What?
The Ship Lords are animals that are turned into giant, ship-carrying lizard-beasts of varying sizes, shapes, appearances and even other species, forged with armaments attached to their bodies, with said armaments being easy to refine or replace with more up to date weapons, with each weapon that is introduced being incorporated seamlessly into their bodies. All equipment can be changed in a similar manner.

Ship Lords have the ability to change their size from a humanoid size to their maximum ship size. When they engage their maximum size, they are capable of having a small avatar who can roam the ship, offering better and more up-close command with their crew, if they are present.

Ship Lords are theoretically Immortal, aging mostly with rust, decay and general weathering on the ship connected to them.

How?
A frequent question when discussing Ship Lords, how are they made? Well, nobody is really sure. Scripture and uncovered evidence has shown the practice of making Ship Lords has been around even before the Egyptians. However, the Greco-Romans perfected the practice and later on, more and more legendary ship-makers improved on it more and more with newer materials.

The process requires an alchemical mixture to form what is known as a 'Ship Lord Heart', a powerful gem with powerful energies, strong enough to power EVERYTHING and last for millennia. However, with all this power, there is a heavy cost to pay for: The resources used are VERY hard to find, we're talking in a 50 year time period between 1900 and 1950, only 5 Hearts were successfully made. They are also very dangerous, with the most refined, modern Hearts around having the destructive capabilities of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Classification?
Classifying a Ship Lord is pretty easily done, since most follow the lines of: "[Title] [Sub-species] Ship Lord ([Ship Class])"
For example, we have gotten a few examples from around the world to help:

  • Greater Vulpus Ship Lord (Yamato-Class)
  • Scarred Ursa Ship Lord (Kiev-Class)
  • Ancient Martes Ship Lord (Trireme-Class)

The '[Title]' of a ship is based off either: How long ago it was made, what Era it was made, any changes (Such as upgrades, etc.) or even achievements. For example, the 'Ancient' title can be used for everything over 1000 years old.

The '[Sub-species]' is for the animal parts of the Ship Lord which do not belong to the lizard/reptile or the ship. Fairly common given how there are so many species that could possibly be used as the organic addition to the creation.

And '[Ship Class]' is the classification of the ship that has gone into the creation of the Ship Lord, easy enough.
