jaws and a pep in his step as he brings it to show to Nightshine.

Tanagersong invites Nightshine to sunbathe by the lake that afternoon.

Tanagersong lingers nearby in case Softpaw requires help. He offers her a few words of encouragement as well.

Tanagersong silently praises Softpaw's progress and determination.

Tanagersong fixes Clearsong with a look, glancing from her to the medicine den. He doesn't seem pleased.

Tanagersong himself seems miffed when Thunderpaw comes over. He says he needs out of camp himself and ushers the apprentice to come along.

Tanagersong passes by Thunderpaw and Calfpaw on his way to the warriors' den with a mouthful of feathers. He manages to give a nod and small smile.

Tanagersong pads over to congratulate Nightshine and Jetpaw. He reassures the apprentice that his training is in good paws.

Tanagersong suddenly needs to see his sister as Birchpaw walks in. He smiles at the apprentice as he passes, but his ears seem to droop slightly.

Tanagersong seems indifferent to the warmer weather. He sprawls out in the garden and sunny spots in camp as usual.

Tanagersong strangely seems to have something to do anytime Birchpaw comes by the medicine den these days.

Tanagersong's mood seems lifted by the sight of Thunderpaw's energy returning.

Tanagersong sits outside the medicine den waiting patiently. He's seen scratching at his ears like a dog might and thumping his tail a bit more quickly today.

Tanagersong invites Buttercup on an herb search with him. He gives the older tom a soft glance before leaving.

Tanagersong catches the conflict and with a decisive twitch of his ear he steps out of camp after Ashfrost, snapping at the tom to get back in camp before he gets himself and Thundercry into trouble.

Tanagersong seems unmoved by Ashfrost's eye roll and remains stoic til he pushes back into camp. Glancing back to Thundercry he nods his head and warns him to be safe before turning back into camp himself.

Tanagersong is quiet as he follows Nightshine into the garden. He says nothing as he lays next to her, absently tucking a stray leaf into the large she-cat's fur.

Tanagersong seems unusually stressed by all the sudden kits running around camp. He hasn't left the medicine den since bringing Littlekit back to camp.

Tanagersong seems grateful for Nightshine's company. He's still antsy on his paws though even as he invites her out to the garden.

Tanagersong continues about his duties. If he notices Wolfkit he's not acknowledging the kit.

Tanagersong seems stiff and uncomfortable most of the day. He doesn't regard Wolfkit til about midday, awkwardly asking if he needs something.

Tanagersong awkwardly laughs at Jetpaw's comment, but he smiles and seems to relax at least a little in the apprentice's presence. He says he needs to head out and finish collecting herbs since their search had been cut short the other night, he'd appreciate the company since he promised Nightshine he wouldn't leave camp alone.

Tanagersong's expression becomes serious at Wolfkit's comment. He leans down and asks if he knows where his mother is, and what sort of sickness she has?

Tanagersong lets out an audible sigh as yet another kit wanders into the medicine den. He presses his forehead into a wall for several moments.

Tanagersong seems relieved at Nightshine's presence if his immediate good morning nuzzle is anything to go by.

Tanagersong suddenly becomes more firm with keeping kits out of the medicine den once Tinykit is ushered in. He asks Nightshine to keep watch, he doesn't want the sickness spreading to others or the she-kit to get worse.

Tanagersong stops by Wolfkit on his way to Rosestar's den. He says he's going to search for his mother right after speaking with the leader.

Tanagersong is found laying outside of the medicine den. It seems he flopped down before getting to the garden. He stares off into space and responds to no one.

Tanagersong seems tired. He asks Jetpaw if he and Nightshine could go find some herbs for the storage. He mainly needs more goldenrod.

Tanagersong wearily watches Wolfkit. He tugs him to his side and apologises. Yes. He's sorry he couldn't help.

Tanagersong has said nothing, but between his naps he's been bringing food and gifts to Obsidianjaw and Owlpool.

Tanagersong is taking his impromptu naps in more and more precarious locations.

Tanagersong was seemingly sleeping nearby but replies without missing a beat, saying Nightshine got bigger from spite. He doesn't seem completely awake yet.

