"Blue'Stone, are you sure?"

"of course I am!" Blue'Stone cried excitedly, bouncing up and down on her paws. Bark'Fur ducked his head lightly, wishing that she wouldn't be so loud.

"I don't know," he mumbled, kicking at the ground with a paw, "I mean, surely everyone gets weird dreams sometimes?"

Blue'Stone scoffed, nudging Bark'Fur with her shoulder, "No Bark'Fur, no one has weird dreams where Star'Clan tells them that they are chosen! This means something!" She laughed, her face split in a huge grin, "I can't believe that this is happening"

She was practically jumping now, her entire body vibrating with excitement. Bark'Fur shrunk in on himself, the prospect of being chosen for anything being his worse nightmare. Once, when he was a younger apprentice, his mother had asked the leader if he could go to the gathering with the other apprentices. Bark'Fur had dreaded it so much that he fiend sick for the days going up to the gathering, causing the Medicine'Cat a huge amount of stress as he couldn't seem to figure out what was wrong with him.

Bark'Fur frowned, shaking his head. Blue'Stone stopped her jumping, sitting beside the sulking tom. "Hey? What's wrong?" Bark'Fur shrugged, sighing deeply. Blue'Stone nudged the young tom, confusion showing on her face. Bark'Fur really didn't want to have to explain what he was feeling, least of all to Blue'Stone who he was sure would simply dismiss his distress and instead reiterate about how exciting being the 'chosen one' is. He instead shook his head again, giving his friend a weak smile. "Nothing's wrong, i'm just..nervous..is all"

Blue'Stone grinned in relief, satisfied at Bark'Fur's response. She stood again, facing the young tom with the same big grin she had before. "There's nothing to be nervous about!" She spoke excitedly, "If you're chosen by Star'Clan, then that can only mean that great things are about to happen." Blue'Stone squealed, turning away from Bark'Fur. She trotted quickly around in a circle, her mind racing ahead of her. Bark'Fur simply watched, grimacing at the thought of things happening. First the blaze, and now this? It was enough to make him want to stay in his moss bed all day, and it nearly did after he had his prophetic vision, but he knew better then to ignore his warrior dutys. The warrior code had been drilled into his brain enough that he could recite it word for word if he tried, which would make him very hypocritical if he stayed in bed all day instead of helping the clan. Which would also mean that ignoring the prophecy and continuing as normal would be honouring the code. Bark'Fur smiled slightly, the thought pleasing him. As long as he didn't have anymore prophecy's sent to him, he could simply just live his normal life, no matter what Blue'Stone say's. No prophecy to worry about. No 'chosen one' that needed to be fulfilled. Simply being a warrior was enough for Bark'Fur
