Red.


Everything was red, as far as the eye could see.


At the center of it all, a tall figure stood, covered head to toe with claws almost scraping the floor and panting with exertion.

Percy opened the door to the hallway very slowly, peeking out of the closet they were in.
The figure at the end of the hall didn’t move, something they took as a good sign as they slipped out of the slight crack in the door.

They were a bright spot of yellow against the red backdrop of the walls, save for a teardrop of crimson hanging around their neck, which they thumbed at somewhat nervously.

“Are you done?” Percy whispered, her voice a croak as she came to a stop a few feet from the Diver in the middle of the carnage.

When the Red Diver didn’t respond save for a slight turn of their head, she smiled shakily and reached for one of their massive claws. It was slick and warm in her hand.

“Let’s go home.”