Tanagersong laughs, a smile spreading across his maw for the first time in the past couple days. He comments to Nightshine  that being smaller than her just means he has more to love.

Tanagersong returns from herb hunting, dragging a large slab of tree bark along with the bundles of fresh goldenrod and dock.

Tanagersong returns from the garden to find kits piling up in his den. He contemplates turning back around but sighs and simply makes his way to his own nest.

Tanagersong watches Thundercry and Tinykit from afar. Though he's content with her progress, he still fears for what may come with leafbare.

Tanagersong is fast to congratulate his sister and friend. He teasingly tells them its about time.

Tanagersong sits under the cover of the medicine den entrance. He doesn't seem overly thrilled by the rain.

Tanagersong hasn't left the medicine den since the rain started. His disposition seems to sour with every passing day.

Tanagersong is laying in his nest, staring out into camp. He vaguely regards Nightshine as she enters, but only mutters something about it being nearly leafbare.

Tanagersong has finally emerged from the medicine den. He looks tired and his fur is tangled, still, he pads through the mud and quietly joins Owlpool with repairs.

Tanagersong eyes Snappaw for a moment before nodding his head. He tells him he can help with the repairs for now, and later he can join him in hunting out more catmint. He wants to stock up and be prepared for leafbare.

Tanagersong bids Owlpool and Obsidianjaw a goodnight before retiring to his own nest.

Tanagersong is checking in with Tinypaw when Thundercry comes over. He gives a warm smile and remarks to Pebbleskip that it could be good experience before returning to his den.

Tanagersong seems happy to have Nightshine's company. He rubs his cheek against hers and contently agrees to take a walk with her.

Tanagersong's invited Tinypaw to have breakfast with him while he shares some stories before her training begins that day.

Tanagersong seems a little caught offguard by Mistheart's question. He pauses and thinks, before seeming to remember something. He asks her if she'd be interested in testing something out.

Tanagersong makes sure to congratulate his cousin and Ryeleap. They weren't especially close but, it still felt good to see his kin happy.

Tanagersong watches from just outside the medicine den. He smiles as Nightshine joins him and leans against her.

Tanagersong happily thanks Bramblingbite, bumping the top of his head against hers and purring. With Owlpool, he gives her a reassuring smile and nozzles the top of her head in thanks before stepping back to coil around Nightshine.

With the cooler weather rolling in, Tanagersong can be found flopped in the middle of camp for his naps, appreciating the lower temperatures it would seem.

Tanagersong has been eyeing any cat with even the slightest sniffle. He seems on edge and around midday made an announcement that anyone showing the slightest signs of sickness report to the medicine den for a check-up. He's not taking any chances.

Tanagersong requests if she notices anyone showing symptoms to send them his way. Aside from that, he asks she stand-by for any possible moss or herb collecting he may need.

Since Leafbare has set in, Tanagersong hasn't looked anyone in the eye. Not even Nightshine, though he curls close to her most of the day.

The moment Tinypaw enters the medicine den, Tanagersong seems fearful. He ushers her in and is quickly running a routine check-up.

Tanagersong's heart is caught in his throat. He doesn't fully answer, merely mentions Tinypaw's heavily congested. He asks Owlpool to bring him some chickweed, chamomile, and coltsfoot.

Without looking in Thundercry's or Tinypaw's eyes, he says she'll be fine. He doesn't sound overly convinced.

Tanagersong hasn't left the medicine den since Tinypaw came in.

Tanagersong looks frazzled as he steps out of the medicine den, but he walks with a purpose. He makes a firm announcement that cats steer clear of the medicine den unless it's an emergency, he wants to limit the cough from spreading as much as he can.

Tanagersong cuts a look over his shoulder at Jetpaw and tells him to lie back down, leaving no room for arguing in his unusually firm voice.

Tanagersong was carrying out some dead and dried up herbs when Littlepaw practically ran into him. His expression is serious but he ushers Littlepaw along with him to ask her more detailed questions. Just in case.

Tanagersong stops to tiredly congratulate Obsidianjaw before continuing to his den. He carries a mouthful of fresh moss which he drops by Lichenpaw before turning to the herb storage. He quietly mentions she's safe here.

Once herbs and food had been distributed that evening, Tanagersong had coiled his tail around Tinypaw. There's a hopelessness in his silver eyes.

