Dreams of the Deep: Medi's Crew

They had thought dreams could not slip into a further state of pure sublime weirdness with the Starwell and its tales of crafting fabulous deep dreams for those who took to swimming in its waters. This dream had taken the cake for the entirety of the ship Medi ran, looking around after he slipped off into dreamland... everyone was here.

Clearly, Medi was here in his mermaid browbird form. This time, however, he was the only one sporting the Angelic Wing Cloak that hung from his shoulders, now larger and in a proud leader-like fashion. With each turn, he waved the series of feathers that sparkled up beautiful bubbles. To his surprise, due to their size, small fish trailed under them, much like fish taking to a whale on its travels - clinging close and moving in union with the graceful movement of the cloak. He glided around in the water with ease, but it was more thanks to his fins and tail compared to the might of the angelic wing cloak now. However, it still gave a bit of flair and might to his movement.

To his amazement, Winnie and Blossom were there in their own unique forms - just as they had described after their own personal dreams from the deep Starwell. Then, looking down, he saw Khadgar clinging to the most marvelous-looking Oogieboogs, who was practically a swimming godly kitbull fish dragon. Never in Medi's life had he thought to see Oogieboogs so happy and carefree, proudly showing himself off, which reminded Medi that this was only a dream. Unfortunately, there would be no place in the real world where he saw Oogieboogs happy, other than when he found peace in the moments of fishing on the morning shores.

When he tried swimming up to test his luck, his eyes fell upon the familiar little face of Fishy Magna, the kettlekat, in her mermaid kat version. Instead of jumping to any of her shipmates, the companion was having a blast chasing the tiny fish that swam around Medi's cloak. For once in his dreams, the deepness and vast center of the Starwell's pool did not feel empty. It did not leave him feeling a need to try and move to find something else, anything else. This here, with his family in his dreams, even as odd fish versions, felt like home - peaceful and warm. Instead of them all choosing their paths to venture up and down, they all opted to swim around, playing an odd game of tag together.

Medi did not know if this Starwell dream actually had them all in it in their own dreams or if he had dreamed them up himself. Nonetheless, there was peace in this final dream of the deep, and he actually liked it.
