Evolving

Aries had heard about a terrifying pokemon that roamed at the bottom of the volcano. A gigantic arcanine with sharp teeth and claws and what was said to be an abyss for mouth. Her sister Olive had especially told her not to approach this pokemon under any circumstances. But Aries was curious. What could have made this pokemon become so powerful and strong? She had to discover it. Her friend Claire was ill and couldn't join her on her quest. Or challenge should I say.

The blonde vulpix had packed a few items in her backpack and went to the bottom of the volcano. Hidden behind a thick bush, she observed her surroundings. There was no arcanine in sight. A couple of rookidee were flying between the tree's branches, and the meowing of a Glameow echoed in the clearing. Aries was nervous. Were the rumors false? Suddenly, a twig cracked behind the vulpix. Turning around with her fur forming spikes along her spine, Aries noticed that the arcanine was standing and judging her quietly. She knew she was supposed to run away, but Aries didn't want to leave without a proof that this arcanine existed- at least she could bring this proof back to Claire, and her friend would be impressed. The arcanine started walking toward the vulpix and Aries quickly jumped on the pokemon's shoulder, and after using her claws to climb on the arcanine's back, she attempted to bite it. The arcanine growled, shaking his body to try and remove the blonde vulpix. Aries felt her grips loosen and jumped on the arcanine's head and quickly used her move 'confuse ray' to make the big pokemon confused. The totem pokemon fell on the ground in a loud noise. Gently, Aries cut a bit of the arcanine's chest fur, excited to show it to her friend Claire.