Tanagersong is waiting for Lightpaw with a stern look on his face as the apprentice "sneaks" back into the den. While the apprentice's want to help and care of his clanmates is good, he risks getting the rest of the clan sick picking from the prey and moss pile himself.

Tanagersong smiles at Thundercry and Lightpaw's interaction, but its short-lived and doesn't reach his eyes. By the time the warrior asks about Tinypaw, he's returned to grouping bundles of herbs together. His voice is barely above a whisper as he states that Tinypaw's status hasn't changed.

Tanagersong's relief at Tinypaw and Lightpaw's recovery is short lived as more cats file in and worsen. He offers the white kit a somber smile and tells her Thundercry would probably like to visit with her if she's up for it.

Tanagersong confirms it is, that's why he's been so careful about who comes in and out.

Tanagersong watches the new arrivals silently from the medicine den. His first encounter with rogues burns fresh in his mind and has his scar itching. He trusts Nightshine though, so he'll ignore it for now.

Having been busy putting the new catmint to use, Tanagersong only now makes his way to greet the newcomers, albeit briefly. He thanks them for the herbs they provided, gives a formal dip of his head, and returns to his work.

Since Silvermask's death, Tanagersong has been lying in the garden. He hasn't come out, even for food.

Tanagersong is silent for a long time, unmoving even as Nightshine joins him. Finally though, he murmurs something: "why can't I get this right?"

Tanagersong seems both annoyed and amused by Buttercup's fretting, but he reassures him every time he comes to ask about his mate.

Tanagersong is honest with Tigertail about Onespark's condition, though sympathetic. Afterwhich, he makes his way to help Mistheart reach the medicine den.

After the announcement, Tanagersong left Crookedpaw in charge of the medicine den and left camp on an herb search. He hasn't returned since, and the earth around his nest looks torn and ripped.

Early that morning Tanagersong went to speak with Rosestar about creating a sort of secondary "quarantine" camp for those most ill, and something else…

Unlike with the past few deaths, Tanagersong seems content, or at least resigned with Onespark's passing. Still, he offers his condolences to the grieving family.

Tanagersong is blearily peering out at the brewing storm. He absently comments now would be the time to go if Wolfpaw wants to make it to his own nest. It didn't seem like he really thought the tom would go, but the opportunity was there.

Tanagersong checks in on the  two remaining apprentices in his den before returning to Wolfpaw. At the tom's request, he smiles and nods, with newleaf coming and their talk of bees a while back, he takes to teaching quietly about blackberries and dandelions.

Tanagersong watches the storm outside with a furrowed brow. Though he's content to teach and spend time with Wolfpaw, he can't help but worry. He regularly checks in with Crookedpaw, Lichenpaw, and Carrotpaw to make certain everyone is warm enough.

Tanagersong looks especially hurt by Crookedpaw's words. He gapes his maw trying to find words, but finally just ducks his head, tucks his tail and apologizes before going to settle back in his own nest.

Tanagersong has been quiet today. He seems morose, but doesn't run Wolfpaw off.

Tanagersong reassures Obsidianjaw and Owlpool that with some rest and food, Sharppaw should be alright. He then pads out to find Nightshine so they can have some time of their own together.

Tanagersong sighs happily as he nuzzles against his mate. He murmurs he could do with a walk if she'd be up for it.

Tanagersong wordlessly slumps against Crookedpaw that morning with the news.

It seems Tanagersong slept in the warriors' den last night, curled up with Nightshine.

With Houndsnarl's snoring nearby, Tanagersong didn't get much sleep. Still, even though he's obviously tired, he seems content to just be with his mate. He affectionately snuggles into Nightshine's side, purring all the while.

Tanagersong checks in on Burntrose in the nursery before retiring to Nightshine's nest in the warrior's den for the night.

Once Tanagersong has checked on the overall health of the newly arrived kits, he's scampering back to his den in a hurry.

Tanagersong remains patient with Burntrose's worries. He offers to make his check up on her kits earlier than usual just to make sure, though he's certain they're fine.

Tanagersong gently smiles and reassures Burntrose that its no problem. He then pads out of the medicine den alongside her to the nursery.

