The scent of fresh bread and freshly ground coffee flood through her nose as cheerful chatting falls on deaf ears, allowing herself to fall into a daydream as eyes fluttered close behind the thick aray of lashes. A peaceful life away from the Survey Corps, outside the walls with nay any titans in sight; only herself and the love of her life on a farm, surrounded by blossoming flowers and dogs; lots of dogs, she decides to herself.

For once, the day life within the confines of Wall Rose felt safe; a day where she can finally exhale the breath laid baited in her throat, stress melting off her shoulders. The slight breeze blows through Amber's auburn locks, tousling them playfully as her body relaxed her forearms against the windowsill, teal gaze lingering at the clear, bright sky dotted with fluffy white clouds.

The feel of firm arms winding around her waist elicited a surprised breath from parted ombré lips, breaking her from her reverie as a broad chest pressed firmly against her back, Mike's nose ghostly brushing against the curve of her neck, deeply inhaling her scent while lips laid a lingering kiss to her pulse.

"There you are." Mike's deep vibrato, barely above a whisper, tickled her eardrums like a melody, calloused palms cradling her hips, cascading under her shirt to press against the skin.

"Here I am." She chuckled softly, leaning back against his chest, hand reaching up to cup his cheek, fingers tracing across his stubble to hold him closer. "Did I wake you?"

A low hum rose from the back of his throat indicated a 'no', his chin cradling against the curve of her shoulder as sage green hues stared out the open window, softening a fraction before they returned to her. Amber's hands ran down Mike's exposed arms, finger nails tracing lightly against the veins to his hands, lacing their fingers together.

"Your scent was starting to disappear," He stated, lips dancing feather light against the curve of her cheek, thumb rubbing into the muscle of her palm. "I could tell you left a while ago."

Another chuckle. "Sorry, I'm an early riser," She stated, turning her head to brush her lips against his own, drawing him into a slow kiss, mapping out every inch of his skin. His hand released hers, cupping the now flushed cheekbone in his calloused palm while the other slid around her waist, deepening the kiss as her own arms wound across his broad shoulders.

"I was just daydreaming about our plan after all of this. That is, if you still want that with me." The smile on his lips was enough to assuage her worries, watching the way his eyes lit up at her words.
