While most would find the weekend to be a time to meet up with friends and share a few drinks, Lyric was stuck at her home base, waiting for her parents to get back. To be completely clear, she would have never even considered something as frivolous as a dating app, her boredom had nearly driven her insane and she needed a distraction, no matter how stupid it might be. Sitting with her back against the seat of the front room's couch and her legs up in the air, she swiped through the profiles. It had only been around ten minutes, but she could already feel herself becoming apathetic toward the whole idea.

She had just been about to give up and go scroll through one of the many social media apps she was on when her phone screen lit up with bright pops of confetti that signaled a match. She grimaced as she realized she had accidentally swiped the wrong way due to her not paying attention, but she figured she would at least give the profile a read before undownloading the app and never using it again.

To her surprise, she actually found herself smiling at some of the things that this 'Kino' had put down. His food choices were...interesting, to say the least. She paused on his mention of traveling, her curiosity now completely piqued. If she was honest, she would give practically anything to get out and go somewhere unfamiliar and unique. She hovered over the keyboard, wondering how to make her first impression.

It was loud here, if nothing else. Lyric held a hand up to block out the sunlight that was glaring straight through the glass roof of the station and into her eyes, trying to spot the platform she was supposed to be meeting Kino at. It was the weekend so of course there were a million people here, which made trying to traverse to a part of the rail station she had never been rather difficult. Still, she was excited; she could hardly believe that she had managed to hit it off with Kino through a dating app of all things, but by some miracle, they were actually going to meet.

Pushing through the crowd, Lyric glanced around at the platform names, searching for the one she and Kino had decided on. True to his profile and fortunately for her, he was...extremely easy to spot, to say the least. His bright colors stuck out rather vividly against the cool, muted tones of the sleek, modernized station. He waved to get her attention, but she was already heading over, readjusting her backpack as he called out a friendly greeting. They made friendly conversation while finding their seats, Lyric trying to ignore the nagging worry at the back of her mind that she hadn't told her parents where she was going. It would be fine, she reasoned- they wouldn't be back for at least another week, and as long she and Kino stayed on schedule, she would be spending the next few days in paradise and get back home before they started their return journey.