Tanagersong smiles at Greykit's greeting. His eyes twinkle a little at the stick and he thanks her with a bow of his head.

Tanagersong had been sitting by the camp entrance for sometime. Eventually though, he moved to the garden where it seems he's been pacing.

Tanagersong halfheartedly thanks Bramblingbite for the prey. He asks if they'll be sending out a patrol soon to search. He'd like to join if possible.

Tanagersong steps forward from around his sister to acknowledge Gingersneeze. He asks to join the search party.

Tanagersong looks exhausted as he picks dead herbs from the stock, both from a lack of sleep and the emotional drainage from the night before. Still, when Greykit wanders in, he offers her a smile and asks what she needs.

Tanagersong brings a fresh stalk of lavender for Greykit that morning, and leaves a robin feather for Hollykit.

Tanagersong meets Tinyleaf half way to the medicine den, pulling her into a tight hug. He congratulates her, mewling how proud he is.

Tanagersong's ears and tail are drooping today. Still they warmly, albeit tiredly, greet Jetshine. The moment they notice Melonpaw waking, they quickly nose over a damp mossball and round up Crookedpaw.

Since Melonpaw was given the clear, Tanagersong has returned to sharing Nightshine's nest in the warrior's den.

Tanagersong is out sunbathing today in a warm spot in camp. He seems to be snoozing contently on his back, one of his paws occasionally twitching or kicking out in his sleep.

Tanagersong seems anxious as he emerges from the medicine den, staring up at the treetops. He's quick to round up a small group to go looking for herbs, especially catmint.

Tanagersong sweeps his gaze over the small army of apprentices that had gathered, feeling a cold sweat on the back of his neck. As Nightshine approached though he smiles and nods, silently thanking her for joining him.

The moment Honeypaw is wandering into the medicine den, Tanagersong's heart is in his throat and anxiety strumming through him. He shakes off the haunting sensation of dulled eyes watching him and is quick to begin checking up on the apprentice.

Tanagersong sits at the mouth of the den. The tom used to be so happy to wallow in the cold, even burrowing in the snow but today he just looks on somberly. Staring into nothing as leaves flutter by.

Tanagersong smiles wearily at Jetshine, though it doesn't quite reach his eyes. Still, he leans against the warrior and asks how warriorhood's been treating him. The distraction is nice.

Tanagersong spots Tinyleaf and smiles softly, approaching and asking if she'd like to go and see if any leafbare wildflowers were blooming yet with him.

Tanagersong prepared the body of Sorrelkit almost in a daze. Since the announcement, he's kept to the medicine den, nothing but dread and guilt weighing on his heart today, even as Nightshine comes to find him.

Tanagersong has been distant with the passing of Cherrykit and addition of Tansykit. He looks tired and utterly defeated as he stares out of the medicine den.

Tanagersong regards his mate wearily. He seems greatful for the offer, but turns Nightshine down as he turns to regard the other inhabitants of his den. He needs to be here right now.

Tanagersong fumbled his way out of his den that afternoon in a rush with only a hasty comment to Crookedpaw. He was suffocating in camp and his skin crawled every time he thought about the remaining days. He needed a break or something.

Tanagersong has barely moved today, leaving most of the care to Crookedpaw for now. Instead, he's been in the back of the den pressing his paws so tightly against his ears to block out the wheezy breaths in the den. Its been like this all morning.

Tanagersong looks up to Bramblingbite when she comes wearily. He hesitates, staring into the front of the den before finally, almost reluctantly agreeing to join his sister.

Tanagersong numbly laid next to Tansykit, offering his own warmth to the young tom. He didn't say anything, just nosed over a damp mossball and coiled his tail loosely around the both of them as he stared out of the den entrance.

Since the news was spread. Tanagersong fled camp in a hurry to seek out any sign of his friend and apprentice. He seems to be in a panic.

Despite Tigertail's assurances, Tanagersong almost looks as though he's gonna be sick when he finally stops. So many already have, he replies almost hopelessly. Something more seems to be on his mind but he just crumbles on the spot.

Tanagersong softly assures Tansykit that he'll be able to leave soon. He just needs to get a little better to make sure he doesn't get his mom or siblings sick too.

