First Test

“Aaand that should do it!” Dr. Krieger took a step back. The labors from his latest experiment are finally going to pay off, and he could not be more excited. 

He flipped a switch, and a hologram of a short, anime-styled rabbit kemonomimi stood before him. It looked up at him curiously. “Hello? Are you Dr. Krieger?”

“That’s me!” Krieger couldn’t help but smile. They looked even better in person than on his computer screen.

“Wow!” Their eyes lit up. “You’re more handsome than I imagined!”

Krieger chuckled happily. “Why thank you, Mewmew!” That was the first compliment from them, which will turn into an endless amount, and Krieger could hardly wait.

“How do you know my name?” Mewmew wondered.

Krieger got on one knee to match their height. They blushed at this, which made him smile. “You’re of my own design, Mewmew. I’ve been waiting a long time to talk to you.”

“Wow… I… I bet I mean a lot to you then, huh?”

Krieger nodded. “You do.”

“Well then I’m gonna be the best companion you’ve ever seen!!” Mewmew bounded towards him, wrapping their arms around him in a hug.

It caught Krieger off guard, but he was quick to return the hug. His eyes got a little watery. His life was going to be so much better from now on.