Tanagersong watched from the medicine den as Silver made the announcement. He waited til Crookedfoot padded over before smiling, albeit tiredly and pulling the tom into a small hug. He was proud, though he wished he'd said something before disappearing.

Shortly after the announcement, Tanagersong can be seen quickly striding from the medicine den to Rosestar's den.

Tanagersong smiles gently at Tansykit. He reminds him he's a strong and healthy kit, he'll be just fine. And Crookedfoot is a good medicine cat. It was his own choice to step down. At Owlpool's support though, his eyes lighten ever so slightly and he nuzzles her shoulder gratefully.

Tanagersong seems surprised by Hazelfang's request, still he nods and joins the elderly cat, respectfully asking how she's been feeling as he does.

Tanagersong nodded, affirming that was good in response to Hazelfang. As she continued on finally though, his heart squeezed in his chest and his eyes grew wide and watery for a moment. Swallowing thickly, he turns his own gaze to the stars, murmuring quietly that he hoped so.

Tanagersong is stooped over Nightshine's belly from behind, watching the kits, his kits, with big silver eyes.

Tanagersong slowly sank down to rest his chin across Nightshine's shoulders. As he noticed Owlpool though, he perks up and waves over the she-cat with a gentle smile.

Tanagersong gave it some time before checking in on Tinyleaf, asking first of course, if she was alright with him stepping in and checking on her. Not without giving Nightshine's cheek a quick lick as he passed naturally.

Tanagersong carefully slipped past Gingersneeze and his grandkits with a small smile, carrying to plump mice on his way to Nightshine.

When Tanagersong comes to visit that afternoon, he stops by Tinyleaf's nest to check on her and her kits for a moment before he made his way to Nightshine. He affectionately nuzzles his kits' heads, missing their fur with a chuckle.

Tanagersong gives the crowd a chance to thin out before trotting to Greymoon. He affectionately nuzzles the top of her head and congratulates the new warrior, telling her he's proud of her and he's certain StarClan is too.

Tanagersong was returning from dropping fresh, soaked moss off in the nursery when Owlpool caught him. He smiled and purred, saying he'd be happy to join her, though he's certain he's not much good at hunting or swimming.

When Tanagersong came to check in on his kits and mate, he also brought an extra mouthful of prey for Magpienose, offering her as reassuring of a smile as he could, though his own mind was clouded with worry.

With all their kits out as apprentices now, Tanagersong has spent his time in the new camp trying to strengthen his hind legs again, often relying on Nightshine for support. He looks more and more frustrated as he slumps to the ground again.

A similar question had been on Tanagersong's mind. He thinks about Owlpool's query, finally stating so long as they're under the stars their family is with them everywhere. If she feels she needs a physical place though, he'd be happy to help her set up a memorial of some sort for them.

Tanagersong nods in understanding, his features soft. He contemplates something before commenting that he's proud of Owlpool, and he's sure her family is too. He presses his forehead to her shoulder after struggling briefly to sit up, and asking how she's holding up with everything, genuine concern lacing his voice.

Tanagersong is grateful for Owlpool's help, and nods his head at her response. He's about to answer her redirection when Leechpaw approaches however. He smiles and compliments his son's catch and progress, but the expression falls slightly into concern as he watches him pad back to the den. After several moments of hesitation, he admits he's worried for his kits to Owlpool. After even longer, he admits he's frustrated with himself too.

While remaining friendly and hospitable, Tanagersong seems to be making an effort to steer clear of the new arrivals and cutting any conversations rather short. Some wounds are taking longer to heal then others.

Tanagersong seemed to have found a place to settle by himself while the clan milled about. When he spotted Leechpaw looking around though he was quick to flag down his son with his tail.

Tanagersong hasn't fully been himself lately it would seem. He seeks out his mate or one of his kits today to get out of camp with. He'd go alone but the fear of his hind legs falling out from under him at any moment stops him.

Tanagersong smiles and nuzzles his mate in return, though it's halfhearted. He says he'll be alright, before asking if she'd like to join him on a walk. He could use some fresh air.

Tanagersong's brow furrowed at the interaction between Owlpool and Mossfur, however the moment she crumples into Nightshine's side, his features shift to concern and sympathy and he's dragging himself to curl around her opposite side.

Tanagersong has seemed lost in thought most of the morning.

Tanagersong smiled and greeted Greymoon warmly as she approached. However when Rosestar flagged him down he paused, before nodding. He struggled to his feet before quipping to Greymoon that he'd catch up with her shortly before he tagged after his sister-in-law.

Tanagersong, on his way back to camp from his walk with Rosestar appears to be in even deeper thought. Perhaps that's why he collided so easily with the frantic Sweetmilk.

While Tanagersong returns to camp, he's up late meticulously sorting a bundle of herbs into three separate piles.

Tanagersong seems anxious about the news of a sick kit. Later when things aren't too crowded, he makes sure to stop in and let Crookedfoot know that if he needs anything to let him know.

Tanagersong was working out a numbness in one of his legs when Sugarpaw poked his head in. The older tom had to double take it seemed before offering a small smile, asking what he could do for the apprentice.

Tanagersong's face grows somewhat somber at the mention of Sweetmilk, but he's quick to relax his features again, calmly answering Sugarpaw that he hadn't been to see the she-cat today, but he had been speaking with her as of late.

Tanagersong seems contemplative as the young tom noses the prey over. Still, he smiles and nods, giving an "Of course". He also makes sure to let Sugarpaw know he's open to talk or sit if the apprentice ever wants, and that he hopes things are mended soon between Lightheart and Sweetmilk.

During one of the clan's rests, Tanagersong broke away from his family for a bit to find Sweetmilk. He makes sure to ask how the she-cat is.

He smiles softly as he comes to sit by Sweetmilk with a bit of a flop. He says his back is healing but it certainly is making the climb harder, especially compared to the trips he'd taken to the moonpool in his past. But he has Nightshine to help keep him on his feet when he needs it.

Tanagersong takes time to grieve for the fallen kitten while resting his legs. While it doesn't hurt as much from a distance there's still a weight in his heart. Still, the moment he feels able, he's up and helping around camp where he can.

Tanagersong had been resting his back when the announcement came. It seemed to take him a moment to realize his name had been called but when he did he was shooting up, perhaps a bit too quickly as something in his back pinched. Despite his uncertainties and worries, the tom gives Rabbitpaw a gentle smile and congratulations. He says he's excited to see how their training goes.

There's a softness in Tanagersong's face as he regards Rabbitpaw. He rumbles out that he feels the same before glancing up and suggesting the she-cat see about setting herself up a nest in the apprentice's den before there's no space left. They can start bright and early tomorrow with learning the new territory.

After a long conversation with Nightshine last night, Tanagersong is up early today and coming to find Rabbitpaw already waiting. He brings breakfast with him for both of them since its likely to be a long day.

Tanagersong perks up at the sound of Sweetmilk being called. After chanting the new apprentice's name he pads over to congratulate her and assure Mocha he's in good paws. As Smokepaw comes over, he offers a gentle smile to her before dismissing himself. Its almost like seeing a ghost sometimes.

Tanagersong frowns as Sweetmilk flees the scene. He seems to open his mouth to say something but Smokepaw is gone before he can find the words, so he settles for finding a spot to mull things over for a time.

Tanagersong is up early to round up Rabbitpaw. He seems to be feeling good today and has prepped a fun and hopefully useful lesson for their training.

Tanagersong is in camp finding something to eat when Vipershadow catches his attention. Knowing the tom mostly from Greymoon occasionally mentioning him, he's happy to flag him down and offer him a seat.

Tanagersong seems more than happy to share his thoughts if Vipershadow is seeking it. He patiently waits to let the other tom speak, giving his fellow warrior his full attention.

Tanagersong is patient. As Vipershadow finishes his thoughts though he lifts his head and offers a smile. He assures the tom that he thinks he would have been okay. From what he has seen and heard, Vipershadow is a good cat. Even if it wasn't with them, he was sure the warrior wouldn't have let himself stay with the wrong cats.

Tanagersong gives Vipershadow a gentle smile and reassures him that there's nothing he needs to do in return. He likes to help when he can. He purrs and reminds the tom to just take care of himself.

Tanagersong's face is soft and understanding as Rabbitpaw approaches. He may not know what's going on but he reassures her and gives her the day off, pressing his nose to her forehead for but a moment. Of course, he rumbles, tend to yourself and your kin.

Tanagersong seeks out Rabbitpaw, both to see if she's up for training and to check up on her for his own sake. He brings a couple mice with him.

Tanagersong perks up at Greymoon's approach. He says he'd be happy to host a joint training session. He makes sure how to ask her and his son's training is going while they look for their respective apprentices.

Tanagersong frowns as the meeting commences. He's caught up in thought or maybe more so memories when Nightshine checks in. He offers her a reassuring smile before going to check on their kits more thoroughly. Just for his own peace of mind.

Tanagersong's usually calm and reserved demeanor is broken with the announcements as he joins his mate in shouting out their kits new names. He does briefly cast a worried glance to Spiderpaw, knowing the tom's ambitions, but still swoops in to hug Leechmask and Featherfall. He also stops by Sugarleaf and Smokeshine to give a warm congratulations.

Tanagersong can't help but feel mostly relieved by the coming of Newleaf. While some cats passed, it was nowhere near what it had been like the past few leafbares. A part of him somberly wonders if it was in part due to him, that the sickness came. Was he on the wrong path? He furrows his brow and shakes his head before going to find Nightshine to see if she may want to join him for a walk.

Tanagersong checks in on Rosestar that morning. He's carrying a couple field mice with him.

Old habits die hard and when he hears of the sickness, Tanagersong finds himself heading towards the medicine den. He catches himself but still makes sure to ask if Crookedfoot needs anything from the entrance.

While his nerves are still a little frayed, Tanagersong purrs happily for his sister and sister-in-law. He leans up against Nightshine muttering "Its about time".

Tanagersong waits for most of the cats checking in with Vipershadow to disperse before he pads over. He both checks on the tom and offers a simple poultice that may help with any lingering pain. Venomous or not, snake bites hurt sometimes. Even after that though, he lingers for a chat if the tortie warrior is up for it.

Tanagersong cracks a smile at Vipershadow's remark. He hums in an overexaggerated thoughtful manner before commenting that maybe it was fate. His eyes twinkle ever so slightly.

Tanagersong splits up his day between each of his kits if they aren't too busy. He does take the time to congratulate Alderheart and Ryeleap though.

Tanagersong meanders over to sit by Nightshine. He seems about as calm as usual but there's a twinkle in his eye as he leans against his mate.

Tanagersong makes sure to give Rosestar and Bramblingbite some time to breathe before coming in, if invited. He brings a freshly dampened mossball with him and a quick congratulations before leaving the two to rest and bask. He seeks out Nightshine to curl up against her, purring happily.

Tanagersong doesn't hesitate to scoop his son up into a warm hug. He tells Featherfall how proud he is of him.

Tanagersong seeks out Owlpool today. It's been a while since they hung out and his back isn't giving him too much trouble today, so he invites her on a walk. After a bit of peaceful catching up though, he does rather bluntly ask if she and Mossfur are considering mateship yet.

Tanagersong smiles leaning against her and curling his tail over her shoulders. He tells her he's proud of her, and it's good to see her happy with someone. He thinks they're good for each other.

Once some of the excitement dies down a bit, Tanagersong finally makes his way to Sweetmilk. He brings a bundle of downy feathers for her and a warm congratulations.

Tanagersong smiles and happily sits with Sweetmilk. He chuckles softly and admits that he and Nightshine had never intended on having kits, so it was quite the surprise. He also very bluntly admits it was a big motivator for him stepping down from his position as medicine cat. Still, he wouldn't change the choices he's made for anything, those three kits are some of the best things in his life.

Tanagersong had checked out the kitten Nightshine had brought back more on instinct then anything else. Still, as his mate goes to check in later, he stays behind. The nursery is a little too busy for himself.

Tanagersong gave Driftkit a look over of his own until she was bumbling off to check out some of the others. As Nightshine returns, they smile and purr, happy to join their mate for a walk.

Tanagersong is happy to sit and talk with Vipershadow about being a parent. Though he does note his own experiences differ to others he's sure. After all, he and Nightshine had never planned for kits. Not that he didn't love each and every one of his sons, he couldn't imagine his life without them now.

Tanagersong waits a little while for Sweetmilk's family and friends to visit before he eventually goes to see her. He congratulates her and drops off a small bundle of dampened moss before leaving her to rest.

Tanagersong makes sure to congratulate Nightshine and Sycamorepaw, brushing against his mate and purring happily before his attention shifts elsewhere. He goes to speak with Crookedfoot very briefly before going to find Greymoon. Just in case.

While Nightshine was up bright and early for her mentor duties, Tanagersong was murmuring a sleepy "Have a nice day" Before he curled back up in the still warm, empty space of their shared nest.

Tanagersong had gone out to hunt with Featherfall in Nightshine's absence. As he returns to camp and drops off his catch with a yawn, he spots Greymoon. He pads over to curl up next to her, careful not to jostle her though.

Tanagersong is happy to let Greymoon ramble. He chatters back when it calls for it, but is mostly happy to listen til one or both of them crash into a midday nap.

Tanagersong is going out with one of his kits when Greymoon is returning. He offers her a smile and compliments her catch before carrying on.

Tanagersong makes sure to stop by and check in with Hazelfang. Spotting Crookedfoot and Bluekit he pauses to offer them each a warm smile and greeting.

Tanagersong is watching the sky today. He hasn't done that in a while, but the antsiness in camp has his head tilted up and brow furrowed, waiting with bated breath.

Tanagersong is sleeping more and more heavily with recent events. He presses close to Leechmask and reaches his tail around to touch Nightshine's. Despite his company, he's restless, fidgeting in his sleep every so often.

Tanagersong had slept through the snowfall. He wakes up from a napping spot absolutely covered in the white powder. He doesn't look particularly bothered as he doesn't shake it off, but there is concern in his furrowed brow as he regards the prey pile.

With the colder weather, Tanagersong's back has been aching more and more, and so he worries a little when his name is called. Still, he smiles and bumps noses with Mothpaw before chuckling at her and Firkit's exchange. He tells her to get herself moved into the apprentice's den and they'll go out exploring tomorrow before leaving her with her friends and going to congratulate both of his sons.

Tanagersong's back is aching today but that doesn't stop him from dragging himself over to nuzzle Owlpool and congratulate her and Mossfur. He teases them with a small "bout time" before having to go and lay down again.

Tanagersong seeks out Mothpaw for training today. He mentions they may also look for herbs for the ill and hurt while they're out. He also apologizes if he's a little slow today with a chuckle.

Tanagersong's eyes sparkle as he watches Mothpaw's pace slow. He smiles and tells her he appreciates it but she's free to wander as long as she stays in his line of sight. He knows there's a lot to see still.

Tanagersong is dropping fresh herbs by the medicine den when he spots Mothpaw searching around. He perks his ears and pads over with a gentle call of her name.

Tanagersong has been distant today, his ears pinned back and face twisted in a frown. His attention flits to the medicine den and worry at the familiarity hammers his heart against his ribs. But it's not his place anymore, so he sits in silence.

Tanagersong seems like he's been shaken from a daze when Rosestar approaches. Still, he doesn't turn her down and struggles to his paws. Bluepaw's approach does give him pause though, and he decides to lean his hip against his sister-in-law while they talk, seemingly unperturbed by the offer to bring the apprentice with them.

Tanagersong has been filled with a new guilt this leafbare as he watches the medicine den and the preparations for Birchpaw's burial. He needs to get up and do something before his mind wanders too far. He wishes rest and safe passage to the apprentice as he leaves camp.

Tanagersong perks up as Owlpool approaches. He smiles and happily agrees, heaving to his paws so he can collect Mothpaw.

Tanagersong sits in confliction with the announcement. After a while he still makes sure to give his condolences to Clearsong's family before stepping back into the warrior's den.

Tanagersong initially seems confused but, cracks a smile at the sight of Mothpaw playing. One look at his back though, and he decides joining her is probably a bad idea. So they wave before going to Nightshine and clambering ontop of their mate, careful not to jostle Daphnepaw on the way.

Tanagersong smiles at Mothpaw's antics and shifts to allow her an easier way in. As Leechmask approaches, he purrs and comments that they were always open to spend time with him. When he wasn't busy with anyone special of course, they teased warmly.
